I know Saturn recently turned direct after being retrograde since early April. I have a question about it's affect on my 6th. Last year when it was retrograding in my 6th from April to August (like this year) I noticed weight gain and then when it went direct I lost the weight and this year when it again went retrograde I again noticed weight gain. My question is whether or not this weight gain during a retrograde Saturn in my 6th is actually Saturns doing or something else. When Saturn has been direct in my 6th I notice my weight is fine.

Saturn's run through the 6th house (roughly 2-2.5 years) holds the themes of 'work' and conscious 'organization.'

The weight gain you mention is not from Saturn's influence, but from Jupiter's -- in transit square your Asc and contra-parallel your natal Venus.

Saturn relates to longer-term, deeper efforts at vocation and care of the body, etc. It particularly relates to mundane tasks of service or apprenticeship towards realization of greater ambitions later.

Its passage through the 6th house is ending a 14-15 year period of discipline and development through challenges and learning before it begins its phase above the horizon in which basis of your connections with others will change. Unsolved problems may then change the kind of person you seek out or associate with. Ungratifying work may be changed then if you've used your experiences so far to your advantage.

My natal Venus is at 19 Aries, so Jupiter has been opposing it since last October but from October to January I lost an insane amount of weight. My natal AC is at 12 Cancer so when Jupiter moves into Scorpio in two months it will trine my AC which I would think would cause gain? Back in 2014 when Jupiter was in my AC I actually lost 30 lbs without much effort when usually Jupiter in the AC would cause weight gain!

EDIT: I actually think Jupiter transiting in Libra opposing my Aries Venus this whole year could have something to do with it even though as I said. Since March when it began retrograde at 22 Libra to when it went direct at 13 Libra on July 1st I did notice weight issues. All of July I actually lost weight and then August 1st it was at 17 Libra (2 degrees from exact opposition to my natal 19 Aries Venus) and this whole month of August I've noticed I've had strong food cravings. When Jupiter hits 22 Libra on September 1st I hope it'll be far enough from opposition to my Venus that I won't get strong cravings.

It is the combined effect of Jupiter upon your Asc, Moon, and Venus. Saturn does not deal in 'gain' except for what is worked for.

Add 3° to your Asc and it will be far more accurate.

When Jupiter leaves Libra in October do you think I'll get some respite from my year-long weight woes?

It's not about the sign it's in, but the aspects it makes to your chart. And I don't think weight gain will just fall off. Look for the underlying imbalance in your life that may be creating it.

Longer-term what is going on is Pluto [21S41] in transit parallel your natal Moon [22S31]. It will last several years.

This is an internal transformation that deals in unpleasant suppressed emotions or inner drives/appetites. Feelings in general get more intense, but if you are too accustomed to suppression of taboo emotions it will be even more difficult.

The ultimate purpose of this is deep inner psychological purging, opening up a clearer expression of the real you.

So basically you're saying that weight will be an issue on my mind for the next few years. I also noticed last year in my solar return that the Sun conjunct my AC allowed me to be thin and when I did gain any weight I lost it quickly, this year has not worked out that way (not Sun conjunct AC in my solar for this year either).

No, that's not what I said. I said, "Look for the underlying imbalance in your life that may be creating it." The Pluto transit parallel natal Moon can be very unpleasant unless you deal with what's inside.

Also, is there NOTHING else that would indicate weight issues? Last year I had no problem with my weight like I said before, and any weight I gained (maybe 10 lbs) was easily lost. All of a sudden this year starting in late March I started eating more and have gained 15-20 lbs (I'm 5'3 and currently 127 which is a bit high for my liking). I hadn't gotten on any new meds nor had anything changed in my ljfe. I'm wondering if my solar return could have caused it (Solar return Sun square Solar return AC maybe) or maybe something else I'm unaware of. For some reason though, I feel like when Jupiter leaves Libra I will be able to lose the weight. From now until Jupiter leaves in October Jupiter is at 17-22 Libra which as I also mentioned in a previous comment is close to exact opposition of my natal 19 Aries Venus. I can see Jupiter being at 2 Scorpio opposing my natal 2 Taurus sun as a weight issue but I know that it won't be at 2 Scorpio for long so I'm not worried.
