Let痴 discuss the nature of hard aspects. Some conjunctions are hard aspects such as Uranus,Pluto and Neptune conjunctions. Some are not, such as Venus and the Moon aspects. The square presents a locked in kind of struggle. I picture two dogs with a 鍍ug of war rope. Each dog pulls ferociously. I think the struggle is locked.People may disagree. With the opposition, it is kind of like a moody girl. One day, she may love to see you. The next day, she closes the door in your face. She veers from one extreme to the other. With this in mind, let痴 look at some aspects.

1. Mercury Conjunct Uranus

Mercury is the mind. Uranus is an electric and erratic energy. It is brilliant, as well, but there is a price to be paid in the hard aspects. The price for this kind of brilliance is a mind that may race like a race car on the Indy 500. Also, the person may not be able to see beyond his own worries: to see that there is hope from his own tormenting mind. This may cause hopelessness. As I always say, the degree of the orb in these difficult aspects is very important釦he closer the more intense.

2. Venus Square the Moon

This aspect is not as difficult as some on my list. However, each aspect has it痴 own kind of struggle. In this case, the person does not have a good aesthetic about herself/himself. I have seen in in women who do not know how to dress well or put on make up洋ake the most of their looks. Also, the person may be a awkward in social situations, through no fault of her/his own.

3. Neptune Conjunct the Sun

This native finds reality to be 鍍oo real. He would rather live in a musical or with a perpetual joint in his hip pocket. Everyone wants to escape, but this native may, almost, have little choice in the matter. The chart really is destiny to a certain degree. Each person has struggles and gifts. However, I do wonder if the struggles persist through life, no matter what one does. I do believe that a relationship with Jesus can overcome the chart. Yet, the chart IS our earth suit for the ride in this lifetime.

4. Pluto Conjunct Venus

In this case, the native is TOO obsessive when it comes to love. A pimple will seem like flesh eating bacteria, through no fault of his/her own. Rejection from a lover feels like death. This is a very hard aspect, perhaps one that is not appreciated enough.

5 Venus Square Saturn

Venus is our love nature. Most people are very sensitive and want to be loved. Most people feel very vulnerable when they allow themselves to love someone. Saturn is the hard taskmaster. He makes you study every pimple on your face and every flaw on your body or in your psyche. To have Saturn squaring Venus may make the native much too self critical. He/She may feel they have to be perfect to be loved. They may hide in a shell/armor themselves to avoid pain.

6. Pluto Conjunct the Descendant

This native may suppress her/his personal power and look for a partner who has a great deal of personal power.

7. Mars in the 12th House

This native may be afraid to reach for goals or afraid to express passions of various sorts, including sexual passion.

8. Chiron Conjunct the North Node

That which conjuncts the North Node becomes a life theme. In this case, pain may be a recurring life theme.

9.Nessus Conjunct the North Node

People get angry when I say Nessus is abuse. Well, one can look at the world and see abuse. The charts MIRROR the world, so why do the charts have to be so pristine *SIGH* If you come to me, I call it as it is. You should know that by now.

10. Dejanira Conjunct the MC

I have this aspect on other lists. It is, simply, a very hard aspect. That which conjuncts the MC is seen by others. I think it is awful when people see my warts. I think we all agree. The MC angle is the place which is seen by others, for better or worse.

This makes me thinking if I really have mars in the 12th house as I'm not afraid to reach any goals instead I need goals to avoid the feeling of lost and I'm always having a goal, no, I think the right word is, I always have a purpose. I don't even like breaking my own purposes, but, yeah, I do not like people know I have goals/purposes to reach. I keep it only to myself, I never talk about it even with my family/partner.

I'm also into astrology to find why I feel having a lot of sexual passion inside and in an intimate relationship I'm pretty much passionate even if I have less experiences. My bf thinks that I learn it somewhere while I don't even watch porn or sleep around or read anything about how to do this or that. I even like traditional and full of romantic passionate bond in an intimate relationship. It's just something that I feel "go with the flow" and "tune in" and I feel confidence with my sexual passion, but, yeah, I don't show it with just anyone only in my intimate relationship.

