He has this extreme ability to.....make words bigger than they are. He could make the ugliest human appear pretty with his words and he could make the most NORMAL thing appear as the most FANTASTIC thing he has ever experienced. It took a while for me to figure this out and in the beginning I was freakin annoyed when reality dawned! That "good friend" he'd been talking so nicely about wasn't actually even a friend. That amazing ski vacation he took with his ex gf turned out to be less then sub-par. That yellow, beautiful flower was actually a ******* cacti. Etc etc Could this be because his Mercury is opposite Jupiter?? Oh yeah, my own Mercury sq Pluto does NOT approve of this nuisance :-/ IP: Logged |

sry but I had to lol, it kind of makes me smile. It seems we all have our quirks, have you ever told him about his exaggerations? Maybe you should try it on him? Like oh I made this extraordinary dinner! And then give spaghetti and meatball.  IP: Logged |

YES.Mercury to Jupiter especially the hard aspect. Mine has sextile but I do have Saturn sextile and Pluto square. I definitely hate exaggerate story (mercury square jupiter did that to me), it feels like the person is lying to my face or not trustworthy enough. It doesn't mean I will call them a liar but I should put less trust to every story. I also will very detail oriented when listening to dramatic overwhelming story. Sometimes it feels like exaggerate story too. IP: Logged |

Sadly, this is what it's come to now. I take everything he says with a grain of salt and I don't like it because I am highly Pluto infused and I don't like things exxagerated and "make believe". I want the dirty truth and I want you to shove it in my face! IP: Logged |

 Sorry. It just made me chuckle.When I think of people who do that, Libra, Sag, Pisces and Leo come to mind. Libra- because everything is made to be beautiful/glamorous to minimize the "ugly"/"ordinary". Sag-because of the words used i.e "stupendous", "magnificent", "earth shattering" Pisces- Because of the desire to make something more profound and beyond the earthly realm(similar to Sag). Pisces will often use words like "soul connection", "divine love", "angelic laugh", "heavenly pursuit", "spiritual birth" etc. Leo is also the type to blow things out of proportion and make them BIG. After all Leo is the sign of the dramatic arts,creativity and pomp. These guys will say things like "The best", "the most beautiful", "sexiest ever", "timeless masterpiece" etc Donald Trump talk(not hating on him)before he became President and even during his campaign,would use words like "the best","never before seen","out of this world", "unprecedented" etc. to describe something that he was about to do that turned out quite ordinary actually Trump has an "out of bounds" Mercury in Cancer. And any planet that is out of bounds to my understanding, goes on its own way and can be eccentric. So exaggeration and fluffing do happen when its Mercury. But if in Cancer its more inhibited and self-conscious. And not what I hear from him at all. Then I considered that natally, his Mercury squares Jupiter/Neptune in Libra(BINGO). Everything is beautiful and the "ugly" is minimized in his talk He also has Moon in(big expressions and gestures)Sag contra parallel Pluto in(blow it right out of the water)Leo. Look to see if your hubby has traces of these energies therein that may exaggerate his claims or cause him to distort "reality" etc. Truth is however, we all don't perceive reality the same way. What is beautiful to you is not to me and what I thought was "outstanding" may be mediocre to you etc. I have Mercury in Cap in aspect to Uranus,Jupiter and Neptune in Sag. So I do understand that going over-board is something I can do easily. But I also have Saturn in Scorpio trine Moon,sextile Mercury and conjunct Venus. So this keeps me seeing the darkness of something/ eerie bits etc.

I am the same! Like it bugs me bc I am like you are lying and about something stupid for which there is no need to.... Is like why? My husband is not like this but sometimes he does it a little bit socially and my sis too by changing a story here and there but I am like I remember when you said it to me and you are changing stuff and it bugs me lol why? I have mercury conjunct jupiter in leo. It's not that I don't see the bad in people because I do , I just like to focus on the positive for the most part even though I have feelings and can be hurt by people. It leaves me seeing the bigger picture from what I understand. Although I think I am more of a realist than anything. So it might be what you consider a friend vs what he considers a friend ( perception) could be different. Which might also be the reason you two are together, he may lighten you up and not take things so heavy while you may tighten him up and not make everything so big. IP: Logged |

Your husband sounds like he's never bored though. If he can make the simplest thing sound amazing, there's no shortage of enjoyment in his life.But, as you describe him doing that, it would bug me too if I was with someone that exaggerated everything. Saturn squares my Sun and I have a Scorpio Ascendant. I don't have time for exaggerations. IP: Logged |

I live with someone who is like that, not husband but my father and I always attributed it to his Sun in Leo combust Mercury in Leo conjunct Venus in Leo. Moon and Asc in Aries too. I know how annoying it can get, but as time goes on, I see it now as this funny little quirk. My father can make himself James Bond in his stories in a heartbeat. Maybe we should both check that asteroid in their charts just for the funsies.  ------------------

It's not that I'm a tight-ars*. I'm actually very "Jupiter" and I am a very positive person to a fault which means I see beauty in the ugly and in the realest reality as well. So that's what I want: give me reality and don't worry about painting it prettier than it is IP: Logged |

I understand , I should have added that I have moon conjunct pluto in the 1st so defiantly a realist when it comes to somethings. Mercury conjunct jupiter makes me see the larger picture and to think grand,positive to some degree, knowledge seeker also able to have street smarts with higher education \knowledge integrated. This is true, I did a personality thing and I defiantly agree I have Ti which is introverted thinking. I tend to take things internally, process them against my experiences in life and knowledge that I have learned to be a truth to makes sense of the world whereas extroverted thinking will process information on the outside environment as in data to make sense of the world.
