Hands down, the violin is my favorite instrument. IMO, a violin has a string connected to the heart adjacent to the soul. It is located between the conscience (in the human spirit) and the soul. Similar to King David's harp.

I have a 5H Sag stellium (Jupiter is in Scorpio). I love a lot of classical composers, particularly Liszt and Chopin, though I love many types of music.

I'm especially fond of both the piano and violin...and the first time I heard an electric violin (before I was even a teenager) brought tears to my eyes, and I'd listen to the violin over and over more than the actual modern song stuck to it (this was on a cassette tape).

I have Jupiter in the 6th in Virgo, but I don't listen to classical music much. However, I do want to listen to it more and become more familiar with composers from that era because I am a music junkie at heart. I did play the violin for years in my younger years and played classical music then, but I'm sure that's not really related in the astrological sense since many have played classical instruments in their youth.

For your Beautiful Soul, P.J., with Love.

Similar to King David's harp.

A few years (or more) ago, at the start of December one year, I happened to go to a Music shop. They sold many kinds of musical instruments there, including lesson studios.

I saw the rack of stringed instruments.
Went to a violin.
A floor assistant gave me a mini-lesson on how to properly hold one, and the bow, and how you draw the horse-hairs across... like bridging and stroking the gut hairs on the instrument itself.
He became busy, and left.
I went deeper into one of the practice rooms.
Held the Pose--- as though I had done this in a past-lifetime before.
And I 'beheld' the sound that filled my senses there... with only One Note.
It evoked a kind of 'state' in me, that was quite transcendental.
Connected All Time....

Music... The Bridge. The Bridge. Sound.

Great thread! I have Jupiter in Virgo in the 7th, and love strings and piano classical music (and modern classics in the style eg Ludovico Einaudi) but I go through spells of liking it as I prefer lyrical pieces (here's looking at you, Gemini Venus lol)

My Jupiter is trine my sun and semi-sextile my moon.

One of my friends who listens to a lot of classical stuff to help him focus at work has Sag rising, conjunct Jupiter in Sag in the first. He also has Venus and Mars conjunct in Virgo, so a strong example.

What made you connect Jupiter, Virgo etc with classical music, out of interest?

the 6th house is your daily routine, and I've noticed that people who need to get a daily dose of music and art often have jupiter connected to the 6th ruler..also the 6th is where you become extra focused on, hence the composing talent

also, jupiter/sag/9th house is the divine knowledge..famous classical composers often have a prominent jupiter/sag/9th in their chart, like some of my favorites, Rachmaninoff (vertex in sag, jupiter in 1st), Bach (6th ruler opposite jupiter, mars chart ruler in sag), Glinka (6th ruler square jupiter, also jupiter in 6th), Bizet (6th ruler trine jupiter, also jupiter loosely conjunct AC), Bartok (NN in Sag, also moon in 9th), Debussy (6th ruler conjunct jupiter, NN in sag), chopin, although I'm not his biggest fan (6th ruler quintile saturn in sag)

yep a great example!

my piano teacher was a leo AC with saturn (6th ruler) conjunct jupiter (in virgo), and his sun (chart ruler) in virgo was square neptune in sag...sag vertex also
