So since pluto is this planet we are are all so fascinated with I decided to generate the discovery chart for Pluto! I am not surprised with what I found as it matches my experience with heavy Plutonic relationships!Markers in Discovery Chart of True Love: 1. Sun conjunct Venus, Venus conjunct Valentine 2. Jupiter conjunct Ceres exact 3. Neptune (the higher octave of Venus) conjunct Agapenor exact (the asteroid of unconditional love) 4. Poseidon (h47) trine exact BML (loving without possessing that leads to healing) Markers in Discovery Chart of Erotic Love: 1. Mars conjunct Eros and Atropos all exact Marker in Discovery Chart of Star Crossed Lovers 1. Pyramus (Greek Romeo) conjunct Thesbe (Greek Juliet) by 1d in Scorpio!. Other note worthy markers: 1. Pluto trine Psyche exact 2. Alma conjunct Juno widely 3. Moon in Scorpio 4. Pholus trine Northnode and sextile southnode 5. Moon conjunct Southnode opposite Chiron conjunct Northnode *Thesbe, Pyramus, and Moon all been in the same sign of the Southnode in Scorpio show how these soulmates feel fated and familiar like we have met before in previous lives. However, its closeness to the southnodes also indicate that these are relationships meant to transform us yes marking a turning point in our lives or to trigger needed healing work but that we are also meant to leave behind and outgrow. It seems the ultimate fate of such relationships is a type of death and transformation that leads to healing and self-actualization (chiron conjunct northnode) that is achieved through erotic love (mars conjunct eros squares chiron conjunct northnode opposite moon conjunct Southnode). Mars conjunct Eros is the vehicle that takes you from that place of pain coming from realizing that love is not enough and having to sacrifice that love in order to grow spiritually (chiron conjunct northnode). Pluto is about the power of love and erotic love in healing and understanding that love is a vehicle to a bigger goal (chiron) that requires you to let go of that which you love so deeply and learn to love it without possessing it (poseidon trine BML, agape conjunct neptune). Its about letting erotic love and love transform you and then also been able to release that person you love to achieve a bigger goal. Two soulmates come together and transform themselves with their unconditional love and via their intense sexual connection and achieve healing via this vehicle but then go their separate ways yet their souls will always be connected and forever transformed by their union (alma conjunct juno). Is a marriage of the souls, not a marriage license type of connection. The ultimate goal is transcendence, healing, personal growth and a bond that cannot be broken bc is an union of the souls. I will post the discovery chart in the next post.

Pluto been the God of the underworld ruling the taboo and forbidden it makes sense it has the asteroids that represent romeo and juliet conjunct, a forbidden love theme... Ultimately a big reason Romeo and Juliet came together is to bring peace between two families who were at war so the goal indeed is to use love as a vehicle for healing that benefits the whole (chiron conjunct Northnode). But in order to get there a type of death must take place, a kind of sacrifice. IP: Logged |

Becoming possessive brings the toxic side of pluto instead of the transformative side, it brings out the obsessiveness and insecurities trapping you into the lower manifestations of pluto instead of letting the lower manifestations pass away so you can be taken to that place of transcendence. One of the lower manifestations of pluto is pride, falling into the trap of power struggles or fear. For a pluto relationship to last both have to be evolved enough to not fall into either of those traps and have to meet when both are single. The thing with pluto is that it has this tendency to bring your shadow side to the surface which ultimately destroys the relationship but then sets you in a long journey to learn to understand your shadow side and work through it and you are then forever changed by it. The result is a more evolved whole version of you but it could feel like surviving hell to get to the other side in some cases like if there is a lot of inner work that needs to get done. Part of it is about learning to enjoy desire and give into it but without it ending up controling you. Pyramus conjuncts Thesbe in the pluto discovery chart so there is a lesson there of parts of you dying and transforming in order to change this belief of "I cant live without them." Pluto teaches us that we can heal and survive the worse kind of heartache and how love can feel like a drug but it can also transform you and help you reach your higher self. IP: Logged |

Interesting how in the discovery chart sun conjunct venus squares jupiter showing how the ego and pride can easily get in the way of the relationship lasting with venus sesquiquadrate pluto.. Add Pyramus conjunct Thisbe and there are a lot of challenges at play with pluto but equally as much beauty. IP: Logged |

