I mean can it be difficult for a person with hard Mercury/Uranus or Mercury/Saturn to hold a job? I know someone who has Mercury conjunct Uranus and Mercury square Saturn. And it's seem like they have difficulty with working. IP: Logged |

I have a Mercury Uranus Saturn T square with Mercury at the apex and Saturn sRx...I've had times where it's been tough, but also had 20+ years of continuous employment for the same employers. The saturn sR opp Uranus in my 10th require some freedom in the type of work I do, and the squares to my Mercury demand it has some mental challenges to keep me from getting bored. It's just a matter for finding the right fit. IP: Logged |

My mom has Mercury square Saturn by 1d and mercury opposite uranus by 3d. She was a doctor in the Dominican Republic and then came to the USA and passed all the exams she needed to be a licensed doctor here and worked for a long time for the University of Miami hospital as a doctor while she taught med students who rotated with her. She is a capricorn with mercury in capricorn and suffers from anxiety and has ADHD but is super hardworking, ambitious, determined and stubborn. My mom is a workaholic in all seriousness and a leader. IP: Logged |

She is a licensed professional counselor who is very talented and great leader, long history of employment and holding jobs long term. She suffers from anxiety but manages it very well. YesI have trouble keeping jobs.. had over 15 and I'm 22. No problem getting them though, which I would speculate is more of a Mercury- Saturn thing. I am a Aquarius Moon and Mercury and they are placed in third along with my Uranus. Routine is a dangerous recipe for me. IP: Logged |

The average person switches careers 14 times in their life time research shows, I think they are counting job changes in this data. You are above average but I believe you will find something that works for you just like I believe my 37 year old partner will too even if his version of success however modest kicks in his 40s,I have to believe I will witness him happy in that area of his life at some point. I have Mercury square Uranus. The orb is 4 degrees, but I feel like I'll never have a job. My Uranus is also in 2nd house, which if I remember right indicates instability with income. This drives me absolutely nuts as a Taurus Sun, though on that note, I also have Uranus making a trine to my Sun in 6th house.IP: Logged |

hm... I am not sure if it helps me keep my job but I do get eventually bored after a year in each company on average.Mercury square Uranus by 4d and Saturn by 9d (but the orb is too wide) I am hardworking but I enjoy learning new things at work. I used to be an accountant and loved it until it reach a certain point because I was working at the same company for 2 years and it became too routine I lost sudden interest in accounting altogether. I changed my career to mobile app testing which I find challenging. It's pretty dynamic and requires learning new things such as software and ways to test to keep up with smartphone's new technology. I can work for long hours as well as long it gives me a sense of accomplishment. I am by no mean smart or even a fast learner. When I like something I stick with it and when I don't. It is done for.

I think Mercury/Uranus would be attracted to working in an environment where they are empowered as employees to have authority over their own work and only ask the Manager for advice/ backing if/when needed.Whilst Mercury/Saturn likes structure, procedure and order. And this is necessary because we need to kniw how to do things properly before learning to tweak here and there. Firstly I think you would insist on structure. But as you get with it, you will want to shake things up or come up with innovarions. This is how Uranus/Saturn work together. People tend to hate on Saturn for being the wet blanket. But Saturn is all about the groundwork and firm foundation. Its about order not monotony Do u think it the nature /nurture of the job that makes it hard to keep? In other words, is it more "what" you do than "where" you do it that matters. Or the other way around? I for instance am more about the "where" I am working rather than "what" i am doing . I love an environment that has warmth. When people are austere around mw, that wears me down. IP: Logged |

I have grown to love Saturn; it's been the making of me.I have Mercury/Saturn square (1st/10th house) and I have worked my way to a prominent position for the company I work for in a short time. I'm not an ass kisser either, just respected and get results. I think it depends on the job. Mercury/Uranus needs creative freedom; restrict this and it will negatively impact the native.

So it could be something else then? I just thought it may have been Mercury/Uranus. Since people with this aspect can be strange or weird. To me that could hinder someone in a way that they may not be able to perform well among others. Or with society whereas they may have difficulty maintaining a job.IP: Logged |

Well my mother is odd for sure and she had a hard time fitting in at the University of Miami Hospital Pediatrics Department and was targeted because of it but she did work there for many years, was a very hard worker and even organized medical missions with medical students to a number of countries abroad. In the Dominican Republic she was head of her department and there she was respected highly and started an organization for women who suffer from premenstrual symptoms. She also wrote a book and has been in radio shows etc.... She is odd bc in addition to having mercury square uranus, she has venus and mars in Aquarius so I see your point but mercury in hard aspect to Uranus does not mean you are doomed as I see it in the charts of many leaders including my mom and supervisor, it can be a great indicator of someone who thinks outside the box and is creative, someone who is good at problem solving bc they have many ideas. Like my supervisor is an art therapist, she is a visual and creative thinker, good at coming up with solutions ect, thinks quickly on her feet. I think the combo of uranus in hard aspect to mercury and moon in aries with sun in capricorn is why. IP: Logged |

Thanks for sharing the person I know also has Mercury square Saturn as well as Mercury conjunct Uranus so that could be why. I guess it could be the oddness and social issues that could be preventing this person from really being able to keep a job. Could just be the person doesn't feel comfortable working among others.
