I'm curious about this. Everyone talks about their Moon but not too much about their 4th house.

I have Cappy Mars in the 4th house and my mother is a very volatile person. I love her, but I don't LIKE her most days. She battles issues of her own, which are taken out on the people around her. Lots of fighting in my house growing up because of this. I try to help her, and have a great deal of empathy for her (Cappy Neptune also in 4th) but she is one that needs to help herself first.

I also have a Scorpio Moon (3rd house) with only positive aspects, though.

Like ^ a lot of hostility growing up
with my mother. My 4th H is Aries.
My mom was a tad immature but in defense
to her credit, she was a young mother and
pretty much alone from the beginning.

There was some hostility growing up, but it came from my brother's anger management issues instead of from my mother. My mother actually supports an entire household by herself. I see her as a very good mother though and she has a pleasant personality most of the time. The only issue I have with her is we don't share very many common interests so it's hard for me to know what to say to her, because I interact with people based on shared interests and hobbies.

My mom is independent, hard-working, and caring. She tries her best to help her children be happy. Generally, she's calm and patient too.

Pisces rules my 4th house. There's some Aries in 4th house too. For reference, my Mars is in Aries.

Wait...does the 4th house not represent the father? The 10th house being the Mother.

Both parents were irritable. My Mom used to shout a lot, my Dad was tense. I have Mars square Mc/Ic.

Dad was moody. Very erratic -Moon/Ic conjunct. He is a Cancer Sun. And I think I took after that. I need my home to wax and wane with my mood.

Mom was communicative. Mercury conjunct Ic(Her Draconic Sun is in Gemini). But she was quick to shout at us too when she was unhappy.

Dads Moon conjunct Saturn. His Mom was cold and distant to him. It carried over. She was also moody.

Mom has Sun/Pluto square. The father was very stern and strict. Not to be messed with.

Its interesting how environment shapes us as I think I will be harsh to my kids-what with Mars interacting with the Ic.

So I reckon my child will see me as harsh because of that aspect.

Cancer and the Moon rule the 4th house. Family, mostly mother.
I have Mars in 4th house and I've read a lot about it. It made me sad that I've read that it also could mean the early death of the mother. My mum died last year and I was 21.

I don't have this, but a friend does. Mars in 4th in scorpio. Their mother was very verbally abusive growing up, and would throw dishes, and pictures from the walls and shatter them when she would have her fits against her husband, who was 5x worse than her.

My mother threw breakables and plates of food. My Mars is in 4th, Aries. She was volatile to myself, her family and bfs. Sadly age calmed her down only because she limited her relationships. I believe she didn't trust herself to be eventoned. A lot f her Taurus Moon, I think made her as she was wild in that manner.
