So I have a break from work, and I'm ready to shopshopshop!!!! I seriously don't have the energy for it during a work week. Ready for a hair cut, ready to use that amazon gift card I got from work.
But I slam on the breaks when I notice that Venus is rx!

It's often recommended to watch your spending, and avoid trying new looks.

I've been pretty tired, but ambitious after work. I tried a hair mask one day. With egg yolks and castor oil. I forgot to put on a timer, so I probably had it in too long. Then I showered. Brushed, detangled. Passed out. Sleep on it.
Showering too late at night has been an ongoing issue for me lately. Not letting it air dry properly. Then I wake up and my hair looks more disgusting and greasy then before I took a shower.
So not only did I have that issue the next day. I also smelled egg yolk on my self the whole day even though I showered it out.

I was like is this a venus rx thing? haha

Also what do you think? If it's unfavorable to go shopping during this time, to go forward with new clothes/new look...
What about vintage shopping during this time? Wouldn't you think it would be favorable to buy real retro fashion during Venus retro times?

I've thought about it, and I've decided not to go Vintage shopping, simply because I have too much $h!+.

I have cut down on my clothes shopping a hell-of-a-lot! Last time I went shopping for clothes was in January, and before that my mom took me new job shopping in September.

Sharing a closet with a SO for almost a year now, I have to be considerate of him. My clothes take up more than half the closet, and he gets the crappy side of the closet too.

The reason I have too much clothes is I'm the kind of person who doesn't get rid of clothes until the elastic completely goes, holes, horribly stained. I'm not one of those "this is so last year" people. Some of my clothing items are 11 years old.
I've pretty much maintained my weight since 2013.
Also, no lets me go shopping! People keep giving me their clothes. I'm a hand me down magnet! I'm so complaining/not complaining about getting free clothes. More clothes coming in, no money going out.

I own 16 pairs of shoes. I have more that I didn't take with me at my parents. I wont bring them because there is seriously no room for more.

A lot of my shoes are falling apart too it has to be my job I'm on my feet so much, but have to dress business casual.

I finally got rid of something just because it's not really me. It's a red and white zip up sweater. That says American eagle on it. That my older sister wore in like early 2000's. I'm going to be 27 soon I don't need to be flaunting American Eagle on my clothes. I don't even want to wear it on an off day because I already have a plain red zip up sweater. The way I organize my closet is by length and color. And knowing I can't buy more clothes until I get rid of more...I finally got sick of looking at it as an option.

I read through all this and couldn't help thinking if you have Taurus Asc/Sun/Moon or Mars? That need to hold on to things as you have makes me think of this energy.

The Venus in Aries retrograde is sitting in my 1st house (Whole sign).

Venus much like Neptune, can make things appear a lot more ideal than what they really are.And when in Aries, it makes the new/novelty seem wonderful.

Venus retrograde in 1st is actually a boost of confidence with regards to your looks/appeal. But it can also increase a taste for all things beautiful

I didnt try anything new. But I noticed an increase in spending habits and sex drive. It could be because Venus and Mars are in mutual reception(by sign)?

Wow. It just clicked to me that mutual reception is real. 😕

@Aries It's in my 1st house as well. The confidence is real. I lost 15 lbs during this transit. Also helps that Saturn is squaring my ASC.

As far as shopping goes, I've been finding used things for a bargain. I usually always buy new. It's changing my thinking regarding the way I shop.

Be glad you didn't mess with your hair. Several people I know have made hair regrets this VR

Trying to date during this time is laughable.

My goal is to not go "shopping" for the entire month of April. I've had a shopping addiction for a long time and I'm slowly cutting down. Plus transiting Saturn is in my first house and opposite natal venus and its also my saturn return.

The oddest is thing is I hooked up with this Aries Sun/Venus in February and he still keeps in touch with me. He also has Venus rx natally.

That's interesting! I'm glad I didn't! It seems really superstitious, but I have no regrets. I'll use this time to think of how I want my hair cut. I've always avoided getting haircuts ever since I knew about Venus rx.

I'm hoping this break from work will recharge my batteries. Most of the time I go to work with out make up, or hair styled. Not because it's a personal choice, but I am not a morning person and I have to be to my job on time. Maybe I'll get ambitious in the mornings and leave on time. MAYBE.

I've been putting off doing something with my hair. I almost bought an "outrageous" colour on Saturday evening, when I was out for a while, but didn't - it looked like a gorgeous shade of Auburn, though.

I haven't been to a hair dresser since I was a teenager. They always did what they wanted to do, rather than what I wanted them to do. So I've trimmed it myself, or asked a family member to do it. It needs another trim now.

I've noticed that with hair dressers.

Extreme example: I feel like if I asked for a mullet they wouldn't do it since it's so out of style.
