Was curious if anyone could tell me the Moons significance in my chart, esoterically, exoterically. I was told years ago how the moon is like a tractor either bringing the planets up -aka good, or putting them under aka bad. I know the moon as importance for me. So anyone can take a quick peek and help with any keywords etc? Aries Moon 11th... in lots of aspects with planets in the 5th and 6. My most aspected planet.

Interpretation: “Study the Singleton Planet—indicates the nature of soul purpose—an important direction, which should be developed according to the planet, the house, and the sign.”
Additional Information: Be sure to mark your Singleton Planet if you are a Bucket Type.

I believe the handle planet becomes the focal point of your chart energy. Almost like channelling through it.

I have Rx Jupiter handle in 12th House, I feel like I have the expansion of my subconscious vs contraction of my energy battle all the time. Alot of my choices in life reflect this battle.

Wow. What a big 5th house. Transits to this house must take ages to complete😨

Its interesting that Moon is in Aries. Aries are very self-focused people. And in the Moon position, one can be focused entirely on ones impulses/feelings and hunches.Always acting on them etc.

The Moon being in the 11th house would suggest friends/associates and external contacts as very important.

It could be that one may consider these people as family and be very protective of them. Or one may feel strong kinship and rapport with them more than blood relations.

Moon in 11th may have grown up in a communal setting or a neighbourhood where everyone was close to everyone else. So this may result in them being more emotionally open and/or flexible.

But there is a contradiction betwen the Moons energy(Aries) and the more impersonal nature of the 11th.

It could be that in these relations you find yourself having to find a balance between yourself(Aries) and others(11th). Especially since we see that Pluto opposes the 11th from the 5th house in relationship focused Libra.

Infact the stellium in Libra in 4th/ 5th with powerful Venus in Libra as the final dispositor of a majority of your planets(including the Asc, Moon and Sun) ,suggests that your life feels very much like one big balancing act.

On one hand wanting to branch out on your own and do your own thing(Aries) vs banding together with others(Libra).

So you may accept one identity and project the other i.e Associate yourself with rebels and become the peacemaker therein.

Or you could try and merge the seemingly opposing worlds by attempting to do all.

The Moon may lead you upwards and outwards. Charging you on to action. But there will still be deep dissatisfaction that your life is not more static, connected and regulated.

Your chart is very similar to mine(mibe also has the Moon as the proverbial "handle") and what i have noticed in mine, is a heightened focus on the Moon position on the 3rd/4th house cusp.

I am however not entirely certain if your Moon in Aries is powerful because it answers to Venus in Libra in the 5th.

So its energy is split between self and others. Mostly wanting to please others i assume(especially with Pluto conjunct) and Jupiter conjunct Saturn in exalted Libra position.

But mine is in Cancer and answers to nobody. So i find myself in a lot of introspective modes(3rd cusp) and looking at myself intellectually.

Add to that the need to move around and find true sense of home(4th).

Most of my other planets are in the 7th and 9th. But i am NOT many times with others at all. But by myself. In my own head-thinking.

Hi. Thanks.
You wrote -
-The Moon being in the 11th house would suggest friends/associates and external contacts as very important-

No. Im a loner. Only a few people I know. I'd rather be alone. And sometimes find myself hating other people and external conflicts. My ideal day would be to walk on a beach with not one person around me, fogging me up with their thoughts etc etc.

You wrote - On one hand wanting to branch out on your own and do your own thing(Aries) vs banding together with others(Libra).

That makes total sense.

You wrote - I am however not entirely certain if your Moon in Aries is powerful because it answers to Venus in Libra in the 5th.

Why? How does it answer to Venus? I know Venus Moon are in opposition in my chart. Learning.

You wrote:

This I can relate 2. It's like the Moon is always changing, and internally I feel emotionally, its always changing, waxing, waning, waxing, waning. Where the outside no one would even know the emotional inferno moving inside.

You wrote:

I feel internally this is indicative esoterically about my feeling split between my soul, and personality.

Thanks again. Its late here on the West Coast, so Im sure I will re read later, and gleam more insights. But thanks much.

First, your chart does not show a bucket pattern, but a fan pattern. A bucket pattern requires an opposition through the center of the chart cross-ways to the handle planet for a bucket structure. There is no such opposition. What you've got is a narrower cluster of planets opposite the handle -- a fan.

