What in someone's chart would cause them to attract Saturn-heavy people? (Other than Cap descendant, Saturn in the 7th, or ruler of 7th in Cap)

I've recently just played around with my charts list on astro.com and I've noticed a trend. I tend to attract Saturnian people, both friends/lovers. I barely have Saturn influences in my chart.

Btw, I used the color horoscopes part of astro.com to determine this. Many of my friends and guys I've been attracted to have Saturn as dominant planet (or second). Saturn does not even show to be prominent in my color horoscope either.

------------------
Gemini Rising
Sun in Leo (2nd house)
Moon in Cancer (1st house)
Mercury in Virgo (3rd house conj.)
Venus in Virgo (3rd house)
Mars in Libra (5th house)

I have cancer venus and mars, and I'm attracted to capricorn moons, mars and venus like crazy

my long time friends, and some guy I was with for the longest time all have saturn in the 1st, all the other exes have either a cap moon or AC

I have moon trine AC and saturn conjunct DC too though, also an east point in cancer, so all of these attract me to saturn types, not to mention my north node in capricorn

your cancer moon in the 1st I think is why

Maybe an Earth void in their chart, would attract them to someone Saturnian.

Look if your Dsc ruler Jupiter is in hard aspect with Saturn.

Needing a father figure could be one.

How does that work? So if a sign has two rulers, the night ones get the traditional rulers? Interesting.

Hmm, I'm not an earth void. It's actually my second dominant element. I wonder if having Virgo placements can attract Saturnian types as well? It could be, right?

@girlwiththerainysoul

I think that's one of them, too. But I also agree with SecretGreek. Needing a father figure in general could add to this.

For most of my life, I've wanted some structure and discipline because it's what I struggle with the most. My dad was in and out of my life, so that does makes sense.

@HelixID

My Jupiter in Aquarius is sextile my Saturn in Aries. It's not a hard aspect, but it should still count, right? Jupiter is my 7th house ruler after all.

I have the same as you on at least these three items:

Gemini Rising
Sun in Leo (2nd house)
Jupiter in Aquarius

I am strong in Saturn so I can prolly relate to you fairly well. When I was young and I did something wrong, the punishment was waiting for my father to get home. When he got home, he rarely disciplined me, possibly because he could see my fear. His presence made our household run smoothly, efficiently, and now I behave similarly.

That's amazing I don't think I've met anyone yet with almost the same placements as me here on LL.

I think somehow, my situation is a bit more different than yours. Growing up, my dad worked abroad leaving my mom to care for me and my siblings alone. It was a struggle for her, juggling work and family, but she did it. The only downside to that was there was not much structure in our home as I would have liked. Back in my teens, I did use to criticize my mom for letting us do pretty much what we want. When she doesn't, I rebelled and did it anyway. When my dad came back once in a while, structure was restored but only for a brief moment.

I wonder if your Saturn aspects your Sun? Mine doesn't. I only have pretty much Uranus and Jupiter opposing my Sun and a trine from Pluto (this reeks of recklessness haha).

My bf also has pretty much almost the same placements as me but he has more self-control. He's a Leo too with Uranus opposing Sun. He has Saturn trine Sun though. Besides the Cap moon, I think a Saturn-Sun aspect would make someone more structured. I wonder if this is the same in your case.

What is it about needing a father figure that attracts people who want to be that? I kind of get it- but it happens alllll the time to me- I also have Saturn in 7th- but I don't act needy or anything i am quite aloof- but it is like some guys just "know"?

SLQ: The main thing about my Saturn is it is conjunct Jupiter. It happens about every 20 years or so. The conjunction occurs in the 8th. Additionally, my Saturn is domicile just like my Sun. However, my Sun is not opposite my Saturn but it is opposite Mercury and square Neptune. Importantly, my Jupiter is opposite my Sun.

The dynamic can show up in intimate relationships. I don't care to discuss here, so use your imagination. From the viewpoint of the father figure, I don't have a daughter and no one, absolutely no one, messes with my little girlfriend. LOL

IMO it works similar to a magnet, which the OP cleverly placed in the thread title.

I attract them like flys, it's good in a sense that things relation wise stay around for a moment, months to years rather than a one night adventure. Not so good in a sense that they mean hard work and putting up with obstacles, delays , feel heavy vs lighthearted fun etc. I think it is because I have a Cancer sun that I drawl them?

If you smell like money and success

No really, I just tend to pay more attention to folk that look well to do and orderly... And unusual, but that is because I cater to an outer planet Cap stellium in 1st

I totally agree with you. A Saturnian could easily just leave but they don't. They stick with you through the good and the bad. I like their perseverance. For me, I think it's the Virgo in me that they tickle a lot

LOL that IS one of the things I'm very attracted to with Saturnians. I like my men to have money, not because I want it for me, but because I love people who are responsible.

That's really interesting. I don't have that natally but my bf's Saturn squares my Moon. Another guy I used to like has his Saturn square my Moon too. My Moon receives no harsh aspects, so I think Saturn just sort of "energizes" it?

To answer your question, I have Chiron in Libra and Virgo NN.
