For the Moon. If it's too wide, the Moon would be unasepcted because in this case it's the only aspect it makes to a planet other than a minor aspect to the Asc. IP: Logged |

So far, I have gone up to 8 degrees for a trine and only because both planets involved in said trine, Mars and Pluto, make major aspects to my Scorpio Ascendant. I wouldn't consider every case of an 8-degree trine though and I doubt I'd consider a 9-degree trine at all.IP: Logged |

I personally believe that even though it is a weak trine the planet will still affect the moon to some degree. My moon trines Uranus at a 10-9 degree orb. The description and meaning of Uranus-moon aspect resonates a lot with me and my life. And since the moon is a main and important planet even weak aspects should be taken into some consideration to it. IP: Logged |

For major aspects I usually go upto 10 so I'd consider it, but it wouldn't be as strongly felt as a 1 degree trine. When it comes to orbs certain questions pop up in my mind, can a planet which is strong in the chart have a wider orb ? Can an approaching aspect have a wider orb than a separating aspect ?IP: Logged |

Mine too at 9 degrees (moon trine uranus), although it's not really a major theme but I can be like the description with a small dose of it. I can dismiss it actually but for deep understanding I take it as a consideration. IP: Logged |

the question is, do you feel it?I think aspects to the sun or the moon can be felt up to 12-13 degrees. yes I would consider 9 degrees for a trine if one of the planets is the moon. astro.com system draws a line of trine between my moon and jupiter which are 8-9 degrees apart, and I clearly feel this aspect, actually it's such a in-your-face part of my character! before that I used to use astrotheme's system which didn't draw a trine in my chart between these two. I think astro.com is more correct. IP: Logged |

Yeah thanks you all!! I think maybe, also since it's between Moon and Venus it may be a trine. Maybe weak but makes the Moon not unaspected. Big difference. It's not my chart btw. That's 3 "may be's", that's why I asked. I'd really have to ask the owner about his emotional life. IP: Logged |

Yes Moon trine Venus is, as you say weak but an active aspect with a 9° orb. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions Energy Healing by request IP: Logged |

Interesting responses, I'd never have considered this before. Slight spin on the question, what about if it was Moon trine Ascendant - at 5-6 degrees? I'd say it was a felt aspect, even though it never occurred to me before. Does the Ascendant generate its own energy? Or is it just a 'taking' point like, say, the Nodes? IP: Logged |
