The Transits I'm Going Through Right Now:
-Transit Saturn opposite Moon - orb of 1 degree
-Transit Chiron square Moon - orb of 1 degree
-Transit Chiron trine Ascendant - orb of 1 degree

I'm not sure that I'm in pain because of these transits. It is quite likely that my pain could continue after these transits are long over, but I want to know if things improved for anyone after one or both of these transits ended.

Honestly, I think I'm just looking for anything and everything that might indicate improvement later down the road. I've done the typical waiting period, the venting, the Googling, etc. This said, I'm not sure anyone can help with my issue so I don't know if it'd help to talk about what I'm struggling with right now. Still, in case anyone is interested, I have provided an explanation of my problem.

----

To be honest, I've just been struggling with a severe case of writer's block for the last 4 years - going on 5 now. Nothing seems to relieve it and I do mean nothing. That's why I'm hoping that maybe there will be relief at some point. On the other hand, I do want to point out that I've gotten professional help to eliminate any known cognitive issues and that did help up until the past two months. My ability to write has been seemingly destroyed, except for the occasional forum post or blog update.

I'm hoping that the trouble has started up again as a result of Chiron squaring my Gemini Moon right now. Unfortunately, based on what responses I get, I may decide that astrology can't provide any relief nor can it suggest that the problem will eventually pass.

Writing is my passion though and I feel like I'm being forced to give it up for the rest of my life simply because of this unusual case of writer's block.

Uranus Retrograde back on my Mercury would be nice right now since I'm starting to seriously believe that a transit was the reason for my last dose of inspiration, which I ignored to finish an essay in one of my college courses. Ironically, a Creative Writing course didn't help me write creatively during that time. I had to write about someone else's fiction instead of writing my own so naturally I feel bitter, especially now that I'm afraid of never being able to write again.

And the problem is that I'm 24. If I was like 60 and I developed writer's block, I'd relax, but I'm young and I can't properly enjoy it. I hate that.

----

Anyway, what do you guys think? Is anything likely to improve after these transits end?

And if you've experienced one of these transits in the past, did anything improve after the transit was over?

Ouch! Chiron square Moon was tough for me. Neptune was involved, as well as their aspecting Venus, Mars, Nodes, etc.

I did feel better once they'd moved off my Moon, but then the cardinal planets (Uranus square Pluto, and Saturn hitting things, too), happened - they hit all of my Aries, and cardinal T-square. You said over the past five years, and that's when they hit, which would include your Aries Mercury, I think. I had Saturn opposed Mercury during some of those really rough times.

I sure hope so bc I have transit saturn and transit chiron activating my tsquare between my Sun opposite moon with Neptune at the apex, not my favorite year!

Sun in Virgo at 28d
Neptune in Sag at 26d
Moon in Pisces at 20d
Mercury in Virgo at 17d

....and saturn and chiron going direct and retro this whole year hitting all that on and off, very painful transit.

I feel you. I understand what you are going through. Are there any "good" transits about to happen in your chart? Something to look forward to thats not so negative.

I can relate cause I have at the moment:
Saturn square moon
Saturn square Mercury
Saturn square ascendant
Saturn conjunct MC
Chiron conjunct the ascendant exact
Chiron square Mercury
Chiron square moon

It's been real. Last night I got into a huge fight with my boss and he gave me the boot. Granted, I think its for the best because I really do hate him, I want to ID Channel him. But unemployement sucks!

I'll have Saturn hitting all of my cardinal again, when it moves into Capricorn. It's actually freaking me out a bit, so I try not to think about it. That and Pluto = something I don't want to deal with.

Lerena,

You're going through a lot more transits than that the last 4 years. But no writer's block can be attributed solely to astrological influence. If you had the talent in the first place, and I assume you did, then it is still there.

First, with your birth chart having Saturn square and contra-parallel Sun, there will be a tendency to be negative about some ideas you do have that you may refuse to write or that you scratch out before they get going well enough. In other words, judging before doing.

If you're feeling a bit dry creatively, give yourself an assignment of going to a new place and watching people, writing character sketches or something like that.

What mastering craft requires is about 10,000 hours doing it. So better to start now -- just write and keep writing. It doesn't matter if 90% of it is sub-par. Learn from it.

For the last few years Pluto has been conjunct your natal Uranus and Neptune, which is a transformation of ideals and conceptualization. Let yourself get a bit crazy with what comes in out of left field and write it down anyway, no matter how kooky it seems. Pluto is also parallel your natal Neptune. That can be a great deepener of creativity IF you carry it along actively as your personal spiritual transformation happens with no limits on what is good/not good to write.

In the last year or so Saturn has been parallel your natal Neptune. This is a transit in which logic, standards, etc, tend to squash imagination -- IF you let it. There is nothing about this transit that demands writer's block or that blocks imagination entirely. You may be more challenged creatively and have to work harder at it, but it can be done.

Right now Pluto is approaching exact square to your natal Mercury. This will be a time in which you dig deep for the next few years and really transform your writing, allowing it to become more determined, passionate, and changed from past efforts.

In August Jupiter will be opposite your natal Mercury for a while. It would be good to have a running start. In fact, Jupiter just passed a contra-parallel with your natal Mercury. What did you do in March and April?

I take William Stafford's advice and write a poem every day. I simply do not experience writer's block, and believe it to be a fiction. Nothing is standing between me with pen in hand and a blank page. I write every day. 90% of it might be crap, but I do it, and lower my standards for those days when it s not so great.

Look into what's going on in your head and see how you are blocking yourself with your thoughts or expectations. No one else is.

If you're thinking you've had no big ideas or rapturous feelings of inspiration, forget it. 90% of writing starts with none of those, including great works. They're 90% writing, rewriting, and more revision.
