Hi All... I was curious if anyone had any info. I have North Node Leo in 2nd, South Node 8th Aquarius. The NN ruler is in my 5th in Sun Scorpio, CONJUNCT the ruler of my SN Uranus Scorpio. How the heck does that work? They are both inconjunct my Moon Aries 11th.

SO was curious when the rulers of north and south node planets are conjunct same house same sign?

No direct experience here, but judging by what I have learnt and read, I would suggest that there is a consistent theme going through your lifepaths that needs addressing, Maybe one singular unusual event will impact you in such a way as to close off a SN theme, and push you towards the NN path.

Are they square the nodes? I've heard uranus talked about as a trauma marker - maybe there was a trauma in your youth that impacted who you are, giving you a chance to reframe that creatively and stand up for yourself in this NN path (leo NN).

Also, think about it in terms of moving from SN themes to NN by house as well as sign, so does the 2nd house to 8th house transition ring true?

I also have Leo NN and aqua SN (heading for nodal returns in the next few weeks yay), and I have uranus square my nodes. This suggests pastlife trauma and indeed one thing I have done several times in this life is use a trauma positively by sharing my experience to help others.

I always recommend creating a SN back story a la Steven Forrest in Yesterday's Sky, but for you there will be even more significance due to the conjunction of the rulers.

Hi.

Thanks. No the rulers or any other planets aren't in any aspect with my nodes.

Uranus is however transiting my 11th almost conjunct my Natal Moon Aries in that house. As mentioned Sun Urunas conjunct is inconjunct my moon. Aqu is natural ruler of 11th where its natural ruler is transiting.

2nd/8th house axis deals with security/death, stability /loss,self sustenance/shared resources etc.

In the past perhaps you suffered collective rejection/suffering as a result of championing an ideal(Aquarius 8th)?

In this life however, the need to ground ones life far from collective ideals and dwell in the safety of your own personal needs is pronounced(Leo 2nd).

You were a crusader for collective change in the past(Aquarius). And perhaps even lead a dangerous, unpredictable life as a result(8th)

In this one, the focus becomes more centred in the self. Being interested in your own needs and self fulfillment(Leo). Perhaps even drawn to a life of predictable, stable and docile attributes?

Now if the 2nd house cusp is in Leo, the Sun is the ruler and wherever the Sun is placed is where docility, stability and consistency is wanted.

So if in the 4th, together with wanting emotional intimacy and security(Sun in 4th), you strive to keep this area of life stable and unperturbed.

The conjunction from Uranus however would complicate things somewhat.

This would suggest that much of the emotional and physical stability wanted, is subject to a level of unpredictability and change.

So yes, Uranus rules the south node. So a lot of what you have lived before, you may be reliving now.

In the example above, you could be living in a communal environment(Uranus in 4th) or there could be a level of unpredictability and chaos in your conditions that are either brought on by yourself/others.

So you end up feeling very threatened, insecure and fearing the loss of peace of mind/tranquility(8th).

Maybe the trick in the example above,is to bring enough excitement in your everyday life so as not to feel bored?

So the momentum of the edgy past life(Uranus rules the 8th) has not completely worn off and wants expression in this life too-conjunction with Sun.

So having to balance security(2nd) with a level of adventure(8th), is warranted.

Thanks Aries.

You gave a few example of what that may look like if say in the 4th house... but as mentioned my NN and SN rules are both in Scorpio in the 5th house.

You wrote :

So just trying to put it int 5th house context. But I can relate to the other stuff written very much.

So move it to the 5th.

The 5th house is where stability is yearned for(ruler of 2nd in 5th). But at the same time, excitement is wanted too(ruler of the 8th in 5th).

With Scorpio involved, the stability you yearn for is emotional in essence i.e trust, loyalty, sexual intimacy and complete acceptance.

With Sun/Uranus conjunct in Scorpio on one hand you desire the above but with Uranus in the mix, you may simultaneously sabotage these needs too.

Uranus in Scorpio suggests the redefinition of sexual fulfillment, loyalty, intimacy, sharing, loyalty, trust and did I mention loyalty?

There is likely a push/pull "I want you close/please go away" dynamic in 5th house matters that could border on psychological mind games and emotional up/downs.

If you have children for instance, you may pull them close in one breath. And then close them off in another.

Things never quite settle to a predictable pattern as you pull them apart before they do. Or you invite conditions/people to pull them apart for you.

In many ways this constant flux(Uranus) helps to redefine your identity(Sun). But it can be quite chaotic/erratic in terms of intimacy/sexual closeness(Scorpio).

People whom you attract may end up feeling resentful of you and your push/pull dynamics. Or you may be the one who gets angry and writes off others for the same.

Scorpio is such strong energy that it comes with some aggressive force i.e either through explosive feelings/destructive behaviour.

When in the 5th, this area of life may serve to be full of upheavals, ups/downs and difficult.

You may suffer sudden loss, write-offs and extreme stand offs because indifference rarely occurs with Scorpio energy

You may find that you are constantly building(2nd house ruler Sun) to destroy/ have things destroyed (ruler of the 8th Uranus).

So you may lean towards detachment in one instance and then crying foulplay in the next.As you yourself are a person of extremes.

I wonder, how was your Father like?

Thanks Aries. Makes sense.

My father? Very complicated relationship. He passed away 12 or 13 years ago ;(. Was a tough time. He was mean and cruel at times, slightly warm at others. Sensitive one moment, touched and moved, then cold and icy. He was a Capricorn. Was closer with my sister. She is a Cap as well. I had to achieve something or do something well in order for him to focus positively, which was always brief. Or it was opposite focusing on me for negative reasons. Was always on edge around him. He worked out of town 2 weeks of the month, I felt free. When he would come back the disciplinarian was home, his rules, his way, on edge or else.

I also realize I have Sun Uranus Conjunct, but my Sun is also conjunct my vertex in Scorpio as well. Not sure if that ads any energy to the mix

The reason i asked that was to highlight the parallels between the on/off,erratic relationship(Uranus) with your Father(Sun) and how this energy could be easily transferred into your relations with your children(if any) or romantic relations.

You could fear deep intimacy(Scorpio) because of distrust that it may be withdrawn without warning(Uranus). Similar to how your father treated you.

So you may opt for freedom from any ties but still be seeking some unconventional form of intimacy. Maybe trying to avert hurt/pain that you learned to associate with affection early in your life with Dad.

If you have kids, you may have trouble with the parental role or encourage them to be self-sufficient very early on. Perhaps fearing to repeat the pattern you had with your emotionally distant parent?

It could also suggest a dislike of kids/thinking of them as an impediment to your freedom(but other factors in the chart will highlight this)

What i find deeply ironic about this placement however is that Sun/Uranus on 5th often suggests a sudden/unexpected pregnancy.

And with the sign being in Scorpio, the child is likely to be quite emotionally demanding-forcing you to open up and get in touch with the loving part of yourself.

They may act out in destructive ways to get your attention. Or be very sensitive/introverted that you will have to learn to probe and "read" them somehow. And perhaps even suggesting that you may be the only person who knows how.

The other aspect could be loss of the child (Scorpio)or some type of psychological suffering as a result of a sudden disruption in a 5th house matter(but this is an extreme case).

This aspect of Sun/Uranus may teach you to love deep enough to get close. But not so deep that you become dependent or defined by that bond.

It encourages closeness but also the ability to one day let go. I would think it very much the foster Mom/Dad aspect or ad-hoc parenting.
