What the heck!?!

Pluto was approaching my MC (Cap. 19' 07") and finally hit an exact conjunction, then went retrograde last month (at Cap 19' 23") and is going to be crossing over my MC again very soon. Then it will go direct again, and become exactly conjunct again on January 11th of 2018.

The current conjunction has been really rough, I was forced to drop out of my dream college and move back home with my (terrible) father. Right now I'm working 2 part time jobs with no future in them.

But the plan is to save up at these jobs, and move to the opposite coast to pursue the career that I was trying to get into at uni with a bunch of my friends from my school. I've come up with a pretty good plan, I think. This has sucked, but it kind of helped me refocus on what I want to do with my life.

The problem is that I don't really know what this retrograde holds for me, or what the third conjunction once it turns direct again will mean for me. I'm concerned that it may make my plans fall apart... again.

(For reference, I'm also Pluto Dominant.)

If anyone has been through something similar, I'd love to hear about your experiences!

I don't know about MC, but Pluto is on my NN and it's a very significant transit, making me obsess about the direction my life is going. I think it will lead to a huge transformation in your work life? If you're doing something you love, then you will gain more success. But if you're unhappy where you are, then you may be forced to go after what you really want.

Yeah I think that's a really good way of putting it. I'm also part of the generation where Pluto will be transitting my NN a few times and I'm really being pushed to go after what I was made to do.

Hey there,

My rectified Asc point is at 20 Aries with MC in 22 Cap

But I also have a T-square Moon Cancer 17, Merc Cap 16 and Mars Lib 18.

Pluto-Moon opposition has been an emotional roller-coaster so far.

I think Pluto-MC will coincide with my attempt to change my career aspirations. I am just not happy.

At-least you have a plan. Most times, I don't know which way is up and hope to get clarity of direction soon

My condolences. I believe the theme for these transits of yours is: "What am I willing to do to get my dream career?" Hopefully, it doesn't involve killing your father Even though Pluto rules the dead, he's preoccupied with survival and is willing to break the rules, manipulate and exploit in order to get what he wants. And you already know what you want. I'm not saying you will do horrible things, but don't be surprised if you find yourself in a somewhat ruthless and risk-friendly state of mind. If you rise above the challenges (which is likely considering you're Plutonic), I believe you'll be unstoppable. Try to think of it as a training for the times you won't be able to count on anyone's help, including your terrible father. Speaking of whom, I find it quite fitting that your struggle involves him. I see the link between the Midheaven and authority figures and he would be percieved by others as one in terms of your life even if you don't respect him.

May you rise from the ashes!

Haha! To make things even more interesting, one of my most exact natal aspects is also Saturn (my MC ruler) square Sun, so yeah, I'm not pleased with him right now!

(For reference, he purposely sabotaged my financial aid, which is why I had to drop out of my dream college. He's also pulled a lot of other insane, manipulative, controlling garbage in order to sabotage me and keep me under his control, but the list is literally too long for me to bring up here. He's legitimately a terrible person.)

I hope I don't end up doing anything terrible during this, though. Sag Sun + Libra Moon has kept me pretty ethical so far, and makes me HORRIBLY guilty if I lie or manipulate. I'm a really hard worker, too.

It just really sucks to feel like you're doing everything "right" and still making absolutely zero progress, just because the one person who's supposed to support you unconditionally is more interested in trapping you into isolation with only themselves.

The other fun bit is that I have Uranus/Neptune conjunct my MC, so Pluto will be transiting them over the next few years as well. It's going to be a wild ride, but so far it's just been a ride that I want to get off of!

I have a plan, but with the way the last several years have gone, it's not really that helpful to have a plan. I've had so, so, so many plans get completely obliterated.

Even with a plan (and a really, really well-thought-out one too!), it feels like I'm just walking into a void. I have all these hopes for my future, but I genuinely can't visualize them anymore, you know? I used to be able to feel like I could see where I was going, but it almost feels like I don't even HAVE a future, because nothing I'm hoping to build for myself feels real.

I don't know, it's a complicated feeling to describe, and that's the best I've got right now.

I went through Pluto square Moon recently, and it was horrible. I wish you the best, because it's a rough time and it sounds like you've got a lot ahead of you now, too. I'm sure you'll find your calling when the time comes!

