Ok, so I want to hear how you met your husband/wife or long-term partner? What chart was more accurate?

In Western astrology my 7th house ruler is Venus in 4th.

The placement indicates you will meet someone who is connected to your family, relatives, or that person can live in your neighbourhood or very near your home.

I know very well I can't meet someone through my family, simply cause I'm not that kind of person who nurtures family roots, keep contacts, I don't have Sunday lunches with family, I don't like it. I'm total opposition from all the people in my family and have my own world and views on everything, I'm not traditional, I don't like home life, not interested in having kids , that's just me. So I'm total opposition from my 7th house ruler Venus in 4th house. Yes, my Venus is in Aquarius, but I don't think it's enough to change that close conjunction to IC. To make it more stronger, I have also Moon in 4th house. My perfect home life is not traditional, homey partner, good father and husband with whom I will cook and decorate our house.
I don't know if I will meet someone who lives near me. In 4 to 5 months I'm leaving my home, going to work and live for some time in foreign country, more than a year probably. After that I have a plan to make some break and travel and wander for some time on some destinations I feel connected to. After that journey I will back to work but I don't know where, at the same place or another country, but one thing is clear, I'm not planning to back and work in my country. I'm not sure if it can happen, that I will meet in this period the right one until I leave, who will just come with me in that short period. Even if I meet someone and the guy would not like to come with me, I would break and leave, cause I don't want to change my plans. This is something I want.

They say in Vedic astrology, for woman, Jupiter represents your husband, Mars your boyfriend, of course you have to look at house the planet's sitting in and very important planets in 7th and its ruler's placement.

In Vedic, ruler of my 7th house is Mars in Gemini who is in 9th house. So it can describe the one very physically active person, with sharp active mind, knowledgeable, the one who you can meet in foreign land, who probably loves to travel and probably one who can be very spiritual.. My Jupiter in Virgo is in 12th house. 12th house also represents foreign land, spirituality and many other things. Another indicator that I can meet some very spiritual person there far from my home place, analytical one.

All I said perfectly describes kind of man I want next to me. I want to travel whole my life, I want someone who will understand me, the one I will have quality communication with. As occultism is very important part of my life and as I find myself much into Asian beliefs, that man surly has to be someone who shares similar interests, the one who will not try to understand me but one who will understand me.

A lot of things can happen, but I find Vedic predictions more accurate somehow, at least for me.

What's your experience?

(Didn't know should I put it here or in Vedic forum, but decided here as this forum is more active.)

I think this is a very interesting so thank you for creating it. I am not hitched so I have no examples to give of my life for you, but I look forward to the answers you receive.

What I'd like to say is not really astrology based- but I noticed how much you limit yourself by your post. There's a lot of ideas about what your spouse CANNOT be because you think it is unlikely or whatever. But these thoughts limit the avenues for Mr. Right to find you. It doesn't really matter that you are not close with your family- It IS still possible to meet someone because of them even if they do it by accident. It may not be likely, but unlikely things happen every day. It may not be likely that you meet someone overseas, just like it wasn't very likely for the thousands of couples that met overseas. You may think you want someone who has certain beliefs, but may find someone who doesn't have those beliefs, but is willing to learn about them from you. Don't worry about what is likely or unlikely as it's not your concern.

Well there is not perfection, so I'm very aware I can't find someone who will possess all qualities I value. You can't find copy of yourself ofc, but few things I find important I can't ignore, and like I said, I don't want someone totally different, the love between us can't happen. It is not just my thoughts, I experienced many times it. Some guy catch my attention for short time and after some talk I loose my interest into him. So, I don't want someone who will learn from me, but the one who will be into it himself without my influence. Yes, I'm picky and will rather be alone than with someone I don't feel connected to, so it doesn't limit the avenues for Mr. Right to find me, cause Mr. Right is not the guy who is opposition of me. And with this thoughts I can only attract energy of someone similar.
They can't do it by accident, nothing in this world happens by accident. But they can't do it anyway, I rarely have contact with my parents, and I don't have any contact with my relatives, that's one of the reasons.

