I have the same Venus and Mars.
If your trying to peruse a relationship those two I think make the most difference and Yes, I'm male.

Believe it or not that combo is actually secretly insure and wants to make sure your the right one.

Well I wanna know how he is in relationships. Is he loyal? Committed for long term relationships? and I wanna know why is he so damn contradictory!

He seems selfless at one point, then selfish the other. He says there are two types of people in this world: selfish people and those too blind to see they are selfish. And keeps saying being selfish is healthy. But he clearly is not selfish based on his actions.

Also, he can be quite mellow, easygoing and flexible. However, if you push the wrong button, oh boy, it's like a completely different man.

If your the right one yes, the answer is yes. Venus in Taurus tends to be a loyal Venus, Sometimes even jealous.

Sun in Gemini male is meant to explore many relationships in this lifetime. His Leo moon wants to be the hero in the fairy tale who makes the princess happy but he will often fail in his attempts (due to inexperience when he is young) and then that Gemini energy will lie to cover these shameful failures.

Venus in Taurus finds beauty in loyalty, and is extremely attracted to loyalty in others. This feeds into the fairy tale for the moon/emotional nature of this man. The Mars/Mercury in Cancer feels/thinks he should be in a traditional loyal partnership (think of Cancer as a 13 year old girl) and when he is feeling his sexual energy (Mars) will probably promise you the moon. If you have seen 2 sides of him, then A) you're doing better than the average person who only sees one, and B) keep looking for the others. He'll notice and appreciate your efforts, as long as he can trust you to... hmmm... appreciate them? Not get in the way of them? Gemini is mutable air (social), so needs to be able to adapt to the situation.

Gem sun Scorpio Asc... 8th house sun? We tend to... differ... on the things we focus on compared to other people. Oh, and Leo moon wants to be idealistic and generous, while 8th house sun forces us to see beneath the outward appearance. Not to worry, Gemini super power is to embrace the paradox. We can take it. Can you?

(Edit) though on reflection, perhaps your guy sounds more 9th house sun to me. I know a Sag who says the same thing about everybody being selfish, then he acts selfishly unselfish... He has Leo moon too...

Gemini is actually secretive, they are almost similar with Scorpio (uncomfortable revealing) but is more open, social, communicative, and more extrovert than a Scorpio.

BUT if the Geminis seem close off, like mine for awhile, he may be broken (still can't move on from something hurt) or he is in tricking people (sneaky, act unpredictable, manipulative, disappearing-reappearing).

Gemini naturally loves an interaction and to communicate.

Are you trying to figure him out? I bet you are not an Air sign, aren't you?

My advice is, if you like Geminis, don't try to figure them out, try to understand but keep your eyes open.

Geminis at worst can trick people. Mine may have close his account but he has so many fake account to socialize with. Mine may look like having small number of friends, it is because he doesn't want me to know ALL of his friends/his interaction with 'others'. Mine may look like an introvert but doesn't mean he can not flirt and try to sweep people off, he's just terribly shy. Mine acts very secretive some time because he has turbulent secret relationship somewhere outside our relationship and try to run from it while at the same time try to find a way.

Gemini can be complicated and contradictory by nature. Add to that defensive Cancer placements and things can get really tangled up

I tried dating a Sun Gem, Moon in Leo,Mercury Cancer,Ven in Cancer ,Mars in Cancer once and he would play so many mind games that i didnt know which way is up anymore and left it all alone.

Gemini often believes themselves smarter than most. So you cannot beat them intellectualy. Add to that the Pluto in 1st/Scorpio Asc, you have the additional layers of Scorpios defenses to deal with.

But Leo Moon is warm and wants to invite people in. Often quite gregarious and receptive to other people-Once the defenses of the Scorpio Asc come down. And that takes time.

The Gemini sun/Leo moon is a warm combo generally. So my suspicion is that he builds walls that he may get stuck inside of and can't get out.

Venus in Taurus is very pleasant in essence and a powerful placement. But its opposition from the Asc by sign is tricky to express consistently

As a lover, he is passionate and warm. But also very fearful in demonstrating those qualities-because he fears hurt more so than most.

The added Moon-Neptune aspect suggests a romantic as does Mars. But the Pluto aspect to the same planets speaks of trepidation.

My advice- Go for the Sun in Gemini. Bring out the playful, childlike qualities that this sign is known for and soothe the Moon in Leo with lots of compliments.

Pluto on the Asc views life/people suspiciously and often puts people off-because of making people who try to get close to them jump through many hoops.

For a combo like that its best that you were friends or knew each other when growing up.
Like we were in the same preschool class, we knew of each other but weren't friends.

That way he already has an idea of who you are and isn't as insecure.

There was a Leo that liked me in my teens, I wasn't quite sure what to think at the time.

Know that were both older we are alot closer from, but not exactly the same thought its a platonic friendship sorta like Penny and Sheldon on the Big Bang Theory.

She's getting married and I'm to busy with other things.

I would tend to agree with your assessment Aries23Degrees.

My Mars in Cancer tends to make me less trusting and I would throw trust tests most of time.

Most people would interpret them as mind games.

For example there was some feisty Aqurian that asked me out. I had absolutely know clue what I was walking into.

But I'm confident that I can find a way out or a way to deal with things if I get into a tricky situation, so I went ahead anyway.

So the first thing I did was I picked her up, pulled over to the nearest gas station.

As I went outside to put gas in my car
I purposely locked all the doors for the exception of one to see if she whould open the driver side door for me once I was finished pumping gas.

Not completely true, I heave to Aquarians or anyone with Aquarius aspects.

Its not that they came up with a better argument its just that they came up with a different or unique approach/solution.

For example when I was younger I was in a competition to find a way to bring an egg to another side of a small water body that was to represent a stream.

Everyone was thinking of building a bridge to span the water body and have some kind of rover that carried the egg across.

I was convinced I would build the best bridge and rover.

There was an Aquarius there and she came up with the idea of making a balloon and carying it across, she was the only one to do that.

I was kicking myself thinking, why didn't I think of that. Its so simple and it worked.

So be like an Aquarian be unique and clever.
