I just read this, "don't get surgeries or important medical treatments done on days near your birthday or the birthday of a person close to you"..supposedly the writer believes this makes the recovery longer and harderhave you had any experience with such situation? IP: Logged |

No. I can think of no applicable astrological principle supporting this. In fact, on your birthday Sun transits conjunct natal Sun, which if anything supports vitality and new starts. What site/writer are you referring to? ------------------

There is no such lengthy list of 'very important rules' for solar returns for anyone. Belngs in file 13.I've said it many times. The solar return does not deserve a separate 'horoscope' of its own. The only Asc and houses that matter are the ones in your birth chart. ------------------

The time to have surgery is if it is truly needed once you have prepared for it mentally and physically. Otherwise astrology is being relied on to avoid 'negative' occurrences, which is presumption of the negative as seen implied in the linked sites rules for avoiding 'explosive' events, occurrences and otherr things happening because of 'negative' solar returns.We humans have the free will to turn negatives into positives at anytime. That is our spiritual power -- if we use it. ------------------

Astrology is great as a spiritual/personal development tool, but the more it delves into 'avoid the bad stuff from happening to me' the less helpful it is. I strongly favor a proactive approach to life challenges over the defensive posture this sort of astrology promotes.Taking control ourselves. If there are so many rukes it becomes like some 33 commandments of astro-religion, it has really become astro-neurosis. We each can co-create with the universe outcomes for such things as medical procedures or anything else in life. Just bring your mind to a place of peace and to focus on the choice/situation and verbalize your way through a visualization of a happy, healthy outcome. You don't need to know how. Let the universe coordinate that through your own subconscious and superconscious in the background. The most I have ever advised regarding surgery and astrology is to set the date when the Moon will not be in the sign correlating to the part of body operated on, but you may not be able to avoid the progressed Moon being in that sign. So don't fret it. Just prepare and use your pre-healingl power and ask the universe (or God, however you prefer to phrase it) to show you so clearly what to do that there can be no mistake and no doubt. 90% of what we worry about never happens anyway.
