That sounds exhausting

My mother has the Sun-square-Pluto and her father was abusive to her mother(my grandmother)

I think it painted a picture of the male/masculine psyche(Sun) as being something to fear on one hand(abuser), but also unavoidably attracted to for security on the other(father).

This would explain her relationship with my father(Mars-Pluto conjunction) whom is very tyrannical.

The ego(Sun) or sense of self(Sun) feels threatened and tense.There could be a need to express oneself without impositions (like Sun-Uranus) but fearing like you could be physically harmed in some way if you do(death).

So a defensive stance is often taken with regards to life either to "toughen" up and become a fighter or become vigilant to life's twists and turns.

The irony is however that most of these people become drawn to/attracted to the one thing that they fear i.e they attract or are attracted to dangerous situations or ones that will test them intensely.

In one way this could play out in having relationships with male figures(Sun) that are abusive or domineering(Pluto). Or having ambitions to become the conqueror of the world(Sun) at all costs(Pluto square).

Ofcourse this could be all a projection of the self. The former being an attempt to project self power to another and then say "look at how they are mean to me" and victimizing oneself.

The latter being more empowered and realizing that you can make a mark on the world i.e fly with eagles etc.

Like Scorpio, life/death is a big issue. How far can they push themselves? Because they feel like they are always dancing with death.Or have a relationship with the grim reaper in some way.

They know that the physical body is fragile. But they feel compelled to explore its abilities and perhaps even question mortality itself- medicine, physics, the most dangerous police departments or extraneous physical careers etc. become areas of interest for many.

These are the types who recover from Cancer and then run a marathon. Or the children you hear about who survived uspeakable abuse to graduate etc. This aspect is the aspect of the "survivor".

Life stokes(Pluto) in them the will to live(Sun). And many times situations in life seem very black and white(with little grey areas).

They may come close to death(either literally or figuratively) where they are presented with two choices;choose either to cave in or break through?

these people come across knowledge of the underlying systems so initially it might be too much for them to handle, once they learn that this lower world isn't all nice and pretty

the key is to let go, the opposite of what pluto wants to do, which is control and also obsessing over

because if these people cultivate this need to control and feed the darker side of pluto, it will repeat itself in cycles and bring about situations and/or people who are domineering and thus the person will feel that they must fight their way through life