Don't worry. I experienced this transit. Pluto destroys only to rebuild. Keep your dreams in mind always, so that you're rebuilding the future you desire.

Thank you for your advice! I mentioned that I have been having trouble visualizing the future that I want, because it just seems so far from the current reality I'm living in right now and I've had so many plans for my future just be completely demolished.

I really like the idea of focusing on what I want to build right now. It feels like everything is falling apart and stagnating instead.

It sounds corny as all heck, but I think I might need to make like... a moodboard or motivational collage or something to help me along! Just to manifest SOMETHING physically, you know?

By the way, what happened in your life during this transit, if you don't mind me asking?

I suppose you're hinting at the theory that the Sun can tell something about the father? Either way, ew. His behavior sounds more like a Pluto issue to me though (but I guess this planet isn't connected to your Sun). If you don't mind answering, does he have any hard Pluto aspects to his personal planets or ASC or do you receive hard aspects from his Pluto?

I didn't doubt that. But it's good to know how terrible he is.

With your Moon sign you're fairly safe. Although it sounds like your father deserves a slap in the face at least.

I can imagine. And I can believe you have reasons to feel hopeless when I think of your Sun-Saturn square. I'm afraid you need to master the art of patience with this one.

Keep calm, these transits alone don't have to be too ****** . I think a lot will depend on the other transits happening at the time.

Sounds like a good plan.

I discovered the book, The Secret, and tried to follow some of its teachings. Within a year, I left the job I hated and started doing work I love. Pluto is still in my 10th house, so I'm sure I have a few surprises left.

Moreso implying the common perceptions of Saturn representing the father, and Sun sq. Saturn often representing conflicts with fathers/figures of authority.

Luckily, I've always gotten along pretty well with other figures of authority. Somehow my rebellious spirit and open disagreement with their systems earns their respect.

Worldofsong,

It's ok if you can't visualize it. What's important is that you can feel it. For example, how would owning that dream car feel? Imagine yourself driving it and focus on the emotions. What does it feel like? Don't focus on your doubts because doubt contradicts and delays the manifestation of your desire. And you need blind faith ... believe even if you're not seeing any evidence yet that what you want is on its way to you.

When pluto was conjunt my M.C. a lucky series of events placed me in a position where I was able to start a business which proved to be very successful. It was one of the most fortunate periods of mt life, like an invisible hand escalated me to a powerful situation, out of the blue, without my really having to try.
This can be a most fortunate transit

Yeah but it gets really unfortunate before it gets fortunate. Need it also be mentioned that self-sabotage is such a mood killer main theme here as well?

This coming from an Uranus/Neptune/Lilith conjunct the MC person, experiencing Pluto crossing all of this and approaching my 19deg Capp NN.
Oh, and btw, anyone's Aries Asc getting hit by tUranus conjunction too?
Just sayin', sometimes it gets rough until it gets better. Sometimes I get the feeling someone's beating me with my own hand and constantly asking "why are you slapping yourself?"

Yeah, I totally get that feeling. It feels like I've been dealt an astonishingly ****** hand while everyone else is getting to enjoy their young-adulthood. I've got Uranus/Neptune conjunct MC as well. Lilith is thankfully(?) hanging out by my AC, but I can't imagine that making things easier for you.

I've been lucky enough to mostly avoid the self-sabotage theme... but that might be because of the super overt regular sabotage that I'm dealing with instead.

It's REALLY rough right now, though. So it had better get a LOT better in return! At this point the universe totally owes me big time! :P

Thank you for sharing your experience! I hope the same will happen for me. I'm trying to move to a place that will help me pursue my career (the field is close to non-existent where I currently live.)

I actually was looking into that Astro Click Travel thing after a thread about it appeared here, and where I'm planning to move is actually right by my Sun/MC line, so it feels like there's a lot pointing at me to move there.

I'm glad you made it through the transit well! And congratulations on your business, I hope it's still doing well!

Thank you for your advice. I'm working very hard to try to cultivate that "blind faith." It's been a really hard time for me, and it's hard to feel positive right now. Typically, I'm incredibly positive - far more so than the average person - so it's taken a lot to bring me to a point where I struggle to be even a little bit positive.

Dispelling doubt is a lot harder than it sounds, but I'm trying very hard. I'm nothing if not tenacious!
