You've been reading the wrong interpretations. The interpretation of any transit can only speak to circumstantial possibilities as examples of how the energies may play out based on your life up to now and based on how you respond to and utilize its potentials.

Saturn opposite natal Jupiter is Saturn's mature taming of a more youthful attitude towards expansion. It re-emphasizes the value of learning from experience, to pair it with optimism, taming the desire to grasp at the good.

In its role in opposition to natal Jupiter, Saturn may show as persons (bosses, parents, teachers, etc) who seem to say no to big plans and ideas. The relational dynamic of the opposition is usually at play in some way.

It can also show as circumstances in which big plans or ideas are delayed. The underlying principle is the same: there is a time for everything, and now is the time to make sure that your big plans and ideas have practical value and planning -- particularly if they involve other people.

Robert Hand, famed astrologer, says in his book Planets in Transit:

quote:

During this time, your opportunities for growth and expansion in life are limited. You may feel that you are moving sideways, if not actually going in reverse. There may be financial problems, especially if you have overextended yourself in the recent past... a period of readjustment after a period of possibly too-rapid expansion ...

This is why I say Saturn's more mature guidance helps tame Jupiter's expansion.

Anticipation of the negative gets us nothing. If we've over-expanded, we cut back. If big ideas or plans need more practical nitty-gritty to make them work, we slow down and add them in. Simple in principle, not always in application.

I've had it. Think I was "forced" to grow up at that point which I VERY reluctantly obliged to..

Saturn transit sits on my Sun/Jupiter/Neptune natal triple conjunction.

I don't know what Robert Hand means about "opportunities" drying up though. As i think this transit is reminiscent of trans Saturn-natal Venus conjunction in 2014.

The opportunities are there. But the "oomph" is compressed considerably.

The outlook is more cynical, critical, doubting, stern & not easily excited or impressed.

Most of these "opportunities" that one has, feel too good to be true or "hot air". So one is usually a hard sell

But i think the key word here for Jupiter is enthusiasm and the willingness to try something new. And that is what i feel i lack brutally now.

There is a test of faith in my beliefs(not necessarily religious). A cynical outlook, exasperation and trying to keep myself from being eroded by thoughts of doubts about the future.

The good news is that the list of "things i want to do when i grow up" are reviewed extensively to what is probable.

Ironically one may not feel attractive too with this aspect. But you may attract suitors who will do jumping jacks to get your attention all because u are not interested(the universe is twisted like that)

... Nothing, because he didn't say that. "Drying up" is your term. He wrote "opportunities are limited". That means they are there, just less of them or less dynamic.

Also, understand what was inquired about and described above is the opposition by Saturn to natal Jupiter, not the conjunction as you are describing. Not exactly the same dynamic. Saturn in the transit position opposite natal Jupiter is in the zenith position in relation to natal Jupiter, inhibiting its outreach dynamic. Your comments relating to compression and enthusiasm are understandable given you are going through the conjunction rather than the opposition.

Suffice it to say, not an easy time.

when the transit saturn or jupiter are making aspects to your natal saturn or jupiter, these are gonna be one of the most important times in your life in terms of the decisions you will make

particularly when transit saturn aspects natal jupiter, optimism and intelligence, blends with realistic routines which are needed to bring ideas into reality

many people who have done great things which have changed many others' lives are born with a saturn transit to jupiter at the time they were born...opposition, square or conjunction specifically

saturn and jupiter are the planets that always work together; applying one without the other often brings disasters

as for any saturn transit though, never believe the fatalistic and negataive interpretations which the internet is full of...most of them are shallow interpretations

with saturn, you reap what you sow...if you've been working hard enough in the area that saturn wants, before it hits a place in your chart exactly, then you have nothing to worry, as a matter of fact you will be feeling a lot better even, after seeing your hard work pay off and your accomplishments

around me, I have seen people's lives turn wonderful turns around their saturn return..most of them have started high paying jobs or have married the person they loved and wished for..I'm saying these based off my parents, aunts and uncles, and cousins who are in their 30s and 40s now

there are only a couple of them though who have lost jobs and relationships, and all they considered dear, but those were jobs ad relationships that they'd held on to out of insecurity, fear and laziness to do bigger things...saturn has taken away those, to force them to become real to themselves

How do you interpret the natal opposition we have?

You guys, thank you.
I am avoiding internet interpretations of this transit, most are very negative. I've been having a really rough time so i'm avoiding astrologers that tell me i will fail in everything under this transit.

I was wondering why my husband was having a hard time.
Since the late cardinal degrees are quite compatible in his chart with it being Cancer season now.

Well Saturn is opposing his Jupiter now. He has been in his field for 3 years now. So it weird to hear about just dread going into work everyday.

I guess one of his supervisors just yelled at him unfairly yesterday.

He is not even at the climax of this transit yet.

It talks about partner challenges too. Anything I've swept under the rug has surfaced. We are in couples therapy weekly now.

Round one of Jupiter opposing my Jupiter Cancer h2. I KNEW I had to find a new job.

