So it suddenly occurred to me at the weekend that I quite like the idea of a man in uniform - specifically one that shows a sense of service or self-sacrifice, for example the armed forces and firefighters.

For me, it shows a level of compassion. But this isn't covered really by the classic sun and mars attraction factors for those looking to attract men - and it occurred to me that this could equate to my moon placement.

My moon is in the sixth house, the house of service, and I definitely appreciate and have a sympathy for acts of bravery, courage and compassion - possibly highlighted more as I have moon in leo.

So yep, on a base level, guys look good in a uniform (I know it's a cliche, but still) - and that physical attraction could be partially my mars in leo on the prowl for some pride, but I think the deeper attraction could be linked to the moon.

What do you think? Does this work for you?

Eg moon in taurus, in 4th house - would love someone who can cook and nurture; moon in sagittarius in 10th house, might by emotionally attracted to someone who travels to far-flung places for work?

Are you looking to attract men, women, or a combination?

I'd love to know your thoughts here!

I don't know. I mean sure it's possible, but from what I know, most women have a thing for men in uniform, in general. It could be specific for you, but in the same way a lot of guys will have posters or calendars of bikini babes, a woman will likely really enjoy looking at a man in uniform.

It's generally pretty typical, for various biological and psychological reasons. In many liquor stores here, supermarkets, sex shops, tobacco stores, cafes, there's shelves dedicated to the fantasies of both men and woman, and for women, it's often men in uniforms, soldiers, pilots, and firemen are a popular one among many ladies.

There could be something to it for you, though.

For me? I can't say if it's moon related, and doesn't seem so for me. I'm indifferent in a lot of ways

This is very true - but it's never really applied to me before, it just hit me randomly at the weekend as my close friend is a reservist, but it was seeing some firefighters on a fundraiser that made me think - now there's some men who care about each other. Was a totally random realisation as I'm not really into a looks-first thing as a rule.

It could be partially my mars-jupiter conjunction in leo-virgo as well though - I'm physically active and need a partner to be too otherwise I'd go stir crazy stuck in the house for all eternity.

People have said before that moon in the 6th can mean an attraction to the health services, and yep, a doctor would be nice (ha), but maybe in my case, the leo element colours that more towards the courageous services.

Or I could just be completely cliched I don't know, that's why I thought I'd ask!

Where's your moon lalafortuneae? Can you see it in your emotional attraction wishlist?

It could just be ironic? Im not sure. But I believe what you are attracted to has a lot to do with your personality. Since your moon and house is a part of who you are you may tend to gravitate towards someone you feel fullfils that part of your life?

I like caring, calm, laid back, understanding, wise men with similar outlook and morals on life as me. I have a special thing for guys musically inclined. I dont know if that has to do with my moon, sun or mars. My moon is in Aquarius in the 12th house.

I have moon on my 5th house cusp and a guy that is connected to their inner child and the artistic types tend to be my type and what I attract...creative types with a good sense of humor essentially who are also intellectual.

I have never dated a guy who is into sports, I end up with the artists and intellectual types.

I also have venus and mars in Leo disposited by sun in Virgo which is disposited by mercury in virgo.

Moon in 3rd.

Am ideally attracted to intellectuals. But I date more of the Venus in 7th-socialy gracious types.

What about Moon in the 1st house? What would they be attracted to?

I ask this because I'm not sure if Moon in the 1st makes you more Cancerian or Arian like?

That is a great question. May depend on the sign as to how it is expressed?

I have no idea if it works for me. In fact, pretty much all my exes had different personalities and very few similarities. Astrologically, it is a bit difficult to pinpoint trends regarding what I tend to be attracted to, because I don't have astrology charts for everyone I've dated, thus I can't say with any accuracy if my Moon's house placement has anything to do with the men I attract, which may arguably be a result of me not defining what I wanted when I was younger and never considering whether any past partners were really my type. For some reason, I used to struggle to define what kind of man I wanted.

Anyhow, my Moon is in 8th house. Honestly, the most I can figure out from this in relation to the topic is this might explain my interest in Scorpios, but I think Scorpio is an overrated zodiac sign. Then again, Walter Pullen's simple chart delineation on Astro does claim that my boyfriend is Plutonian and my ex has a few placements in Scorpio. Truth be told, there could be something to this.

I imagine the moon plays a role bc is your emotional needs but mars also plays a role bc is what you find attractive in a man so that could be why you attract different types, add the DC to the mix and the angles in general

Like I attract scorpios too, my AC and Pyche are in scorpio and my Venus conjunct Mars in Leo and moon in pisces feels scorpio matches my passion....But love air signs bc they are intellectual and light, Shrug LOL (I am a walking contradiction)

So many factors...

I think is cool that you don't have a "type" you attract, it shows you are more flexible and open minded. I tend to more fixed in that regard and I like that you are not, I respect that.

What sign is your DC on?

I agree scorpios are over rated, I like them dont' get me wrong but all signs are cool in different ways.

Yes, Stellia, you are correct. I've noticed the same thing.

I would disagree that Moon isn't covered in classic attraction synastry. It is. However, much was lost in translation. A female is suppose to own her Moon/Venus and project her Sun/Mars. This does not mean she's looking for her own Sun/Mars. No. A woman is most attracted to the Sun/Mars in a man's chart. Simply put, if a Woman has Moon in Libra, Sun/Mars in Pisces, she will be most attracted to a guy with Sun in Libra, not Sun in Pisces. This, because he represents the masculine half of her feminine planets.

SHE is moon/venus, and is looking for Sun/Mars...NOT her own Sun/Mars, HIS. The opposite is true for guys.
