I think it would. But just like it was discussed in other threads before this one, Uranus on Moon can be Moon/Aqua on steroids.

Moon in Aqua may have an unusual relationship with their Mom for instance. But with Uranus in aspect to Moon , the awareness of the strangeness of the relationship could be a point of contention or have the individual act out on it a lot through resisting contact with family/mom or having a really hard time accepting her "as is"(especially if Uranus is in Scorpio)

What exactly does unusual mean? Are you saying that people who have this placement tend to be detached from the mother?

Usually, yes, but not if your Moon is parallel Saturn and Neptune.

Not necessarily always the mother. But there is a certain disruption when it comes to emotional connections

It could manifest as moving homes a lot, staying in a group/foster home, being adopted, finding out your background is different from your siblings, having a mother that is unreliable/absent, growing up in a home that necessitates early independence, a home that burns down/homelessness etc.

Whatever it is, emotional dependence is something that is usually avoided. If they become parents, their children are treated as equals and to be independent of them.

Others however choose not to have children or may even be the type to be foster parents or housemasters in group home. In this way they remain detached but close enough to give the emotional bare minimum.

I find this aspect to be challenging to love when the individual who has it ,is not aware of it consciously. They can hurt or confuse those close to them with on/off nurturing.

Moon/Uranus aspect is the Gallagher house on "Shameless".

I have Moon/Uranus=Sun. With me i see it in my confusing home dynamics dynamics which impact my identity. I want emotional self sustenance above all else.

Ok I remember when you mentioned I had Moon parallel Saturn. But I didn't know I had Moon parallel Neptune as well. So I just read about Moon conjunct Saturn and Moon conjunct Neptune?

Yes and also quite similar to Moon in the 11th house since Aquarius/Uranus/11th house represent the same archetype.

Similar in that there would be emotional resonance between somebody with Moon in Aquarius and somebody with a Moon-Uranus aspect. I find that they behave quite differently in practice however.

Moon in Aquarius will tend to analyse their emotions initially (which can make it very difficult to *feel* them).

Moon conjunct Uranus will feel through the sign qualities and then detach. Moon opposite Uranus will feel through the sign and then push away. Moon in harmonious aspect to Uranus will feel through the sign and then integrate detachment at will.

Whilst you're learning astrology you do have to find correlations, but if you observe over time you will discover different nuances and learn to recognise them.

I am Moon in Cancer so I 'step into' others' emotions which help me to explore the different experiences for different sigs and aspects. I do have a Moon-Uranus trine and Sun in Aquarius, so Uranus and I are very good friends ;-)

Moon in the 11th will have an emotional focus towards humanitarian and socially oriented groups (and charities). Whilst the house correlates with Aquarius symbolism, it doesn't really have as much in common with Uranus. The ruler of the Moon and the house always needs to be taken into account first!

I have Moon in Aquarius in the 6th house. And at times I do have a hard time feeling it's strange. Uranus also semisquares my Moon. Not really sure if semisquares actually count.

This is very interesting insights! Can you explain more what you mean by "Moon opposite Uranus will feel through the sign and then push away" ?

The moon in my chart is the most aspected planet and I have a often have a hard time differ between the nuances, meaning I'm not always sure which planets energy I feel when going through emotions, since there is so many planets contrubuting with different energies to my moon.

My moon is in gemini conj my Mc, Chiron and Mars. And it is oppo Uranus and Saturnus in sagittarius.

I'm not sure which planets energy I'm feeling the most but I guess it really depends on the emotion and which one you are channeling etc.

I think Uranus is the one giving me unusual opinions about things, things that is not accepted by the sociaty we live in, for ex, I really don't wana have children, and this is chocking for people around me, no one can understand my opinion about this. And I guess its uranus in play when it comes to this matter. Also I think uranus will help one understand complex things "intuitively", meaning, you can almost grasp a complex concept, or you really do understand it but you can't quite "explan" it, maybe because it feels to abstract etc, if you get how I mean.

My realationship with my mother is not unusual in any specific way.

I know someone with an Aqua moon, and yes, they do have a rather detached relationship with their mother - but at the same time, does care for her, even though she adds little to the dynamic, and mostly is a nuisance in their eyes.

I am wondering what you all think of Pisces moon and Aquarius moon, compatibility wise?

Hi Melinn,

What I mean is, Moon in Aquarius is detached from the start, whereas another Moon sign will feel or experience an emotion through the nature of the sign and the Uranus opposition will often cause them to choose distance.

It can actually be more confusing to witness, as for those close to the Moon opposite Uranus aspect they’ll notice that they can be suddenly frozen out or forgotten, after feeling they were building a close bond.

With your Moon being that aspected, of course the situation is a lot more complex. Gemini Moon isn’t generally an emotional Moon, they can disregard anything which doesn’t suit them, and tend to choose their focal point. However Moon-Chiron is deep and caring, there will be a desire to be there for everybody, and you’ll probably be a great listener with great patience. If somebody lets you down though, that Saturn will click in and the Uranus will detach.

Because you are very very sensitive you’ve probably distanced yourself from a lot of people over the years. Yes Uranus will always bring a spark of intelligence and a great adaptable, intuitive ability, the Saturn can help ground it also and if you can find something that keeps you interested long enough you can be very creative and able.

I’m not sure having children is a lot to do with the actual Moon sign, I do look to the 5th House ruler. Sure the Moon tells us about fertility to some degree but not necessarily the ‘attitude’ towards having a family of one’s own.

There is some truth in the Moon representing the Mother though and I would assume that your Mom is very kind, caring and extremely capable and intelligent. Of course she could change like the wind and be quite vulnerable also. In fact I would imagine you’ve seen her in many different lights over the years, but with all those Moon aspects you’re probably very close.