If I read about mars in 12th house in another resources, I only can relate that the downfall of this placement is that we can easily fall into unfortunate situation (as a victim) or attract abusive situation (it also says either about anger problems - having none or intense, or about addictions, it depends on the person).

Another problem with mars in 12th house I'm dealing with is if I have problems with people I don't have energy to fight back. They bark on me, I don't bark back. I tend to wait until they push me too far as I feel the energy of anger is lost somewhere. May be it's also because of my mars is in a goofy Sagittarius? I don't know. I may be an Alien too. lol.

I have this, not massively tight (4 degrees) but it's felt alright. It's a self-esteem sapper.

Like any of these aspects though, they can be learnt and understood and mitigated against - so with venus-saturn, you can learn that there are positives to this.

It is tough - but it makes you cautious, not a bad thing. You can learn to work that little it harder to prove yourself, and you can learn to say thank you when someone compliments you.

Typically though, as with all saturn, it takes maturity to get to that stage. But if you work at it, it does come.

That's interesting. It makes me think of someone I know with moon sq MC.

Would you agree that when the MC is sq the moon, then it could be somewhat similar? As both can lead to how we feel about how we present ourselves, though the other would be more collective and from a prominent social point of view.

Heart

Your Mars may not be in the 12th house, if it is within 10 degrees of the ASC.

The 4 degrees does modify the aspect, in terms of working around it, as you expressed so well.

Lalafortuna

The Moon sq MC would not involve aesthetics, as much as the heart and the career being at cross purposes/warring somehow

I only have Pluto inconj Venus. And Venus in 8th house, but even I'm super obsessive when in "love". I don't even see me being in love as love, I see it as obsession, and pain, pain that I rejoice in! haha! So I can only imagine a Venus Conj Pluto person!

Also, if ones Progressed Venus Conj natal Pluto, does it have the same intense effect on the individual?

How close is the quincunx, M? I don't think the progressed will be as strong as the natal.

3. Neptune Conjunct the Sun

I know someone with this, Sun conjunct Neptune in Sag 3 degrees apart, just yesterday he was saying now that he's older he doesn't believe in anything, he was raised catholic and now he just simply won't believe in GOD, couldn't say anything but thought it was sad he thought like that... Like a lot of things happened in his life and this is why he doesn't believe.

The quincunx in my chart is by 2 degrees, so pretty tight. Pluto at 8 degrees Scorpio. Venus 10 degrees Aries. As if my Venus would need more plutonian energy!

The progressed is not mine though, I have a friend who has that progression so I just wondered if it could have an effect on him. He has Libra venus natally.

I understand where he is coming from. I think he is still looking for God rather than succumb to a shared belief system he grew up in. Pluto/Jupiter or Pluto in 9th perhaps?

Neptune-Sun people often want the "experience" of Godhead more than just academic knowledge. A profound encounter that leaves no question pending about the nature of the universe. That is what is at yhe crux of my thoughts.

I once read that Neptune/Sun wants the cosmic blending with Godhead itself. I think this true for me. It may be everyones ideal. But with Neptune-Sun types, it rules their waking thought and breath.

Neptune-Moon seldom doubts the existence of the spiritual world(Moon in 12th too). But Sun-Neptune looks to be the embodiment of such a world. They don't want to "know" it exists, they want to "become" it.

Hi Ami,

I have 3 on this list. I do feel that Venus square Saturn has been painful at times. I do have to be careful of the tendency to be intensely self-critical.

I also have Nessus conj. NN. I notice you have not given an interpretation of this here though, and I would be interested to hear if you have gained any more knowledge on it?

I don't think it has been in dispute that the Nessus myth is typically about power, control and abuse. I think the many rich discussions we have had regarding Nessus on LL have been trying to understand who is responsible for the abuse.
Whether the native is a victim or a perpetrator, appears to be the hottest button in these discussions.

What I know for a fact is that I have not, do not, and would not abuse others.

I have Nessus connections in a few key relationships and no issues around abuse, control or power have arisen. In fact, these relationships have created a lot of healing, learning and happiness for all parties.

I feel that we must look beyond the abuse, to the message, the learning and the healing.

I am genuinely interested in how you differentiate between victims and abusers in charts where there is a prominent Nessus Ami?