So, I wanted to make comparation between Western and Vedic description as Vedic seems more accurate and it not just what I want to hear, it really makes more sense. It's not just about partner but for few other things, as some parts of my Western chart confuses me a bit while Vedic explained it perfectly, but I choose to talk about this one as people are mostly interested in this topic.

Vedic astrology to me is more telling of the type of person that you will end up with. My jupiter in Vedic is in Cancer but western it is Leo. Saturn in leo deposits in my 7th and my second house from what I remember.

My ex-husband had saturn in leo in his chart but not only that it was in Ashlesha nakstarka.( I think I spelled that right) This was what my jupiter sign was in. Saturn in leo is in the sign of Purva Phalguni in my 7th house.

In both vedic and western my Saturn is conjunct my Northern node in my 12 house. My understanding it is a very powerful chart.

I'm so into this lately, I haven't been married or anything but I'm so curious about Vedic astrology predictions... My 7th house ruler Mars in Cancer is in 10th house so I guess same I'll go for an active, leader type of guy and according to Vedic 10th house means that I'll get married for other reasons besides love which I do believe I will, I'm more into feeling secure also love but for me marriage is a partnership. Jupiter sits on my 7th house and supposed to be a good thing, well balanced husband and that wealth may come with that partnership.

Western 7th house ruler Venus sits on 8th house, I think they say is kinda the same, I'll earn more on that partnership than alone or something like that.

I asked, I think it was March or April this year, two Western astrologers when and how I will meet man with whom I will start an long-term relationship. Both said it will be in around Autumn time, something will definitely start to happen in October and that end of this year will mark end of my loneliness. It will be someone I meet through common friends.

I asked yesterday Vedic astrologer the same question. I got answer, how I will meet that guy next year in june or july on journey or through some common friend.

Interesting how I got two totally different answers, but same answers from both western astrologers.

At the moment, nothing really is happening. Here is November and still didn't meet anyone that drew my attention. I was very outgoing from the summer til the end of October. More with friends than at home, of course not cause of this predictions. But still nothing, I only attracted some ignorant people.

At that time around june/july, I will be far from home, in march or april will go to work in foreign country and have no idea how long I will wonder and where.

I'm not saying Vedic astrologer was completely right, I don't know that, maybe tomorrow I will meet someone, but for now it makes more sense to me somehow.

As I'm myself into astrology for years and predicted many times some happenings in my chart, still don't think I'm totally professional and also love to ask astrologers and learn through their answers. For example, if they tell me period of some happening, I will check it myself to see transits and find myself out how he/she saw it.

I noticed how Vedic astrologers are much more accurate when it comes in date predictions.

For example, I asked at the beginning of this year few Western astrologers, will I travel a lot in my life and when they see possibility of an longer journey.
One said to me how I will surely have chances to travel through my life, but can't say me exact period, it is up to me to recognize the chance. (I knew it myself that traveling will be important part whole my life, I have Mars in 9th and it's co ruler of my Ascedent).
The other gave me same answer but said how one big journey is possible from the next year.

Vedic astrologer gave me few dates, including june, august and september, and told me that in march next year I have possibility to go on some very interesting trip and it will be one nice experience.

I wasn't traveled in june but I did in may, before that I traveled in april. I wanted to travel in june and august but couldn't make it cause of few reasons. Then I traveled two times, at the end of september and at the beginning of october. When it comes to march next year, I already talked about it, and I wasn't planning to travel that month cause of his words, but cause it't the first favorable month cause of money and few other things.

So, that's why I'm fascinated with Vedic predictions, it's still very new system for me as I've been into Western astrology for years, but it started to draw my attention more and more.
Far from that I want to say how Western astrology is not correct, but seems like Vedic is far better for details.
