I turned 21 last month, so of course I pulled up my solar return for this year and I discovered some very troubling things. My first concern being Uranus in the 5th house. I've been worried about this since I pulled up my SR on my birthday. It can mean unexpected pregnancy, crumbling of a stable relationship, or unusual interests/creativity (at least from what I'm guessing).

For the solar return I also have Moon in the 5th house, and Mars and Neptune in the 4th. My solar return fourth house is in the radix 5th house, and my solar return 5th house is in the radix 6th house.

A pregnancy is really scary for me, I want to finish school, my fiance and I are NOT ready for a child, I started a new birth control, have medical conditions which complicate pregnancy, along with endometriosis. So the chance for pregnancy seems low, but Uranus always shocks people. And looking at the other aspects I listed it seems like a pregnancy may happen (even though I'm on BC and use condoms). But a relationship ending is scary for me too, I don't want to lose my significant other!

So, I am asking for opinions, and personal experiences, on Solar Return Uranus in the 5th house. Any help at all would be MUCH appreciated, thanks everyone

My opinion is solar returns do not require a separate chart to be cast with a whole new set of houses (so ignore them). I understand that many astrologers do this, but I consider it something just short of a scam, another thing to pay for, keep you coming back, promotes *anxiety* rather than deepening understanding.

Your birth chart is your guide. Follow transits to your birth chart if you like, but never add any other houses or cast a separate chart (with the exception of a composite for a relationship that is locked in).

We're looking for order not chaos. Too many charts promotes chaos, especially in laypersons.

Thank you so much Kannon! I can't tell you enough how much this helped relieve my anxiety. I appreciate your wisdom. Your presence has been missed here at LL, and I'm glad you are back. Thanks again (:

My second opinion is that most birth charts are not accurate enough to produce a natal solar position that is precise enough to then be used for casting an annual solar return chart, therefore rendering any house lines drawn in it unreliable (even if you do buy into casting SR charts).

Most natal Ascendants are at least several degrees off. Take the figure 10° of arc for a typical correction needed. That equates to nearly a full minute arc (on avg) of change to the natal solar position, which equates to the same 10° inaccuracy for any solar return chart "Ascendant". That means houses for such charts are just as unreliable/inaccurate as the average natal Asc.

Then there is the unresolved question of whether calculations of such a chart should adjust for precession. Astrologers disagree on this. An astrologer adjusting for precession will cast an entirely different chart with entirely different house placements than one who does not.

Folks, please stop buying these charts or requesting them from astrologers. If you want to know the astrological weather for the next year, simply track your transits by this priority:

1) Pluto
2) Neptune
3) Uranus
4) Saturn ... and the declinations of these (parallel, contraparalel transits
5) Jupiter

And remember, astrology doesn't happen to us in the form of random events. It happens first as energies we can direct and work with. Events are created through us from energy > consciousness > action.

Thank you I appreciate your kind words.

And it is good to be back to work, because my left knee has not been supporting physical mobility lately, so my mind really needs the focus!

When Uranus transited my 5H, I had a significant fling with a soulmate, I did get pregnant at some point during that transit. I will add that during that transit I learned a lot about astrology, more than any other time in my life and became Moderator here.
