I did some little bit of researching about the last degree a planet falls in and it has a name (anaretic degree). In theory, you pick up negative traits of the next sign.So I'm thinking... that would mean I pick up negative traits of a Scorpio moon. That doesn't sound good at all! I am trying to understand myself more. I do shut down when I feel rejected and isolate myself. Does anyone with similar placement experience this? Is your moon in the last degree and do you feel you can relate to the next sign? In a positive way? How do you channel it to something positive if it was negative?

My Moon is at 28 degrees of Pisces, I'm heavily water to begin with so I've always considered myself Pisces Moon though recently been researching about Aries Moon which I feel sometimes I can have the bad traits of Aries Moon I'll be honest, I've heard when hurt Aries moon can be aggressive, scream, break stuff and I can be like that... I disagree with this notion based on only degree. Moon would have to be truly on the cusp, partly over into Scorpio for such a thing, and it would express itself as partly Scorpionic in the overall sense, not just negative qualities.. Moon's position is measured from the center with an apparent diameter of about half a degree (0°30'). That means right on the cusp it can be 15' still in Libra and 15' over into Scorpio. However, most of the time it won't be a true cusp position, but will be what is best termed 'cuspy.' That means one subconsciously senses developmental change within themselves towards a new mode of being/feeling and may not show/feel the steady Libran mode. However, this does not mean the person begins to pick up traits of the next sign, which Moon is not yet in. It means change is sensed and this can exacerbate indecision and dilemma, as with any 'cuspy' condition. Edgar Cayce talked about this and said it was a "Uranian" condition (Uranus like unpredictability and changeability). ------------------ The Declinations Guy - Expert birth chart rectification Clickable Rising Signs> ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

I do this but I have no idea how I am going to react to a situation, I either shut down or explode. I have to give myself space to calm down then I can talk things out rationally if I have gotten angered or hurt. I think this could be the Libra scales for a Libra moon, they say that Libra is balanced but for a Libra moon I think it means finding balance because if the scales are tipped silence or explosion. My moon is in the 10th degree I think but is also conjunct to my pluto. Intensity is an understatement. IP: Logged |

@areesquivel Thanks for sharing this. The more I study my natal chart the more I am confused. I am learning there's is so much to consider for my intensity. lol@Kannon McAfee I think I get what you are saying. If it is at 0 degree then it is a true cusp? I will definitely check out Edgar Cayce. Astrology seems fascinating as there is so many things to learn and I am trying to understand what can be integrated my study for astrology. For example: singletons is a good one. @colorful butterfly I too have a Pluto conjunction but it is 7 degrees orb. With luminary I do feel it at times and its no picnic in the park. @girlwiththerainysoul Thanks for your input. IP: Logged |

I don't get why we pick up negative traits of the next sign if we've got a planet at the last degrees of a sign... Could you explain ? IP: Logged |

I don't have my Moon there but Sun is 29 Sag.I think it represents the dragon tail plunging Gandalf into the abyss in "Lord of the Rings" i.e it has a very "unexpected" quality to it. Much like what people would call "Uranian". The other is that one tends to feel "stuck" almost perpetually. Like unable to move forward but also not desiring to back. A feeling of being tired but not being able to rest or sleep. No relief. IP: Logged |

my boyfriend has his ascendant at 29° virgo his midhaven at 29° gemini his sun and pluto at 29° libra (w/ mercury at 24° lib and saturn at 6° scorp)you could argue that my bf carries negative traits of scorpio, 😆. hard to say whether thats just his saturn of not. as someone with scorpio moon im not even sure what the good qualities of scorpio are, lol. I wonder if this rule affects the angles? Ive read the antartic and 0° are critical degrees. that an antartic means the planet is weak in that sign and 0° is at its most potent. That critical degrees in general are points of tensious energy difficult to resolve. of course it would make sense for an anaratic degree to relate to the next sign given progressions. I'm not sure it really carries traits of both. either way i'd like to learn more about them. IP: Logged |