Some astrologers say that rather than the fan's handle planet acting as an outlet as with the bucket pattern, it acts in the opposite fashion. I won't conjecture over hypotheticals.

You can be the judge. Do circumstances and stimulations get funneled into and change your emotions? Or do you drive your own energies from within based on your personal feelings?

In either case, the Moon does have importance in your chart this way. It is over-specifying a bit to say that it is an indication of "soul purpose" as such patterns do not even look at what planets are in closer aspect with the Asc, rising, near MC, etc. Such chart patterns are general and do not give specific interpretations. Also, the relation between the various energies in anyone's chart is always reciprocal.

I take note of chart patterns but don't give them much interpretive emphasis unless there are no other focal planets.

In your case there are at least three:
- Moon parallel Pluto.
- Sun conjunct/parallel Uranus.
- Venus conjunct Pluto.

Moon parallel Pluto by itself is a great intensifier of feelings and urges of all kinds. You feel deeply or not at all. Affections tends to get sexualized, especially with men who have this aspect. Then there is the tendency for feelings to get stuck long-term into resentments or desire for a dominant position, especially at home.

It is that configuration of Sun/Uranus quincunx Moon that itself speaks of changing/altering moods and impulses relating to your application of your intention over outside input or in response to new information. Temperament issues -- especially relating to self-determination or freedom to act on impulse. If it remains a focus on freedom of impulse it is unlikely to be beneficial to you; if a broader perspective guides your application of intention, that is more likely to be helpful.

Venus conjunct Pluto indicates strong feelings of affection, even at times obsession triggered especially by relational dynamics with almost anyone or anything outside you. This is an aspect indicating the need for dramatic feelings. So the pursuit of creative activities is important so that you don't stir up drama with those around you. Push-pull dynamics in close relationships need your creative diversions to diffuse those tendencies.

Your Moon in Aries is also your Ascendant/chart ruler, exactly trining Mars in Sagittarius. I can see the loner in you, but you have a strong and powerful spirit and identity. I also have Moon in the 11th, but I tend to be alone a lot too.

In Vedic astrology I believe the Moon by itself can mean problems with the mind or it can predict great success and wealth too.

Thanks all. Very insightful.

One last question? Can someone point me to the thrust access?
http://www.myastrologybook.com/fan-kite-planetary-pattern-astrology.htm

3rd paragraph down mentions the wedge part of the fan, and each binding planet on the end, and midpoint, and the thrust axis. And the opposite midpoint of that axis, being what the personality of that wedge really wants in life? Im a bit lost as to find it. ??

So I found this out that 'Jupiter and Mars are the boundary planets. ... Their mid-point is at 16Scorpio27. ... The opposite point is 16Taurus27, which is in your 11th house (of friends and social activities). ... BUT, note that this point is conjunct Chiron - and that the latter is intercepted.

So Im still a big confused on the energy of this, and how the Moon functions as the handle? Kannon in his great reply wrote " You can be the judge. Do circumstances and stimulations get funneled into and change your emotions? Or do you drive your own energies from within based on your personal feelings?"

I guess a little bit of both. Is all the energy of the planets in the 4th 5th and 6 part of the wedge, ad all those energies are channeled emotionally through the moon in aries?

Aries23degrees re reading your post, you wrote Infact the stellium in Libra in 4th/ 5th with powerful Venus in Libra as the final dispositor of a majority of your planets(including the Asc, Moon and Sun) ,suggests that your life feels very much like one big balancing act.

Also The Moon answers to Venus in Libra...? how so?

How is Venus the final dispositor? How so? learning here. I know Venus is conjunct Pluto. Both opp Moon. How does it effect the asc, and the sun? Sun is in Scorpio? Or is it because 5th is in Libra? Venus rules Libra..

I know with Venus Pluto conjunct, I feel like the relationships I have had all their psychological junk seems to be brought out etc.

Mars/Pluto are both said to rule Scorpio
Jupiter/Neptune are both said to rule Pisces.

All roads lead to Venus in Libra. Your Venus in Libra is very potent. And the fact that it is on an angular house(4th house) squares the Asc suggests that it also influences your instinctive approach to the world.

Funny. Whenever I look at a chart the 2nd time around, I see something that I might have missed the 1st time.

