No, Cancer is not weak. They are strong emotionally but may appear weak because it is a feminine sign.Try hurt one, you'll see how strong they are. Pisces I believe is considered weak. (Not trying to say it like a bad thing, but due to how Pisces tend to absorb anything, yes, they can be lost) IP: Logged |

Yes, they're frequently underestimated. This comes from thinking with shallow stereotypes (as happens with many signs, and if I hadn't read more in depth books of astrology that seem all too rare these days I'd have dismissed astrology based on this inclination of lazy thinking and shallow stereotypes by many into astrology), and since Cancer is supposed to be about family and mother, they think of it as nurturing, and therefore weak, because feminine is weak, and only a wimp would care about mother. That Cancer almost never goes around beating their chest and constantly establishing dominance also makes people underestimate them. I see them as more of the knights, very loyal and protective and in their shells/armor. Hurt their families and loved ones (and sometimes also nations, churches, or other "extended family groups") and they can make Scorpio look meek. That goes for the women as well as the men. While I can't recall how this was determined, I believe it was found that most people in prison for crimes of passion were Cancer sun and/or moon. I don't point that out to say they're strong, but rather that it goes against the idea of Cancers sobbing in a corner or hiding behind their mother's skirts when life gets hard. (ETA: found a bit more here on that.) Of course, other placements matter, there are positive and negative manifestations that life experience can make a difference in, and so on. IP: Logged |

Cancer's power is in relationships. It has tensile loyalty and tensile protection for those she loves. This is it's own power!------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I think there greatest strength is there dedication and devotion to family. Both my parents are Cancers, if worst came to worst I have no doubt when I was growing up they would rob a liquor store to feed me and my sister. I practice most of the same devotion to family thanks to them. The only problem is they can also be narrowed minded and controlling as well. They assume that by being more controlling there being more caring rather then giving the child more independence, learning and figuring how to handle things on there own. They can also be emotional manipulative. quote: Originally posted by hearttreasure: .... Pisces I believe is considered weak. I find Pisces/Aries mixes or Pisces/Aquarius mixes to be a good balance of strength or intelligence, neither being particularly week. But I guess without those placements maybe thats why you see Capricorn and Pisces orLeo and Pisces parings. The Pisces dare not challenge the Lion or the Goat. ==================================== Gemini Sun, Capricorn Rising Aries Moon Gemini Mercury Venus Taurus Mars Cancer IP: Logged |

Cancers are anything but weak.My grandmother from my mom's side was a Cancer. She was one of the strongest people I knew. When she was battling cancer, not even the cancer kept her from doing her job. If anything, she was determined to recover from it and go back to her usual life. I was surprised to hear she could teach in her condition. My brother is a Cancer. If I had to nominate a family member for "most likely to commit a crime," he'd be the one to get the award. He's actually physically strong. The only thing in his way is his temper, not really anyone else. I haven't personally gotten to know him very well. Regardless, I've heard that he had straight A's in college, and when he was living at home, I've hear him mostly talking to his friends on voice chat. I have no idea how he had free time with 5 courses and a part-time job. I'm jealous honestly. Last example, because I know way too many Cancers and I don't think anyone wants me to list them all. Anyway, my aunt from my mom's side of the family is really strong. It's not so much in a physical way with her. It's more like she's just emotionally very stable and able to handle mostly anything. She isn't bothered by things easily. Her self-esteem is strong and intact. After her divorce, she never remarried and she seems completely content with how things are now. I would say that her family is the center of her world. Hopefully, I've demonstrated my point. I think Cancers are over-represented in my life. Must be my South Node in Cancer. I even have some Cancer friends and a Cancer ex. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure whether you mean physical strength or strength of character such as emotional stability (which cancers aren't famous for) cancers are soft, fluffy and harmless by nature, unless they start falling off the other end and turn into psychos as those mentioned above (as history has it) IP: Logged |

I dont know if including G.W Bush in there is a good thing The power of cancer is probably underestimated yes in both genders but I see your point about it been underestimated more for guys. Cancer rules the home and the past and guys are not expected to be domestic or in touch with their emotions but there is something really powerful about a guy who can cook, clean and be a good father which comes naturally to guys that have sun or moon in cancer and a guy in touch with his emotions, all these things imo are very attractive traits in a guy and there are definitely women out there drawn to this that appreciate this and see a lot of value and power in this. You just explained Mike Tyson after loosing Cus D'Amato, the man that took him under his wing and Kevin Rooney, the man that helped train him. I'm not to sure what to make of the "Fluffy" part you mentioned, lol. Definitely family oriented thought I trained my niece, also gem sum to poke my Dads stomach he giggles just like the Pillsbury doe boy for her. ==================================== Gemini Sun, Capricorn Rising Aries Moon Gemini Mercury Venus Taurus Mars Cancer IP: Logged |

My boyfriend is a Cancer Sun, Mercury. He is very sensitive underneath his hard shell. He's very shy and cautious, but once he trusts you enough to get close, he'll loosen up a little. What I'm learning is you have to make the first move with Cancer men (I can't speak for the women). My boyfriend is very muscular, unemotional (on the outside), and very protective. I love him to pieces. He is anything BUT weak. Just in tune with his feminine side moreso than the average male in today's society. IP: Logged |

Absolutely agree that Cancers are underestimated for their power. My mom is not like a martyr. The pants in the family. I used to think my dad was the one who had the most say when I was a kid, but later I learned my mom was the one behind everything. She literally made my dad look like the bad guy while being sweet to me and my siblings, so it's pretty true how manipulative Cancers can be. She was the sweetest mother until situations came along. She can hold quite a grudge. She owns a shop also and runs it by herself. Goes home and cooks and cleans. She's constantly on the move until she has to sleep to recharge. There's no one more important to her than family. She always said that family is the only people you can truly rely on(though at times your own blood can betray you too), and everyone else's business doesn't matter unless family is involved.A male Cancer I know is far from weak(maybe on the surface). He has the presence of a manly man. People's first impression of him is that he is absolutely unapproachable. But for me I get very curious about unapproachable people and approached and got to know him and found out he's a family oriented person and a total momma's boy. Always talks to her on the phone when off work. He's pretty much a workaholic like my mom (wonder if she has Virgo moon like he does). He plans to open a family business somewhere. He's mostly quiet towards people until he's comfortable with them. And if you hurt him he takes it very personally, especially if you didn't realize you hurt him. He either stays quiet around you or try to do it back to you. There were so many times I didn't realize I hurt him. Out of nowhere he would be mean to me and I wonder why he was like that towards me all of a sudden. then it dawns on me that I didn't realize I did something hurtful to him a month ago. It's been a couple months since we talked, mainly because I want him to contact me first (I'm always the one who texts first. A couple times he texts me only when he needs something) but if it is true that some cancers don't make the first move I guess I don't have to wonder anymore. IP: Logged |

Yes. The combination gives a good balance, but although you have one Pisces placement in your natal chart, you still have a tendency to absorb anything and if not careful can be lost in a dreamy world, or in other people shoes, or in whatever their eyes and heart see and unconsciously dive in to deep water trying to understand. It is important Pisces placement surrounded by good environment or people, if not they can be lost in a bad behaviors. I have venus in pisces and I can say this energy can be considered as weak in regards to the ability to absorb and understand every sides. A good hearted Pisces is too fragile to the world. That is why some fall to bad behaviors like addiction. IP: Logged |

Omg this is so true about Cancer men! I find men with Mars in water signs to be very masculine in a calm, confident way.
