What happens when some people hear something and get their panties in a knot for no reason?? I’ll give an example: A few months ago my husband and I flew back home from Los Angeles to Europe. While standing in line at LAX-waiting to go through check point for carry on-I see people removing belts, jewelry etc. I ask the security guard-very politely and with a smile- if I had to remove all my jewelry and answer was a short “no”. So I proceed to make fun and I said “ah good! Because it would have taken me hours to remove all these things!” Response to this was a very obnoxious look and “wow, you must be really rich then!?” and then he walked off looking ****** . So what happened here? I actually did mean it would take me hours because I have 8 rings that I can barely remove with soap, 2 necklaces and 3 bracelets that are difficult to remove. Total value is maximum $200 not incl my engagement ring. But he, for some reason, took this the wrong way. Is this purely a Mercury vs Mercury thing? IP: Logged |

This just sounds like someone who hates rich people and assumed you were rich because you actually took care to make yourself look nice. I've noticed that some people can be snotty towards you if they think you have all the money in the world (ex. Oh you're one of THOSE rich people). I wouldn't worry about it; it's his problem if he doesn't like it. IP: Logged |
