They means almost the same, the type of family/mother but I'm not sure if they are the same, I'm guessing no... IP: Logged |

I think that Moon in Aries is more similar to Moon in the 1st house while Mars in the 4th house is more similar to Mars in Cancer. IP: Logged |

I'm not agree with that. Moon in 1rst house is similar to Moon in Cancer. That happens with all the planets in 1rst house, they get the traits of the sign ruled by that planet. I'm sorry if my english is not really good . Thanks for your reply. IP: Logged |

I have Aries Mars conjunct the IC so between the 3rd/4th house and I must say I relate to Mars in the 4th house interpretation.I was a raised by a single mother who happens to have Cancer Mars and really encouraged independence - but also very protective of me. I'm very protective of my family as well, especially my sisters. I also have Moon in the 3rd H - which tend to make you closer to female relatives and have a more sisterly relationship with all women in general - definitely true. My sister has Aries Moon in the 1st house and there is something much more raw and immediate to her emotional responses than let's say My Aries Mars on the IC - since it relates to roots and not necessarily a emotional response. Hopefully that makes sense. IP: Logged |

We have to agree to disagree then. 👍🏼 In my opinion planets in the 1st house get Aries like traits. The 1st house is ruled by Aries/Mars. Moon in the 4th house would be similar to Moon in Cancer though. IP: Logged |

Well, it's not just my opinion, it's what I've learned these years. Someone with Venus in 1rst house is charming, nice, has beauty somehow. (Libra) Someone with Moon in 1rst house is moody, very emotional, has a lot of intuition. (Cancer) Someone with Mercury in 1rst house talks a lot, is curious. (Gemini) So... Something similar happens with the 10th house. Those planets in these houses can have Aries-Capricorn traits but mostly, they are like the sign ruled by that planet. IP: Logged |

Moon in Aries Moon in 1st Mars in 4th Aries on the Ic Mars-Moon aspect Mars aspect the Ic Mars in Cancer Mars/Moon midpoint in Aries Mars/Ic midpoint in AriesThese people all share similarities. Moon in 1st has both the rawness of Aries as well as the sensitivity of Cancer. That is why they move from being emotional to defensive very quickly. Planets in house 1 ime are raw in their expression- even Venus there has an instinctive approach that is more infantile than mature i.e external impressions being above all in importance. Saturn in 1st projecting a serious outlook in order to be received as "mature" etc. Aries is primal, raw feelings. Either of anger or excitement. Unfiltered and unapologetic. The energy of Mars vibrates to those raw feelings-hence the association. So Mars/Aries/1st house can be synonymous in their approach. They all can't help but "keep it real" . In my family it is no coincidence that Mom has Mars in Cancer, big Sis has Moon conjunct Asc ,Little Sis has Moon in Aries,Dad has South Node in Aries conjunct my Asc and I have Moon-Mars-square/Mars square Ic. There is a thread of raw emotions in us all. And sometimes its best if we all don't get together because things can get really crazy.

Hmm I think they're quite different. Moon in Aries would make a person express and feel emotions like an Aries. They are blunt, impatient, passionate, aggressive and independent. They portray emotions in that way. Aries in the 4th house would deal with your home and domestic life, etc you may be very protective of your family. You may be carrying but sometimes it's perceived as a bit overbearing. You desire to take action in domestic relationships. Mars in the 4th house would mean you are quite temperamental in dealings especially in domestic family matters. Usually it is said that it signifies someobe who had very strict and authoritatian parents. ------------------ I appreciate the masterpiece that is you, because your existence alone is art IP: Logged |

The main difference, I think, is probably the energy that gets expressed. Moon in Aries would be expressed on an emotional level as aggression and perhaps protectiveness over the people the Moon in Aries care about. The Moon in Aries would be very driven and short-tempered. Aries in 4th house would probably have an aggressive childhood of some kind. This could manifest as anger issues somewhere in the family or just a family trait of protectiveness over each other. And Mars in 4th? I'm still trying to understand this placement in regards to how it manifests for me personally. Mars in 4th house is a bit of a complicated placement for me. While I can somewhat see my other placements, my Mars in 4th house has always been a struggle for me to comprehend since I first attempted to rectify my chart. Someone more professional rectified my chart and it's still in 4th house, but I don't understand how my Mars is placed there. Maybe it's something I'll understand better when I'm older. IP: Logged |

Thanks for your reply! The only thing I'm sure is that they all have a similar 'type' of family, especially mother. I have Mars in 4th house and my mum was a very dominant woman, sometimes aggressive, easy to make her angry, energetic... you know, Aries traits. Also I remember a lot my chilhood and adolescence with 'fights', mostly between my parents. IP: Logged |

My mom isn't very dominant or aggressive. It's not easy to make her angry and she's not that energetic either. She does, however, make most of the decisions. She's very responsible and motherly. My dad is pretty aggressive and easy to make angry though and my brother also has these traits. I'm not very dominant myself, but it's pretty easy to push my buttons and make me angry. Any "fights" were usually between one of my parents and my brother. That said, my parents are divorced. They actually seem to get along better that way, which is quite rare. I know that most people that get a divorce don't usually want to maintain contact with each other. If I had to guess, maybe Mars in 4th house is more of a representation of how I'll be if I become a mother. I could be more in touch with my Mars than most women and I just don't realize it yet. I have Cappy Mars in the 4th and I grew up the exact same way. My Mom is an Aries Sun! With her Virgo Moon in the 1st to boot. I fought with her quite a bit growing up and still do to this day when we get on each other's nerves.

I don't think it necessarily has to attach to one parent or the other but it can indicate a volatile household. My household was definitely volatile growing up but I hope that doesn't carry forward into MY household when I establish one. With my Cappy Mars in the 4th I think it adds a passive twist to the strength of my Mars, and I also think wherever Mars is located in the chart is where we expend the most energy (naturally) so in the 4th house it would be all things home and family related. For me home is where I love to be and I can be very productive around the house. I spend a lot of time building and caring for my home base. IP: Logged |

Mars in 4th here. Volatile household for sure. Used to get into fist fights with my Dad. Mom is very energetic, also one of the most courageous( if not the most courageous) person in my life, very loud too and dramatic when she's pi$$ed off( Leo Sun). Her Mars is either in very late degree of Libra or in early degree of Scorpio. I grew up in an angry environment so I'm pretty comfortable with anger, expressing it and channeling it. Credit goes to my parents I think for letting me throw temper tantrums instead of suppressing it. I can't relate to this whole 'being attached to home and putting energy into works involving land, home, family' thing though.IP: Logged |

I don't think my household was ever volatile. My brother has anger issues, but mostly everyone gets along and my brother isn't always angry. My parents suppressed temper tantrums. For the longest time, I wasn't comfortable expressing my anger, probably due to how my brother was growing up and my depression muting the expression of my anger thus causing my anger to become rather suppressed. In November 2016, all that suppressed anger rose to the surface and I was forced to experience anger for a relatively lengthy period of time. I managed to avoid breaking things somehow, but now I'm also more comfortable expressing my anger and anger by itself doesn't scare me as much as it used to. quote: Originally posted by anonymidarkness: I can't relate to this whole 'being attached to home and putting energy into works involving land, home, family' thing though.
I'm with you there. I don't relate to this either.IP: Logged |
