I've been in touch with an Ex. We've had this on and off thing for a while.
We have both established years ago that we want something serious one day, we're just trying to mature and find ourselves.
The last month we've been talking consistently. He opened up and told me how he feels deeply for me (very romantic and genuine) and that he's still very much in love with me and wants to see me BUT when he feels he can hold his own and carry through with it. No movement forward on his part. He has disappeared - haven't heard from him in a week. Isn't a big deal to me but coming from a consistent place to a no consistent place is an issue for me. Makes me feel unstable. He's not the best at keeping plans. Now my guard is up, always has been. In my mind, I see ditching plans as not caring but yet he expresses such feelings and doesn't want to let me go. I'm a Scorpio rising, I sense bs and I don't sense that when he tells me these feelings. Why has he disappeared? Regrets opening up? Lying? Scared of moving forward? Thinking I don't feel the same? He is a Cancer sun

He's disappeared because he's waiting to see if you'll miss him. I have three of these 4 placements, and I can tell you that he backed away after expressing such deep emotions because, in his mind, he has made the first step. He's waiting for you to take a step now. To be honest, Venus in Gemini really do love to be pursued and with the Cancer sun, you can be he's sidestepping slowly towards what he wants. If he's anything like me, I'm thinking he wasn't lying about his feelings. Mercury in Leo makes it a little difficult to lie to feel good about lying.
