Can we talk about her for a minute?I did NOT like Tik Tok Kesha. But this new Kesha, and her album rainbow is a whole different person. Rainbow is healing my soul <3 If you don't know, Kesha has been going through legal battles with Sony as a result of her producer abusing/ raping her. As a fellow Pisces, I've also been through hell and back over the last few years. The Neptune/ Saturn squares have been wreaking havoc on my poor Pisces and Sagittarius stelliums. Also had my Saturn Return just before Kesha did. Come to think of it we have a lot of similarities in our charts. She has moon/ Jupiter and I have Sun/ Jupiter, and we both have a lot of Pisces/ Sag. Makes sense that when her album released, I balled like a baby. I could literally feel her pain. This is her chart according to astrotheme. Any thoughts? IP: Logged |

Wtf? I've heard her talk about her spiritual beliefs. She's not a satanist. IP: Logged |

My own interpretation of spirituality isn't important, because we all have our own. What matters is that I have something greater than me as an individual that helps bring me peace.”-- Kesha, http://www.lennyletter.com/culture/a904/kesha-is-back-with-a-new-single-praying/

“Praying” was released on Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe label. It’s a confusing and bittersweet reality—she is releasing music once again; honest, true music, but on the label run by the man she accused of abusing her. This is a song about forgiveness, acceptance and triumph, and by releasing it via Kemosabe, she’s practicing what she preaches. It doesn’t feel great, but getting her message across does. -- Maria Sherman http://www.complex.com/music/2017/07/keshas-first-song-in-four-years-praying-review
I don't keep up much with pop music these days, and Kesha did not make a good impression with me a decade or so ago when she first appeared on SNL were her overblown, high-color, auto-tuned hyperactive pop songs. I understand she has developed as an artist as she has matured as a person. Good for her. I just prefer Adele, Lorde, or Beyonce if I'm looking for singer-songwriter pop, and those three ladies don't leave much room for others for me I guess. But I can respect how she's developed and written about it. Her chart is a different and interesting matter since her mother is not absolutely certain what day she was born since it was so close to midnight: In spite of that, I think the above chart with 5° Sagittarius is probably pretty accurate. She thinks of herself first as a songwriter, and notice Virgo over the MC. Mercury is parallel it. Saturn is also square MC, and look at the contract disputes and legal wrangles she's had (as well as absent father issues). That aspect points to those types of potentials: broken home, conflicts with authority figures, especially males/mentors. North Node is also parallel that MC, indicating a career-oriented person. Also, during the time of the controversy and dispute with her producer and the legal battles, first Pluto, then Saturn were in transit parallel that Asc at 21° south, and still are. ------------------ The Declinations Guy: precise modern scientific astrology > Expert birth chart rectification > Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

@kannon thanks for chiming in! If you ever get a chance, listen to her song "Praying". It's got some Adele-ish vibes. I didn't like her old music either. Die young, in particular, bothered me by the message it was sending. I don't know much about declinations, but after reading several of your posts I've looked up mine and notice that I have Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus all between 19-23 S (and you pointed out the parallels once before) Anyway I've also been through legal battles, still going through them...What inspires me is how Kesha transferred her pain into art, and my goal is to do the same with my next book. Even though she is still bound to Sony, she radiates a sense of freedom and joy. It's really beautiful. IP: Logged |

Haha! I got a kick out of that too. He refuses to hug anyone though or take pictures with fans. IP: Logged | |