You asked what role you Moon plays in your chart and I didn't check the aspects. I only went with moon in 11th.

You mentioned yourself a loner. That is probable given the opposition of Pluto to your Moon in 11th.

Pluto can make one intensely private & closed off/ suspicious of others who try to get close to them -especially if Pluto touches Venus/Moon.

I was mistaken about the Venus/Moon/Pluto relationship really. I think the Pluto effect on both can make one quite DEEP and not prone 2 have superficial relationships

This is especially when we see that Pluto/Venus are conjunct in the 5th and Saturn is in the 4th,Pluto/Venus squares Asc and Chiron in 11th enjoys an opposition from Mercury in 5th (you may dislike/hate "small talk" or find it awkward to strike random conversations with strangers).

These placement contribute to the "loner" quality you spoke of. My apologies.

Its just that I know someone with Moon in 11th whom is the social butterfly. But that is also because their Moon aspect Venus/Jupiter positively and their Sun is in the 7th house.

The power of Venus in Libra may be demonstrated in the very selective /few relationships you have(Pluto conjunction). When those closest to you speak praises about you, others may be surprised.

You may take relationships very seriously. But have a protective layer of detachment (Sun/Uranus conjunct)as well as perhaps emotional reservation/concealment(Saturn in 4th/Moon-Venus-Pluto) that was taught to you early on.

Often Sun/Uranus in Scorpio has an intense nature that they have to learn to get a hold of(lest they get frustrated their whole life through) primarily because their life has many starts and stops that makes consistency difficult.

So those they would wish to have more intimate relationships with, often walk out because of these upheavals and changes(Pluto/Venus/Moon also squares the Ac/Dc).

The nature of the individual then learns detachment or an expectation that things will end abruptly -especially when Sun is in the 5th/7th.

In your case the interesting thing is that Venus/Pluto conjunct is also in the 5th. And Pluto squaring the 7th is "all or nothing".

So that means that these two seemingly paradoxical approaches to relationships i.e Uranus in 5th and Pluto in 5th squaring the 7th,somehow have to co-exist.

Its not that you don't feel deeply(on the contrary). Its just that its painful for you to get so attached to something that may come to brusque end.

So you conceal many of your deep feelings and only those closest to you know of them.

Aries23degrees... You Rock! You left the message at 11:11 which follows me around often. As well as well as Transit Venus was exact my natal moon at the time I read this reply, and received this info and started researching about Venus final dispositor. I would have replied sooner. But wanted to read about it.

Thank you much. I never would have been able to find that. But its true. I found the dispositor tree option on Astro.com good ol Venus.

So some of the information I got was... The final dispositor is the real power hitter in your chart, the main playmaker …and regardless of the aspects to it, you have to learn to make friends with it. Understand this planet- what it wants and how it operates- and you have a key to making the most of your potential. It’s your Kingmaker. So how does it operate? what does Venus want ? harmony? love?

Dispositors are a one-way connector of the planets. It is simply the sign a planet is in; the planet of that sign is its dispositor. The planet that is the dispositor of a planet is the soul essence of that planet,(DeFouw). It gives the reasons why a planet reacts in the way it does. Example: Saturn in Libra: Venus
is the dispositor of Saturn because Venus rules Libra. Venus would be the soul, and reason why Saturn operates the way it works. Look to all the Planets and their dispositors. What is happening is you’re finding the connections of the planets. They are all connected in this way.

And I have read a few Venus final dispositors online. Was curious if anyone else had Venus as a final dispositor? Could share a bit what thats energy like in relation to other planets? Do natal interpretations about Venus mean the same for a final dispositor Venus, as Aries23 left lots of good info about it.

I know my natal Venus is conjunct Pluto both in Libra both opposition moon... I know have experienced relationships where people bring out all there deepest darkest psychological gunk, and I have been like, Whoa... in normal conversational settings, just spilling all the tea. haha.

I have also read about dignities, etc and how each planet has a sort of board of directors, where the final dispositor may be the face of the company, but it doesnt get the final vote.
Still learning

Curious is Venus connected at all to psychic phenomena? I have seen around the web some say its the ruler of the 3rd eye chakra... others say the heart chakra... Curious as I have experienced lots of strange psychic phenomena.. So was curious. I was thinking about posting another thread detailing the experiences, but... havent yet.

But aries23degrees you rock.
