I keep a folder on my pc titled Famous Astrologers Real Birth Charts. In it I have collected birth data and biographies for various deceased astrologers whose charts I study for using as examples on my blog. Many of them have rounded birth times or gave sketchy or contradictory birth information. So I'm wondering what astrologer(s) of recent history you'd be most interested in reading about -- at least as to getting an accurate chart and seeing a bit of how rectification works. I've had to set aside the chart of Theosophist Helena Blavatsky for now because I ran into some snags. Her life is such a storyteller's web of claims, most of them undocumented. So I say 'recent history' to mean generally someone for whom there is enough published biography so that a rectification/chart validation is actually doable. So I'd prefer to know I'm working on someone's chart that is of interest to a larger audience and that I can get accurate biographical to back up. Who interests you most? ------------------ The Declinations Guy > Expert birth chart rectification > Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

Yes, I've recently turned my attention back to the Evangeline Adams chart. I'll only do hers once, however [edit: I won't do hypothetical charts for the different years proposed for her birth].I'm having to look up Cheiro. Okay, got him. That one may rely on being able to obtain a biography for him as the one at wikipedia is pretty brief and lacking in necessary detail. Unfortunately, no biographies on him available from my extensive local library system. However, if you know an easily obtainable biography for him let me know. Good suggestions. Thank you. ------------------ The Declinations Guy > Expert birth chart rectification > Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

Evangeline Adams seems to be the best candidate in spite of her sketchy biography. At least death date is known along with major move to NYC. The other two women whose charts I've been studying again lately (Blavatsky and Alice Bailey) were not even really astrologers, but esotericists who were astrologists at best. ------------------ The Declinations Guy > Expert birth chart rectification > Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

Have you considered Marcia Moore? Before disappearing in 1979, she wrote a book that became a favorite in some astro circles. We were studying her book in a class at the time, and everyone sort of freaked out. A couple of years later her remains were found. Definitely a strange case study, though I don't know if dates and times are available for the events you would want to know about. IP: Logged |

No, I knew nothing of her. Just had to look her up on ADB and wikipedia. I'd never read Jess Stearn's book Yoga, Youth, and Reincarnation.Interesting. I may do it. It looks like there's a pretty good timeline of three marriages plus date of disappearance. That may be enough. Thanks for chiming in. ------------------ The Declinations Guy > Expert birth chart rectification > Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

You are welcome. I have Marcia Moore's book, Astrology The Divine Science. Just pulled it out of the archive, and it fell open to her own birthchart! She also shows a Progressions and Transits chart (4 May 1971) for herself and juxtaposed charts for herself and Mark Douglas. The work includes a chapter on the history of Alan Leo.

I've decided Alice Bailey and Linda Goodman will be the first ones I tackle. I may take another look at Cheiro, but there are questions about his birth info (location). Then maybe Marcia Moore. Thanks for your suggestions. ------------------ The Declinations Guy > Expert birth chart rectification > Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |
