Topic: Jupiter transit 7th - What happens?

I would have guessed that this transit might bring favorable tidings with regards to relationships, especially for a native with Sun in the 7th. So far, for me it looks more like a Search-and-Destroy mission - a grand housecleaning with numerous heavy trips to the dumpster. What's going on? Is what I have described above preparation for a surprise bomb when Jupiter hits my Sun? Curious to learn about your experience. IP: Logged |

GrandFireT, it is quite possible that like many others the natal chart you are using is simply not accurate. If the Asc is not correctly set in the right sign and at the right degree, then transits won't line up properly according to houses and what we expect from their meanings. This is far more common than you would think, even with those whose birth charts are set by a specific time taken from a certified birth document.If that is not the case, it is most likely that you have other longer-term transits that are setting the tone, such as strong transits from Pluto/Saturn. Many people are getting transits from those now in declination. They sit at 21-22° South (-) and make a contra-parallel transit to any planets sitting at that area North (+) of the celestial equator. Jupiter is the 'greater benefic' but it also means expanse of growth that often equates to freedom in practical reality, especially when in transit to the Sun (bigger, better in store). That does not sound like what is going on. The clearing/dumping action is most likely the work of Saturn, Uranus, or Pluto, or a combination of them. There is no promise or guarantee with any single astrological factor -- either in the birth chart, or especially in transits. ------------------

Jupiter could be transiting your 6th house instead, but maybe that just seems to be the case to me because what you're describing sounds like a bunch of work. It just seems like you're dealing with housework and chores, which is more of a 6th house thing.I'm not sure what was going on last time Jupiter went through my 7th house. Sometimes a new relationship can happen around this time, but I actually started a new relationship when Jupiter was transiting my 8th house instead. In my boyfriend's chart, on the other hand, Jupiter was going through his 7th house at the time our relationship formed. Transit Jupiter may have been within orb for a conjunction to his natal Venus too. He has Venus in 7th house. IP: Logged |

I decided that I wasn't going to find a decent man, since only cheaters kept hitting on me. That was Jupiter in the 7th, opposed Saturn conjunct my ascendant from the 12th. IP: Logged |

I'm experiencing this transit now. Similar to what Kannon mentioned, I think more dominant transits run the show. You gotta piece it all together. But close relationships seem to be a big theme. Serving others, understanding others, etc. Life in general doesn't seem to be about me right now. IP: Logged |
