Saturn-Sun square and Jupiter-Sun square also contributes to the up/down nature of the personality.

I am not great at the Asc game. But i find that the Sun acting as the apex planet for Jup in Leo opp Sat in Aqua suggests an individual who wants to prove who they are to not only themselves but the world.

The added grand kite of Mars-Uranus(Nep) -Moon-Mercury in cardinal signs suggests the irritability spoken of. Not to mention restlessness.

I would agree with a Cardinal AC as well,
Aries
Cancer
Capricorn

not libra because they come off as peaceful and nice which wasn't my first impression of him
doesn't look like any kind of Libra suns or ACs that I know of either

his eyes though look like my sister's who also has a libra moon

this is so funny, I remember this guy as a teenager, he looked so much like my also then-teenage cousin who has an Aries sun with a Cancer AC,
and as he's gotten older, he's looking a lot like the said cousin's nephew, a teenager now, who is also an aries sun with cancer AC!
especially those puffy baby lips is what I have seen on cancer ACs

my cousin (born in 1989) has:
sun at 10 aries
AC at early cancer
capricorn moon

his nephew (born in 2001) has:
sun at 11 aries
AC at late cancer
cancer moon

so it is possible, that this guy has either AC around those degrees of aries,
or an early Cancer AC,

because these all add up, in terms of progressions, how he was similar to my cousin with an early cancer AC and with time, as his AC degree also progressed, started looking like his nephew with a late cancer AC

He does have quite rounded features a la Cancer/Pisces, however, his face is long and angular, which indicates earth to me - mainly Taurus or Capricorn. Mostly Taurus though as I have noticed Capricorn tend to have finer points to the angles, whereas Taurus tend to more 'thick' angles, if that makes sense.

that mars/anger could actually be what helped him become a professional and successful athlete!

he's become softer, somehow he's become a little shy and insecure as he's grown up!

* but he still has this attitude of "everyone is so stupid and I'm better than you all"!

he tends to be very dismissive and rather cold when someone, even his friends try to show emotions towards him; I think he doesn't like intensity, which makes me doubt scorpio as his AC

he's not the most social person, the only person who can get him to come to social gatherings, and the only person I've seen can get him to smile is his best friend who's older than him by 7 months, and has sun at the beginning of scorpio, I guess that makes for the release point of his sun/jupiter/saturn T-square, no wonder they have stuck together for years, he must be keeping him sane in some way

as I was saying, he's not easy to approach, but I will ask him his time of birth for sure, once I can befriend him! I'm sure he'll be interested in the concept of the "ascendant"! one of his favorite things to do is to wander in the nature (with the said friend) and ponder and get inspired for his art which he uses in fashion design, which I think shows his openness to matters of philosophy

I don't see him regularly either and it could be months before I get close enough to ask him personal stuff like time of birth!

I'm gonna take down the pics in a day or two, but I'll bump the thread with a pic of him again once I get the results!

Hm. Sagittarius didn't even enter my head TBH. Although, it is fitting with the 'sporty' nature, I guess.
Short-lived reactivity certainly sounds like Aries to me, although a trait I would associate more with Aries moon.

the only adult taurus person I know though is my aunt in her late 50s, but she looks like she's in late 30s, she's never done beauty operations, and I think one of the reasons her skin has remained young is her desire to go "natural" and without makeup on most of the time,
she's also married to a pisces man who encourages her interest in dance, music and good food,
I've always admired their joyful family

I guess it would have made a lot of difference if she were married to someone who put down her spirits

actually the previous thread I made with his pics posted had the title "is this an obvious virgo rising?!"

and the main reason was because I thought he looked like steve jobs (a virgo AC),

but then virgo AC people came along and said that they would never pose like this in pictures (the ones with the lifted eyebrows)

and that he doesn't have the least amount of the most obvious virgo thing: obsessiveness about hygiene and diet, he's just too chilled and relaxed most of the time (when he's not cranky), and virgos are worrying, like always

he doesn't pick on people or situations or try to "fix" them either

one of my close friends also is a virgo AC and he's obsessed about looking neat, and he's also always there to offer help, is even often taken advantage of (even though he is a scorpio sun/mars/mercury!); neither of these traits are noticeable in this guy

so this is how virgo was ruled out

Yeah, it will totally depend on the experiences and fears of the Taurus. I think there is a powerful need to control, on a par with Scorpio (ever seen those two fight - wow!). Provided everything ticks over predictably and as planned, they are the loveliest beings to be around (I'm Libra-heavy), but I have seen serious meltdowns if there is a sniff of unplanned change. I'm generalising though. I guess our fears may manifest more as we get older, no matter what sun sign we are.

and justin long has a taurus moon if I correctly remember,

although, gemini was one of the signs I ruled out due to the fact that he doesn't show much nervousness/hyperactivity, and isn't a social person

My Taurean best friend was in love with a Pisces, but he cheated one too many times and she left. She would always turn up at the door for a cup of tea from time to time though. He never truly got over her and berated himself for the next 30 years about his behaviour, but too prideful and stubborn to try again with her. Sadly she died a few months ago and he still can't talk about it.
