had a quick thought that I would like a some feedback on. based on basics of Venus = the type of woman(look, energies, psychical body types) a man will like/is attracted toexample: Venus in Gemini man is more likely to be attracted to athletic, tomboy, square torso, short women, etc... it's blanket description that doesn't always fit everyone with Gemini Venus. well i was wondering if the planets aspecting Venus have an effect on that. pretty much throwing a wrench in the works. example: Gemini Venus trine Jupiter. does some of the Jupiter energies change the Venus. like instead of short girls he likes tall girls or instead of athletic/square boxy torso he's more attracted to curvy/fuller figure women etc. or what about Uranus aspecting Venus, does Uranus turn those basic descriptions on it's head out of no where. example: Gemini Venus dates women who fit the basic description but then ends up dating(even marrying a woman) completely opposite to those he has dated before. could any of this have any meaning or do those little "What's your type based on your Venus" not accurate at all.. Do you have any aspects from other planets to your venus? IP: Logged |

Yes. Conjunct AC. Connections to Juno, Pallas, MC, Chiron, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Uranus, Pluto, and Moon Nodes. The connections consist of at least a sextile, square, trine, biquintile, quintile, and/or quincunx. IP: Logged |

A Gemini Venus man I know (Cancer Sun/Taurus Moon) prefers tall, slender women...maybe not necessarily curve-less (he appreciates a well-balanced figure) but certainly not short. He definitely likes women who appears a little innocent or nerdy even (glasses turn him on!). He also seems to like women with soft, pretty, delicate faces. Natural makeup. "Hard" women turn him off. Overweight women also turn him off. He LUSTS after women with larger chests or bottoms, but his dating history has been almost exclusively with slender women. He also has an affinity for darker haired women, but seems to have no real preference when it comes down to actually dating someone (blondes make the cut!).I think in general though, she MUST be intelligent. I think what they say about "intelligence first, looks second" is true for him. His Venus is aspected in order of closest to furthest orb: opp. Neptune trine Pluto trine Mars trine Jupiter ETA: My brother is also a Cancer Sun, Gemini Venus...but with a Virgo Moon. He prefers STICK THIN women. His last girlfriend had 0 curves and was extremely tomboy-ish. If that doesn't scream Gemini/Virgo I don't know what does! IP: Logged |

@margym0o Your brother differently showing his gemini venus and virgo moon with his typeThe other gemini venus male you know, i wonder if his venus is picking up that trine Jupiter energy and that leads to his attraction to tall women. And if venus opp. Neptune is behind his liking women with more soft, pretty, delicate faces. IP: Logged |

My best guy friend is a Sun/Moon/Mars in Cancer [moon opp Nept] and Gem Venus opp Uran fella. He likes EYES. Soulful eyes and a curvy figure. Despite his first ever gf being stick-thin, his wife is short and somewhat overweight. Cuz in the end, t*ts and EYES made the difference.IP: Logged |

My boyfriend has Venus in Leo. All I know about this Venus placement for a man is it seems to indicate needing to date an attractive woman. He has told me that he won't date a woman he's not attracted to.Honestly, ever since my dad commented on my ex's looks, saying he was good looking, I was embarrassed when I couldn't agree. So, I can see the need for dating someone good looking, especially since I'm a Venus in Taurus. Granted, I don't know what general body type my boyfriend is into. He doesn't seem to mind curves or small breasts. Surprisingly, he doesn't seem that picky with a woman's body. He just cares about whether someone's weight could have a bad effect on her health later on. Personality is where he really seems to put his foot down. His woman has to be a specific way at all times. IP: Logged |

Interesting idea, I'll need to do some digging I think. As a starter tho, if, say, someone had Venus in Virgo, conjunct mars. Would the Mars flavour the desire for women with flat stomachs to preferring toned stomachs that have been worked for (mars)? Also, do you see this working in reverse? If so, would you go from the woman's Jupiter placement and aspects, or Mars? IP: Logged |

I know a man with a cancer venus in the 6th house. Always wanted to be the "provider" while his partner would stay at home with his children, cook for him, ext. He also loves smart women (if not smarter than him), and likes thin women.( He in fact, is married to women like this. They have an amazing relationship.)My father also had a libra venus in the 6th house. Loved beautiful women. Also, seemed to attract women who were richer/smarter than him. I am a female. Would I use my mars to see men I am generally attracted to? I also like women, so would I use my own venus? Nice Post!

