Hey guys!As luck would have it, after MONTHS (i mean.. months) or job hunting and plummeting to almost 0 again and again, I FINALLY got a job offer here in the Netherlands. The contract was sent to me to review on Friday and I am pleased-ish with the offer, however there are one or two things I really want to negotiate, and nothing will be official or finalised until Weds. So now that we are officially in the Merc Rx, naturally - the time when we are NEVER supposed to sign a contract or negotiate one, etc. - I actually really have to sign now, or basically turn this job down. I can negotiate for today and tomorrow, but it is a time-sensitive offer and not something I can just hang out about until Merc goes direct. Does this mean, then, that everything is going to go haywire once we are direct? If I was offered the job prior to merc rx does that help? I am trying to be very clear and careful about the contract but I'm paranoid because I am new to working in the Netherlands on this kind of thing, and it's definitely not for a job I've done in the past or anything else relatively "retrograde-appropriate." Would love any advice or perspectives. Again, the situation was pretty intense prior to this offer and while it is only a temporary contract (7months) I would really like for it to go well and can't handle any negative pitfalls going forward. My nerves is fried. Thanks all. Happy Monday. IP: Logged |

i dont pay much attention to retrogrades. as far as i can tell each day i feel nearly exactly the same. but i do know the transits effect us. you might be re-enacting the lost man at sea waiting for "god", several boats pass, man says go away, GOD is going to save me. then god says those boats were him so just saying if you pay attention to the little signs, and basing your life off of them instead of going with the flow, you might miss some opportunities well basically i think it shouldnt matter IP: Logged |

hmmm interesting @soren! The only thing that confuses me is that I'm not "waiting" for any signs. Maybe it wasn't clear about the job contract - it's an official offer but I am negotiating one or two things within the contract before I sign (things I kind of have to clarify before I sign like what benefits they are specifically offering me, how the pension plan removes from my monthly gross, that kinda thang). So I'm not waiting, but promptly clearing them up and will be signing the offer before Weds. And as far as waiting for jobs went... pretty much any potential money-making opportunity that went by me in the last few months was something I went for. It just didn't work out very well until now as I job hunted, and now that I have the contract in-hand I'm wondering from those who always say not to sign a contract during a Merc Rx period, what I should expect to happen since I absolutely WILL be signing. oh i thought you were asking if you should sign or not. about the waiting for signs thing, well if you werent gonna sign it, it would be kind of similar. Cause looking for astrological clues to guide you, waiting for the right situations, is similar to the god thing i just described. the guy had a boat pass, he said i think god will save me, so please go on, i know god will come and save me. then another boat passes, until he dies. eta: he was looking for overly specific things until every opportunity that didnt match his mind that he could have advanced with, passed him by. @soren, no I'm not looking for signs. This is really a question for people who always advise NOT to sign any contracts during a merc rx. I definitely respect you do not subscribe to this advice! I will be signing the contract, because the job offer is time-sensitive. I'm not waffling on that decision, more wondering about those who have an opinion about this in reference to Merc rx, and how it can sometimes play out. This isn't really a woo-woo "what are the clues the universe is telling me???" thing. It's more of a woo-woo "How does Mercury rx effect contract-signing as I do it right now?" thing . IP: Logged |

so you are trying to find out how it will possibly effect your future. how the situation will unfold, whether it will be rough from some current decisions or not. ☮ (peace out) IP: Logged |

Correct! and thank you! So, for those of you who are merc rx "pros" and think this over, what is your take? Especially if you have experienced the potential frustrations of merc when retrograde. This is a question for those of you who DO read up and analyse merc rx, astrology, etc, and have been in my shoes with signing a contract within that period. Spanx! IP: Logged |
