And you reminded me of something I learned. Hawaiians consider non hawaiians, or white people "haole", which translates to "breathless". To them, having breath means being soulful.
Anyway, it is according to Hawaiians I know. They mentioned breathing heavily, or making "h" sounds meant the person was spirited.

Thinking of it, plus many of the people I've met from countries where saying "H" wasn't common, it seems to ring true. People who don't use H in their language always seem more disconnected in some way. That's just my own subjective experience though.

There's also the fact that breathing heavily stimulates nerves and encourages more brain activity. Hence meditative practices and breathing exercises.

- Do they breathe through mouth ? A world-class mouth-breather used to sit behind me in class once upon a time, and I could hear as well as feel(ewwww) his breath. I felt like sealing his mouth with a duct tape but maybe that'd have killed him if something was stuck on his nostrils and preventing him from breathing through nose. I also used to be a mouth-breather for few years so eh...I could sympathise with him........a bit.

Idk. I worded that weird and probably overthought it.

I guess maybe what I’m trying to say, rather than it being simply because they’re anxious, or feel out of control, it could just be them trying to keep themselves in check..? I have a lot more I could add to that, and a few other perspectives to it as well.. but I’ll leave it at that for now and see what other’s thoughts are on that first part.

yeah I think this is an important factor in their type of breathing

most my exes had sun, moon or AC in scorpio, and I remember when they witnessed someone overreact or do something childish or stupid, they would start heavily breathing in and out; the AC ones breathe very loud in such cases

I have also noticed that under-developed scorpios use teeth-clenching instead of heavy breathing in situations they can't control

I myself have sun opposite scorpio pluto exactly and since early teen years I started practicing yoga and controlled breathing has been part of my life since,
it's a very nice and relaxing technique

I notice this in two Scorpio risings. They both sneeze and blow their nose a lot too due to allergen or irritation. Same reason: Lack of sleep brings out the worse condition of their sinus. I find it odd how can a single rising sign indicate this.

I was also noticing,
how taurus people have a heightened sense of smell, and are often sensitive to all kinds of them,
and since scorpio is the sign opposite, we may expect something similar (but in another form, often the opposite, and thus difficulty in breathing)