I have Venus in Scorpio conjunct Saturn. So it does add a grounded/mature way of looking at things.I have also met other Saturn-Venus hard aspect types who share a similar outlook. I am attracted to nice, calm folks. Can't say that is Cap though. As would be indicative of Saturn/Venus descriptions. I am drawn to thinking types a lot. I like people who articulate themselves well. Getting a broader understanding of love will help answer your questions. The Greeks had different words to describe "love". As far as Venus is concerned, I agree with your observations. The Greek word Philia generally describes our preferences or "likes" towards something or someone. This can be a healthy or unhealthy attraction. You'll see this word as a suffix in terms like homophily (love of the same) or pedophilia. The house placements, sign, and aspects to Venus may indeed give insight into a persons preferences. Philia is often described as a brotherly love built between people with shared values (Venus). If someone's physical appearance resonates with those you value, naturally, we are attracted to that. Here are other words or "concepts" of "love" that I associate with the other planets: 1. Eros: Love of the body (Martian Love: Mars) Eros was the Greek God of love and sexual desire. He was shooting golden arrows into the hearts of both mortals and immortals without warning. The Greeks feared that kind of love the most because it was dangerous and could get them into the most trouble. Eros is defined as divine beauty or lust. Eros is mainly based on sexual attraction and it is where the term “erotica” came from. 2. Ludus: Playful love (Sun) Ludus is the flirtatious and teasing kind of love, the love mostly accompanied by dancing or laughter. It’s the child-like and fun kind of love. If you think about it; this generation loves Ludus more than anything else. 3. Pragma: Longstanding love (Saturn) The everlasting love between a married couple which develops over a long period of time. Pragma was the highest form of love; the true commitment that comes from understanding, compromise and tolerance. It is pragmatic this is why it is referred to as “standing in love” rather than “falling in love” because it grows over time and requires profound understanding between lovers who have been together for many years. 4. Agape: Love of the soul (Neptune) It is the selfless kind of love, the love for humanity. It is the closest to unconditional love. The love you give without expecting anything in return reflected in all charitable acts. It is the compassionate love that makes us sympathize with, help and connect to people we don’t know. The world needs more Agape. 5. Storge: Love of the child (Moon) This is the love parents naturally feel for their children. It’s based on natural feelings and effortless love. Storge is the love that knows forgiveness, acceptance and sacrifice. It is the one that makes you feel secure, comfortable and safe. 6. Mania (Pluto) Mania refers to obsessive love where the person is jealous or obsessive. Manic lovers view their partners as possessions and feel that they “need” them. These feelings can result into doing things such as stalking or other behavior to try to reciprocate their obsessive love. Have you ever felt this type of love or has someone else made you feel as if you were the cause of their “mania”? http://thoughtcatalog.com/ann-eshaw/2015/07/6-types-of-love-that-might-he lp-you-understand-it-better/
http://thoughtcatalog.com/rania-naim/2 016/02/the-7-kinds-of-love-and-how-they-can-help-you-define-yours-according-to-the-ancient-greeks/ These aren't the best descriptions nor is this a comprehensive list, but it's a good intro. =) Plus, these energies interact in a way that may predispose individuals to value these types of love in a particular order. In other theories, love or like exist in primary and blended form. I think it's called the color wheel of love. Mania is a blend of Eros and Ludus, but it sounds more like a Venus/Pluto thing. Perhaps a Saturn/Venus dominant person values pragmatic love over the Neptunian preference for sacrifice. IP: Logged |

back after three days of storms and happy to see so many replies and examples. lots of researching on this@Astrofaye and @Stellia i definitely think it can work for women using our mars. I'm working on mine seeing what aspects to my mars change up the basic list of attraction triggers for my Taurus mars. and @astrofaye I would use your venus if it applied to same sex(WLW) attraction. that's what i'm thinking. i know other things are in play but even attraction has a blueprint or building blocks to work from. not everyone fits in those list when you look at a person dating history. not every cancer venus likes a busty woman or there are some gemini venus out there that are attracted to full figured women. so i wondered if aspect to other planets where at play( haven't got to working Venus house placement and aspecting planet sign and house yet but i know that adds something) @Choc mentioned a friend who has a Gemini Venus opposite Uranus and his first girlfriend was stick thin but the woman he married was curvy/full figure without looking at their synastry and just thinking about attraction and your Type I think that Venus opposite Uranus can lead to a change in "YOUR TYPE" IP: Logged |

i think they can be. on most of those whats your type based on venus list, Gemini is also said to like a person not for just for their looks. there could be something to it.
