Can you feel presence of wide orb like 10 degrees, or you prefer closer ones?

For what aspects -- natal chart, transits, progressions? They're all different.

For the natal chart an orb this wide is only in effect for aspects between luminaries, sun-moon. 10° is way too wide for any transits or progressed aspects.

For Natal chart.

I for example has Sun-Uranus 9 degrees orb and I can very connect with this aspect. Yes, I do have Venus in Aquarius but think it's not enough for Aquarius energy I possess.

Same with my Sun-Neptune 10 orb.

with the sun and the moon, it is felt up to 10 degrees

with the sun even to 13-14 degrees

for transits it must be very close though, 1-2 degrees, and for progressions it must be exact to be felt

OK, this with a view of the asteroids in your chart (seen http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/004028.html) give me enough information to reverse engineer your planet positions. You are definitely feeling Sun-Uranus together in parallel aspect. This is why I tell people about the declinations. Your Sun is at 23S09 and Uranus at 22S41. That is a separation in far south declination of only 0°28'. That is where the aspect is.

Yes, the conjunction of Sun 9° from Uranus can be counted, but it is their parallel in south declination that creates the strength of the aspect. If that aspect were occurring say in a sign like Libra, which is nearer the celestial equator, you would not feel it so strong at all, because Sun and Uranus would not be in parallel aspect when separated by 9° in longitude. It is because of their position in Capricorn far at the edge of the ecliptic where their declination changes only very slowly that you get a sweep of 30°+ where such parallel aspects can stay in orb.

Working with harmonic and helio
I'm a tad looser with my
Orbs. With the natals I follow
the general rule up to 2'.
At times there's a 5' allowance,
as in the upcoming Eclipse. A blog
I read allows a wider orb for
Eclipses-natal objects.

The closer the aspect the better imo. Even with declination aspects.

But if you feel a certain planet's effect as part of the individual's expression . But no aspects are close enough to explain it-by declination too, then i would look at Midpoints that square/opp /conj the Sun/Moon /Mars/Asc/Venus and Mercury.

My sister for instance has no aspects by declination or by natal aspects between Sun to Mars or Moon to Mars. But she does express the Martian energy.

Her Sun/Moon midpoint=Mars exact & Moon/Mercury midpoint =Mars close to exact.

From my experience the guidelines astrotheme uses for orbs work for me overall.
