I'm not sure how you get to indolent, but there is a dislike of make work or wasted effort. As for pessimistic, perhaps the other side of that coin is practicality? A little pessimism is good for laying out your IT department's disaster recovery plan or your retirement investing.IP: Logged |

Mercury, planet of thought and communication in driving aspect with Saturn, which contains, controls, structures thought, with an effect tending to lessen the outward dynamic of communication.Those with Mercury square Saturn can be prone to serious thinking and pessimissm. This is partly because of the tendency to see/think in terms of problems to solve that can create tunnel vision. The thinking can be quite constructive if balanced by other energies. It can, however, tend to complicate things or make them harder than they need to be. But these can be good 'figure it out' folks who are willing to work harder intellectually than family or peers. Life may require it of them. Can be studious. May take an effort to get them out of their own heads where they have intellectual control and into freer, spontaneous exchange. I have this aspect. It is annoying because sometimes it can manifest as problems with thinking or make you slow of speech but it can show a different type of intelligence too (autistic geniuses come to mind here).IP: Logged |
