Venus conjunct sun DW at zero degree in synastry. Sun conjunct venus at zero degree in composite. (It's a part of a sun-mercury-venus-moon stellium) Does this make the whole theme of the relationship venusian? Can these two aspects single-handedly overtake any malefic aspects?Any experience of folks here having this theme in a relationship? IP: Logged |

If they're plentiful then probably not, but this double whammy should help keep things warm or at least civilized. Does the Davison have Sun-Venus too by any chance?IP: Logged |

Thanks for the input! Yes the conjunction is there in the Davison chart too. Exact! Does that make it any special? Also moon & mercury are conjunct sun in the Davison, so there's a sun-venus-moon-mercury stellium in both composite and Davison. IP: Logged |

Nice! I care for Davisons more so this Sun-Venus thing is definitely good news to me. But what I'd get excited about more is the Sun-Moon conjunction, especially if it's not afflicted (well, hard Jupiter aspect probably wouldn't hurt). I wonder if the connection feels as complementary as it looks on paper.IP: Logged |

Thanks for the input! Can I ask why you care for the Davisons more?

A few months ago I had a...let's call it a composite chart crisis. While I still see some value in the method (as long as the chart is seen for what it is: a bunch of midpoints, which means the signs and houses should be ignored etc.), I'm way more interested in studying Davisons now. I like how tangible they are and that I can freely play with them in many ways like I do with natal charts. I guess I'm still making baby steps here but I already sense some potential and who knows, maybe one day I'll be completely sold on this technique and will decide to master it. I think this turn of events even makes sense astrologically, considering my synastry and Davison with Mr. Davison himself I can't wait to get my hands on his book which, sadly, has to wait.Speaking of your D chart again, is anything in that lovely stellium conjunct any of your natal planets or points? I'd keep the orb up to 3 degrees in this case. IP: Logged |

I see. wow, I thought composite houses did matter. For me composite always made more sense than Davison, since mid-point do hold some truth to them. But if you tested Davison and it worked, I'd start using it more. The weird thing in my case, is that both our compoiste and Davison look similar. It's kind of scary, no? So (orbs under 3): 1.D.sun/mercury/venus conjunct both our mercuries 2.D.Moon conj his both mean & true node (the moon makes a 5 orbs conjunction to the sun/mercury/venus tight conjunction that's why I didn't include it in the first aspect) IP: Logged |
