Yes. I do. Since both are about conscious attachment and represent the seat of the soul.
The country of our birth represents the metaphoric place of origin as compared to being born elsewhere. As does our race/social background.
Your Mom's passing could be a manifestation of both the sense of emotional "wipeout" Moon/Neptune represents as well as the change of emotional dynamics domestically that Uranus-Moon suggests.
Both however suggests to me that this feeling of "not belonging" may have been long held even before her passing. The loss of your mother may have intensified it or made it more "true"?
I feel a sense of duty to my country. But i do not feel that my country is my home. My home is anywhere where i can sustain the feeling of inner peace.
So my country is like my child to me. I wish it well and do what I choose to support it. But I do not see the country as an extension of me nor feel like it understands me etc.
I think at the heart of us all is wanting to be accepted and understood. And when your country has laws, wars, famine, poverty, classism and all sorts of chasm that displace/interrupt you from connecting with whom ypu really are. It can make you feel like a stranger in your own birthland.
But feeling a sense of connection has little to do with the country as it does with yourself. When you are centred in you, you will find a "home" anywhere. Its just easier to feel this way about your country when its laws, environment and standing, supports whom you are.
