Been thinking about this a lot, as yoga has very recently been turning my life in a whole new direction (yes, dramatic, but true!)

I have the tendency to "drift" if I don't keep a strict practice with the things that ground me into who I am. In the past two months, I started a challenge for myself to do yoga every day possible at a studio I found across the street from me. I was lucky in that it is truly an incredible place, and the teachers are the most light, spiritual, wise, un-judging souls on the planet, but are still ninja teachers. They will basically hand you your ass-kicked booty on a platter with a side of incense and a "namaste."

I have always drawn a lot of strength and power from yoga, but lately I've been shocked to see how everything in my life benefits once I practice it daily. I am way more level, I don't struggle going after what I want and I feel far more connected to the neglected spiritual side of my life.

I have Sun in Cap, conj Jupiter, in 12th. I have Moon in my 8th, in Libra. I think the fact that my "power" tends to be in a quieter place in the 12th, where I can gaze inward, may have to do with it. My moon, in libra, loves balance. That 8th house craves that spiritual craziness.

What elements do we look at for this? Are there any likewise yoga-obsessed out there who have felt a superpower from it? What do you connect it with in your chart?

I am a Libra Asc. I think Libra tries to take care of themselves on all levels, which makes yoga perfect.

Yeah, I feel like my libra moon governs a lot of what I feel drawn to in life. To me yoga = all things balance, and I get a sense of fulllll satisfaction from the practice that running never did.

Also, meditation. This is obviously a huge part of it that can't be ignored. As a Cap sun, I have a hard time "letting things go", especially in my career. This is crucial and I think most of the time people who can't let go find their super humanness when they eventually do learn to. So that is my big pursuit here too

Libra Asc, you are probably such a good home-maker and super attractive. My partner has this asc <3.

I've been practicing yoga regularly for 4 years now. I have a lot of water in my chart. Sun in Cancer in the 3rd with Cancer Mercury in the 4th trining both my Pisces Moon in the 12th and Scorpio Pluto in the 8th. So yeah, my Grand Water Trine is probably a huge reason why I gravitate towards spiritual stuff like yoga. I also have an air Singleton and am a fire Void. Taurus Mars in the 1st likes slow, meditative exercises with a punch to it, so power yoga is my go-to. Mars also trines my Virgo Jupiter in the 6th, so another major reason. That Virgo Jupiter is obsessed with health and fitness.

Kundalini = Pluto. Activation of it often involves Uranus.

Outer planet transits unlocking natal potentials with Pluto; flowing Pluto transits to personal points.

I have practiced hatha yoga, but not for many years, because of a relapse (1990s) with some chronic fatigue issues and I found restorative yoga to be too boring by comparison, I guess. I would still like to get back into it, but have learned the hard way that I have to be careful with it.

I experienced kundalini activation pretty frequently a decade ago due to energy healing [during tr Jupiter conjunct natal Uranus and square natal Moon, tr Pluto square natal Asc/Pluto] and meditation practice [during tr Uranus conj natal N.Node, opposite natal Asc, sextile natal Moon & Saturn, tr Pluto square natal Pluto]

Now I only very occasionally feel kundalini moving again in my tailbone and it is not due to yoga postures or meditation.

Be very careful with this during hard transits involving any combination of the outer 3 planets. Yoga is powerful so it must be respected. People have overdone it with kundalini activation and made themselves insane. Reject any teacher that pushes kundalini activation as 'the answer.' I don't care if they're from India. Salesmanship for kundalini activation is a big red flag for a teacher to avoid. Their egos are too involved in wanting to create big dramatic results quickly. Bad idea.

This should occur naturally with basic gradual effort rather than being sought after. Some such people become something like power addicts, even deluded regarding their influence (over others). The stories about this are hard to come by anecdotes, because they are attributed to mental illness or personality changes because mainstream culture does not recognize kundalini.

Keep doing what's working for you. Hatha Yoga is fine anytime if you are physically able to do it, but dealing with kundalini activation should be handled with far greater care.

Just brought it up because Cappi112 used terms like 'super-power'. People can get kundalini/power obsessed just like they can get fitness obsessed. It's usually an over-compensation for body image or self-acceptance issues.

No reason for fear. Just make the effort with gentle care to your body's resistance rather than fighting it. Overcome the tightness and tension with gentle consistent effort over time.

Be most careful about jumping into too many challenging postures that twist and turn the pelvis and iliopsoas. Standing postures like Trikon Asana, Parivitra Trikon Asana, or sitting postures like Ardha Matsyendra, for example. You could save those for after you've opened and loosened up the surrounding muscles with easier postures. If what you want is calm and peacefulness, then do some standing stretches and finish with some forward bending postures.

If your back doesn't respond well to back bends of any kind, avoid those postures until you can do them. And even if you can do them, those postures do not need to be held very long to give benefit. Go easy enough in early stages to get the feel of the posture and settle into it better with practice over time.

The 5 Tibetan Rites has only ... 5 postures. And at least one of them has to be skipped by a lot of people in the beginning.

oh geez. Why do there always have to be negative spins on threads? haha.

I am definitely not obsessed. It would be nice not to have my text analysed. I haven't even done Kundalini, and the yoga/ meditation is for balance/ psychological serenity during what have been some stressful times in my life. It feels awesome, and like a positive boost in my days when I do it that running did not.

I am, and have always been, a fitness lover and I make exercise a huge part of my lifestyle, but I am also someone who tries to take a healthy approach to literally everything in my life. In my experience, if you are aware of yourself, you can dive into something like yoga as a holistic, physical and spiritual practice without turning into some crazed maniac.

Anyway, for the purpose of keeping this thread positive, I was wondering about those who felt healed by this practice, as I have, and can offer some of their experiences transit -wise that may have drawn them to it. Or placements in their chart. I think this is interesting.

I think that there is a HUGE difference between using yoga as some kind of portal into another realm of existence (and thereby LOSING the grounding most people like about yoga), and using yoga as a meditative, calming practice that energizes your soul and helps you breathe through tough times.

I for sure would amp up the practice during tough transits (as I am now), and it helps me sleep, eat better, and stop leaning on other ways out that are decidedly less healthy. Don't let one person's over-caution make you avoid your practice if you experience sanity and calm from yours!

I just want to add that I looked in The Crystal Bible index about releasing old emotions and a number of stones are listed for that. Among them are Fluorite and Tourmalinated Quartz, which fairly easy to obtain; Green Calcite, Opal, Rhodochrosite, Selenite, Turquoise, among others. I've got a thread in Personal Readings, Crystal/gem readings from The Crystal Bible.

My transits were Pluto conjunct natal Neptune, sextile natal Uranus; Neptune trine natal Venus. But for a period of that time Saturn was parallel my Asc.
