I've read a lot of different things about this. Some people say it's when you have 3 or 4 planets in the same house. Some say that the planets have to be in the same sign. For example if I have Venus, Mercury, Jupiter in my 8th house. In order for it to be considered a stellium they would all have to be in the same sign. Then some say that the planets actually have to form a conjunction. So which one is it? I have Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and North Node in my 8th house. My Mercury, Jupiter and North Node is in Aries but my Venus is in Pisces. There is a conjunction between my North Node and Jupiter and also Mercury and Jupiter.

The definition of a stellium has become very loose.

A "real" stellium is supposed to be a rare occurrence. The most conservative definition of a stellium is 4 or more planets in the same sign or house other than Venus and Mercury (conjunctions are not necessary)

Mercury and Venus don't move very far apart and often come together and form conjunctions to the Sun. A Sun/Venus/Mercury conjunction is not a stellium by that definition, you need to have 3 more planets (like Sun/Venus/Mercury/Moon/Mars/Jupiter).

Also a cluster of only outer planets also isn't a "real" conservative stellium since they move slow and are generational.

An example of a conservative definition stellium would be something like this - Venus/Mars/Jupiter/Saturn

But people rarely follow that rule. A more liberal definition of a stellium is 4 or more (some say 3 or more) planets in the same sign or house.

I personally don't follow the traditional definition strictly though I don't think a Sun/Mercury/Venus conjunction should be considered a stellium.

The North Node does not count towards a stellium as it is not a body, but a point. Signs, rather than houses are considered more for stelliums.

Well I'm not sure why I was told that I had one in the 8th house. I do have Venus, Mercury and Jupiter there. I do feel like I relate a lot to 8th house themes. I like reading about death, the occult etc.

I read that a concentration of energy in one house or a bundle of planets in one sign (incl the personal planets Moon/Mercury/Venus/Mars) makes a stellium. I think it was on Skywriter or something.

I think 4 planets was the minimum. Either in one house/one sign.

Some people have a collection of planets in two different signs in one house. Others have the same sign overlay in two different houses.

I feel mine, although only 3 planets, it is definitely a stellium. Because both my luminaries are 2of the 3 in my House 2.
Venus is part of this stellium and she naturally owns H2 so she's magnified thanks to the moon and sun.
It really depends on which powers each planet, house has to determine the strength of a stellium. Now in my case if this stellium were in a house not belonging to sun/moon/venus,
it might be much less powerful. I've always been hugely into personal indulgences within the material word. Including in my relationships. I grow extremely attached to the living beings within my personal orbit, due to what 'I value'.

I'd say to exclude 3 planets as a stellium could be a mistake. Each individual will know if he/she 'feels' the extra planetary powers.

For the longest time I thought I had one. I have Venus, Jupiter, Mercury and North Node in my 8th house. But people say that the North Node isn't counted as a part of a Stellium. But reading about the 8th house Stellium. I do relate to a lot of things. Some people who have a 8th house Stellium say they like things that I related to death, taboo etc. And I relate to a lot of those things.

I'd say if you relate to 'any' 8H matters in a strong manner, your stellium likely counts. Just my opinion but also there is a wide range of meaning associated to 8H. Dig deep, you may find more that you see involving your stellium.