That job was like being in an abusive relationship. I realized I had to be proactive about getting out of there as soon as Saturn was 5 away gaining on my Jupiter. It took me 10 months to get away from that place. Saving money, and some sneaky interviews. Taking a sick day to go on a job interview, not getting the job I was crushed. But then I got a new job. And I had my challenges at new job that was my dream job.

Husband does not want to believe that he will be dealing with these issues for the rest of the year, and a little beyond that.

He told me how much he does not like going to work right now. He has a hunch that it is just the company he is currently working under. He is tempted to tell one of his supervisors that he wants to be on a different job site. But he is worried about being put on the bench too long.

When I first went though this transit myself I was very quiet around my husband. If I am quiet around my husband...he assumes I am upset with him...so when I finally told him what was going on at my job he was relieved that it was about my job and not him.

Anyways I think it's good that my husband is taking R&R in about two weeks from now.

Saturn is a degree away from opposing his Jupiter right now.

Which house is Jupiter in ? Generally speaking, Sat in opp to any planet would pause, interrupt, slow down or condense the energy of that planet. The effects being very noticeable upon the retrograde motion of Sat.

Jup(barring adverse aspects) is a planet of expansion, growth and "more". It rules two signs that don't like boundaries. Sag(doesnt like physical boundaries) and Pisces(doesn't like emotional boundaries).

So the house where Jupiter is at is where awareness tends to expand. We have a more "birds eye" view of things. But when Sat opposes Jup, it can bring on limitations to that house/restrictions.

That means our "birds eye" view is suspended or compromised here. Either we start to think that we have been looking at the bigger picture all wrong. Or we struggle to make sense of it-because the view may be harsh or unforgiving.

Admittedly, it may be a time of decompression and cynical thoughts. The questioning of belief systems and what we have been educated on is repealed. Its not the best of times for sure.

If Jup rules/is in the 2nd house. Money runs out, budget constraints must be made or disposable income may dry up because of unforeseen expenses or the rising costs of expenses within the household i.e lights/heater/ gas etc.

Some people get fired or reach a ceiling in their jobs. Others may have more work placed on their shoulders .Or they find the conditions at work too restrictive or demoralizing and quit.

If Jup rules/is in the 4th. Home environment may become emotionally unwelcoming. Problems within the domestic sphere can create distance between couples. Someone you are living with is very stifling. One may have to move out at a great cost/inconvenience to an undesirable place. Your work desk may be within eye shot of the big boss. And they may feel like micro managing you or complain about how many times you are away from it etc.

Thanks Aries23degrees

Jupiter is in his 11th house. He is not getting the team vibes like he has at other job sites. He was almost like a frat boy when he first started.
He will get asked to do things, he doesn't really know how to do yet, and he gets crap if he asks for help.

Saturn Aquarius is in his 5th house. He is not having as much fun as he use to. I also told him how the heck are we going to have kids if I don't even know what state I'll be in, in the next 3 months?

Ah yes for me Jupiter is Cancer house 2 when I went though this.

Forced overtime, hostile work environment, I got a "warning" from my boss. When I first started that job, I pretty much looked on Indeed every day after work. I couldn't find the same kind of work that would pay more.

I decided to get a bachelors degree since I didn't think I would get a lead teaching job with just my associates. If I couldn't find a new job in the summer I would become a full time student.

That summer I nannied my nieces and Nephews for money as well as care give for my 95 year old grandma. Until I got my Preschool teacher job. While I was tempted to not finish my bachelors degree, I stuck with it. I really felt like I was treading water constantly having a job where I take my work home with me and online college work.

Yep my boss was a micromanager. I did not know how to deal with it until my 3rd year working there.

I think my grandma also died when Saturn transited my 8th house. (March 2019)

I also realize to this day that I resent my husband for not being of his word about our next move. I stayed at a job I hated for 2 years because I thought we would move soon. He knows I do, but I should probably go over it with our therapist.

Oh also my husband kind got someone kicked off the job site. The guy was very reverse phycology, and rude. He could mock my husband but the one time my husband did it back to him he lost his mind.

Husband was his supervisor too.

The day he told my husband "no" to doing his job. When my husband has to leave early to catch his flight...was the last straw for him. And he asked for him to be kicked off the site, and it went though. While I am glad it happened. It was very stressful for my husband and he got sick after. Covid. Probably from the airport but still.

Yeah, 10th house is the career. And 11th is 2nd from the 10th . So the 11th is "rewards" from that career (amongst many other things).

So Saturn on Jupiter (affiliated with the 11th) can suggest that one doesn't find the career very fulfilling or rewarding.

And since 11th is also about camaraderie and fellowship with others. Saturn affecting the planet in that house can increase feelings of being distant or "misplaced". And not at all bonded with others there. A fish out of water(so to speak). And this can increase dissatisfaction with the place of employment or career altogether(in some extreme instances). 🤷🏿‍♂️

Yes, I totally see that right now. His social life is pretty non existent.

Job is not fulfilling. 14 hr days sometimes. Day shift people blame the night shift people for things. One of his supervisors yelled at him. For a while he has been talking about the "Good ol boys club" he says he's not in it. They are the ones who seem to have favoritism.
