Hello. I'd like if you guys can share experiences with the Jupiter squares you have in your chart. For example, someone with Jupiter square Venus or DSC could be "unlucky" in love? I have Jupiter square MC but don't have a career yet so I don't know. Please don't quote.

I don't know to be honest.I have 5 squares to jupiter and I don't think I have LUCK but no one I know have either lol I never find an explanation to jupiter squares.

Jupiter is my 7th house ruler.I don't think I'm unluck in love,actually I most likely can blame myself for the things that went wrong in my relationships lol

Please don't quote

Squares and Opposites to the planet of adventure, higher learning, risk, truth, luck and optimism.

Most likely this manifests in a way in which you would over-do, put too much faith into something and not enough work, making risky and unwise decisions, access, too carefree or yes depending on the aspect, signs and planets involved even bad luck.

I have a good Jupiter but not a lucky one. Most celebrities have good Jupiter aspects on top of good placements. I have Sun square Jupiter and Saturn square Jupiter.

I also have Jupiter trine MC, Sextile my Moon and Mercury and he is in Sag in my 2nd house. Although Jupiter represents luck and placed in the house of money, I have not been very lucky with money. However, I have always been able to get money when I REALLY need it. Most of the time I go out of my way to receive finances. It is not magically thrown to me. I am lucky with jobs as well, I can interview really well and have had a decent career so far at 22. But the difference is that I cannot always find my optimism, or truth in what I do in my life. Jupiter square Saturn causes this and he has given me many lessons with my Jupiter. Jupiter is all about being free and having faith and most of the time when I do these things that Jupiter represents I have Saturn come and take the fun away. When I'm happy I'm HAPPY, and when I celebrate I tend to go overboard nearly Everytime. Jupiter is my 3rd strongest planet but even stronger in placement. I live my life by faith (2nd house Jupiter) and gain money off my positivity and dreams. He has not really been there for me in transit or progression but natally (which is the most important) he has saved me when I needed him the most.

Jupiter also expands everything it touches. So if you had a poorly aspected Venus-Neptune aspect with Jupiter you can always go blind and see what you want in other people, which could draw betrayals or untrustworthy people towards you time and time again.

If you have Jupiter touching your Pluto with good aspect you may be able to be rich in this lifetime.

I would say yes for me, personally.

I have Jupiter oppose Mercury and my Sun. Oh boy, luck isn't my middle name.

I'm almost at my Saturn Return and my luck is changing for the better.

So yes, even with a bad Jupiter, life can get better as you get older.

hello!
jupiter is happy go lucky so it can make the person overdo due to ignoring the consequences or believing that everything will be alright!

bad or good luck are also subjective

jupiter square/opposite venus
tends to bring way more romantic encounters than others who don't have this, unless saturn also aspects venus. they can also be extreme when it comes to spending money, i.e. too generous

jupiter square/opposite DC
again a lot of one-on-one (not just fooling around) contacts with other people

jupiter square/opposite the MC
can make the person have (or wish to have) multiple jobs

I hesitate to think of Jupiter as a "luck" planet for a number of reasons I won't get into right now.

My personal feeling and experience with Jupiter is that it gives the native a feeling of confidence in the areas it governs in their chart, or in the points it touches in a friendly way.

What I *think* happens if Jupiter is making a hard aspect to something is that this is an area the native really LIKES and WANTS in their life and feels like it should be easier to "get there". Whatever there is. I know that's a little confusing, but my reasoning for this is that whenever I have a Jupiter square transit going on, that is ALWAYS the area I am obsessing over for whatever reason at the time. So when I go and see that I have Jupiter squaring a planet or something having to do with that area of my life, it always lights up for me as "ohhhh okay, so I am really driven in this area right now and the struggle bothers me because I feel like this should be easier."

I think Jupiter makes us feel like we should be able to do whatever it is we have our heart set on. So the longer the wait, or the more the obstacles, the more frustrating it is.

Again, just my experience.

I was just thinking about it again and i remembered reading some people say that there isn't good or bad aspects. And i believe this is true. It's mostly up to us to decide how to use the energies in our charts.

@Empty Spaces
Yes i noticed that too, there isn't much info about Jupiter squares. And relationships get better in the long run as we mature, at least i believe so

@Radium
You surely have a good Jupiter! The square to Saturn and the trine to your MC can be why you have no difficulty related to jobs and career.

@Sulkyarcher
I hope everything will get much better for you dear!

@girlwiththerainysoul
I agree with you. And it seems like this aspect (Jupiter square MC) plays out for me just like you described.

Thank you @Cappi112 for sharing your experience, and thanks everyone too!

Even hard Jupiter aspects are beneficial.
What frequently happens is they are wasteful.
Easy come, easy go.

Nyctea, I'll answer in principle, because I do have Jupiter aspects to many points in my chart, but no squares.

No, Jupiter square Venus (or anything else) does not mean "unlucky" in love.

There is a fundamental principle in astrology, which is that a planet's energy (principle) is never changed because of the aspect geometry it participates in. Only its approach with that other planet's energy is specified. In other words, hard aspects do not turn a planet's influence 'bad'. That means we have to understand aspects individually rather than thinking only in terms of oppositions and squares = hard, therefore "bad."

Jupiter is still the 'greater benefic' even in these hard aspects.

Conjunctions = blending or fusing of two principles/planets.

Sextiles = flow or harmony of minds or communication.

Squares = driving dynamics in which both planetary principles seek full expression, creating maximum tension, which lends itself to an on/off dynamic with many planetary combinations. This is where Jupiter's aspects tend towards over-doing, expanding across the surface of our lives with the notion of 'more', but they lend towards all aspects of growth.

Trines = flowing outreach or growth capacity.

Quincunxes (150°) = awkward relation of two planetary principles that requires adjustment in the way a person expresses one or both energies.

Oppositions = energies at height of their energetic expression in relation to each other, seeking integration, balance.

As to Jupiter/MC, Many people's charts are not accurate at the Asc/MC without some adjustment. So neither of us know for certain you actually have that aspect, even if your chart is cast according to a specific recorded birth time. Not commonly understood.

However, even if you have this aspect, astrological potentials still take time to unroll and be realized in how you direct those energies. They urge, but do not compel any of us to anything. So be patient with yourself.
