What astrological things cause a child/teenager to have a narcissistic and psychopathic parent in their life? Or at least before they cut all contact with the parent (s)?

Asteroids Sado, Nessus, Dejanira and Nemesis. Some things one, simply, cannot see without asteroids, in my opinion.

I would check Moon (mother) or Sun/Saturn for father and analyze the house of each along with their hard aspects. You can also check the 4th/10th (in Traditional Astrology, 4th house represents the father while 10th represents the mother, modern astrology has reversed the two) and see if there are any malefics or if the IC/MC axis is harshly aspected. There isn't really one placement that would point to this type of relationship, so it's important to check the whole chart and all the points that relate to archetypal astrology. Off the top of my head simply from recent analyses- Moon in 12th can represent a mother who is not emotionally nurturing and may use the child as a crutch; Saturn RX can represent an absent father; Pluto in 4th can represent a destructive upbringing; etc.

Now I know why I hear some 4th/10th house for the mother, and some 4th/10th house for the father.

Agree with Rebecca

Check the Moon aspects as well Mc/Ic aspects. A difficult upbringing may be illustrated either by aspects to the Moon or planets or aspects involving the Mc/Ic axis.

Strong Pluto or scorpio. I have 2 neighboors, they were a xouple but split up. 40+ years old. With 3 children and 4 dogs. I have never in my life seen irl such a... I can't find the words for it but both the father and the mother was very verbally abusive towards their children. They were totally lacking love and empathy. And sh would yell such hurtful things to her children. This is unheard of in Sweden (they were swedes). In sweden you always have self controll towards your children. If you wanna hit or yell at your child, you do it behind closed door.

Also they had perfectly trained dogs, but they would hit their dogs even if the dog just put a small tension on the leash. They would smack the dog in the head oreven strangle the dog by straddling over them, I mean the audacity of doing this in public! Its really unusual in Sweden if the person is ethinically swede! I was so tired of hearing the yelping dogs, yelping because of pain. And that smacking sound when they hit their dogs on the head. My bedroom window is facing our backyard that is sorrounded by forest, and they took the dogs out there for them to do their bussiness. It was horrible the smacking sounds yelping sounds. I tried to get that on camera because inspectors would not believe they were being abused. The dogs looked perfectly healthy and she was going on competitions ith one o the dogs, obidience competition. It was a doberman..poor dog but I was unable taking any photage back then.

And I said something like "what are you doing!" in one occasion. But I was too young and I had an outdoors living bunny, I was scared they would do something to my bunny as a revenge. Yes, I was a covard and I feel so bad for this even years after. They moved away a couple of years ago. Now days I'm more alert and act if I see something like that!

I'm sure they smacked their children too behind closed doors. The mothers hurtfull words were far more worse then being hit I tell you that!

In sweden we can look up peoples birtdays and addresses (wtf right?) so I looked theirs up. They had pluto-scorpio going on. Have to look it up again, I was a newby in astrology back then.

I'm super plutonc too, but I would never ever abuse a poor animal or a child like that! It sickening!

At times I've experienced my mum as this way (she's been good in other ways and nothing overtly alarming. We've also found a way to translate to each other and have a decent bond now). I think that I've characteristics of both myself is the strongest indication of being In that environment..

Anyway, Saturn conjunction mc is the strongest identifier of anything like I've read and which is in my chart.

I've also nemesis con Jupiter (cancer, 8th) opp moon in sag

Not knowing about the mc/ic, I'd wondered if Neptune conjunct my moon indicated it even tho that seems counter-intuitive. But the raising of others on a pedestal, merging quality seems to describe the relationship. I'll also never forget kerosene pointing out that this aspect can be so trusting, believing, dreaming that it can tip into the opposite. like it's destined to reach for an idealised bond with others and sometimes slip into some other detached very unhealthy way of relating. It could just describe people drawn to narcissistic and psychopathic but then again I think that draw is a replaying of a familial thing so a possible indicator

I didn't know Saturn Retro was an absent father. That is interesting.

Ah! The “behind closed doors” behavior that is very...umm....widespread in Sweden :-/
Safe face, and lie as much as possible, while surrounded by others and then when home? BAM
2 faced fuc****!!

Yes it most be horrible. Thei oldest is now 19 years old girl. The other a younger boy. And the have a 7 years old girl to. All of the kids were so sweet but dunno how they feel now.

Haha Charlie indeed! Its really two faced here!

Also I have to say my mother is a screamer too, she gets upset easily and angers easily. BUT she is not you know, revengeful or saying things to hurt one. She is a very sensetive and carng mother, with anger issues, and she would never hit us. Ones she gets her anger out she can forgetande her nice sef.

But this woman, she was ice cold and calculating and one could see she really ment all he horrible things she said with huge menace. I ones heard her say terrible stuff on the cell phone to about one of ourneigbors kid, he had aspergrsorati rsomthing, very sweet boy who liked play on the back yard totally absorbed in his own world. On hasto be really evil hearted to say such stuff abouut such a kid!

cant find the fathers astro
But hers is:

Sun mercury in Scorpio
Venus in Capri Opp Saturn and Nessus

Mars and moon in aries

Pluto in libr square her Venus and Saturn and Nessus.

And Mars oppo Uranus. This I have too and have say it makes a woman extremely irritable and prone to explode like nitro glycerine.

Also I have seen that Pluto in contact with Saturn can give the person sadistic tendensies!

My dad has been actually diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder... (my dad's whole family is filled with Narcs, Psycho and Sociopaths...)

Also, my mom enabled him and wasn't there for me b/c she was constantly feeding his needs.

Which I should probably just post my chart... but if you can explain to me how to post it in the thread I will do it!

But, in an overview...

Sun conj Neptune (Neptune rules MC) in the 6th/Sag
**this totally explains my ability to be co-dependent in these relationships

Sun (Sag/6th) squ Saturn (in 4th/Virgo)
** conditioned to repress feeling, thoughts, needs
Merc Rx in 6th/Sag squ Saturn
** was not allowed to talk and a repeat of what I put for Saturn squ Sun
Merc Rx squ MC (Pisces)
Moon (12th/Tau) opp Uran (5th/Scp)
** was in a place of always feeling off centered and crazy from the emotional hell from this
ASC opp Mars (in 7th/Sag) both in the 29th degree
** attraction of abuse... people wanting to control/manipulate me
IC conj Saturn (In 4th/Virgo)
** so much control and repression at home... walking on eggshells.
Venus (5th/Scp) conj Uranus (5th/Scp)
** showing how this is playing out in my romantic relationships with Mars in my 7th
NN (4th/Virgo) squ Neptune and Sun (Sag/6th)
Saturn in the 4th/Virgo
**never felt safe at home/with family... always felt out of place.
NN in 4th/Virgo (definitely working on this now)...

There is other stuff... but I'm tired...

And a big fat Boomerang Yod with Moon as the apex (all on the 18-19 degrees).. freaking Yod, ugh...

Moon (Tau/11th/12th house) opp Uranus and Vertex (Scp/5th/6th)
Pluto (Lib/5th)
Sun (Sag/6th)
Nept (Sag/6th)

Yup, usually a family member, or members, enables the narcissists' bad behavior.

It's sad, but it's true. One of my friends has both narcissistic parents, and I've met her parents. Both very full of a false inflated sense of self. No one in her family helped her.

I helped her by listening to her and emotionally supporting her.

disagree. you should keep the chart simple and clean. why would you even look at the asteroids before analyzing the luminaries, Saturn and the IC/MC axis in this particular case? that doesn’t make any sense.

and i agree with Rebecca of course.