Actually LUCIFER in ARIES is inconjunct the SOUTHNODE exact in the discovery chart! WOWTalk about the need to outgrow pride (lucifer) in order to reach the northnode goal and reap the rewards of pluto. How often do we experience pride getting in the way of these powerful connections and ruining a beautiful thing... Having sun conjunct Venus square Jupiter strengthens this tendency of the ego getting in the way of love.. It also explains the rep pluto has for been vindictive, vengeful, holding grudges and pridefulness; it comes from Lucifer in Aries inconjunct Southnode exact. Its actually the tightest aspect in the chart and inconjunctions are very karmic which takes this to another lever if the southnode is involved: Southnode in Scorpio @5d10 Lucifer in Aries @5d16 Second tightest: Agapenor in Virgo @2d10 Neptune in Virgo @2d17 Further with the moon conjunct Southnode this hints to the need to balance out emotional attachment and over dependency. Loving your work with discovery charts Just had to say it. Have had this tab open for a while, and I keep refreshing expecting to see folks bein like HELL YEAH. But since they aren't, here I am. I love your reflections on the nature of Pluto in our relationships. Absolutely, the need is to let go... and love unconditionally... then true power flows and we are fulfilled in all the ways we wanted but were actually cutting off the flow of that fulfillment through the suffocating force of our attachment and attempts at control... let go... Thank you so much for commenting, glad someone read this and a scorpio herself Another thing I noticed that you will find interesting is that the discovery chart of uranus has pluto in aquarius and the discovery chart of pluto has sun in aquarius and both have that theme of "unexpected changes" both have this element of shock going and shaking up the system..... So cool Glad you are ok IP: Logged |

Pluto is a minor planet, dwarf or large asteroid. Perhaps it should be moved then to astrology 2.0Its a dwarf planet that use to be considered a planet and is a crucial ruler in astrology. It belongs in astrology 2.0 if not in Interpersonal. IP: Logged |

Further my analysis is centered around love, synastry, soulmates and relationships mostly hence why I put it in Interpersonal. You moved my valentine post too which was centered around love, soulmates and relationships. There are posts that really can go in either category so when that happens maybe let the person who started the post decide were it should go.. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Yes but glancing through, the discussion and the titles are concerning the discovery chart itself, which does not relate to synastry. It's somewhat tricky knowing where posts related to Interpersonal Astrology/Asteroids should go, but I think in general they should go into the Asteroids forum (Pluto being classified as an asteroid now) but Astrology 2.0 works too. I remember reading that Asteroid synastry topics should go into the Asteroids forum. IP: Logged |

Pluto astrologically speaking is more than an asteroid, it rules scorpio. People in Astrology 2.0 are always posting things that include Pluto or Scorpio in the title so it fits better here in Astrology 2.0. IP: Logged |

Updated Discovery chart to include discovery time from Astrobank, I had it set to 12:00 noon but astrobank has a discovery time recorded...Love the grand trine between ambrosia, psyche and pluto! Lovely.. Clearly a true love minor planet with the higher octave of venus Neptune conjuncting exact Agapenor but also has that star crossed lovers theme with Pyramus conjunct Thebes. IP: Logged |

Pluto is a real love marker without a doubt but its also IMO a star crossed lovers marker so its a complicated fellow often leading to intense encounters or relationships that transform you but that also involve pain at some point, such encounters often end and don't make it to marriage but definitely lead to a lot of personal growth as they bring to the surface parts of us that we need to examine, transform and let go of. Strong plutonic relationships carry the energy of erotic love always bc it has mars conjunct eros exact squaring the nodes. This coupled with Pyramus conjunct Thesbe in its chart gives a strong sense of urgency to come together and act on that strong desire, like its life or death, the result of this is healing through erotic love but when you cannot act on the desire to be together there is a lot of pain since it feels like an urgent matter of life or death. The person must learn to let go of the desire in order to heal. There is both healing by giving in to the desire and healing by letting go of the desire to be with them and accepting the death of outcome your mind was attached to. I have come to this conclusion by looking at Pluto's discovery chart and my own personal experiences.

I wonder if all the Aquarius placements is responsible for the famous "push and pull" pluto is known for and the reputation it has for not wanting to be controlled. Perhaps pluto secretly struggles with the desire to surrender to love and to keep his autonomy and not wanting to lose themselves in the relationship resulting in this "push and pull" phenomenon. After all plutonic synastry does not make you feel in control, the attraction and push to surrender to love can feel overpowering and can be scary for someone who values their autonomy and likes to be in control. On the other hand aquarius likes to be surprised and shocked and feels curious and drawn to exploring such connection resulting in the "push and pull" phenomenon. Sun, angel, mercury, amor, eros and mars all in aquarius.. Mercury disposited by uranus which is disposited by mars and mars disposited by uranus so mars and uranus are in mutual reception.. I feel this describes pluto very well, the quote from the joker:Desire becomes surrender. Surrender becomes power. When you desire something or someone, as in the case of Harley Quinn and the Joker, your surrender to the desire and the desire becomes your power. Harley Quinn’s desire and willingness to surrender to the Joker in the end becomes her power. He falls for her just as hard as she has fallen for him, to the point where the Joker will risk death to save her, thus giving her power over him. IP: Logged |
