My Mars conj Asc has been rather volatile for awhile. That’s putting it mildly! I *think* he moved within close range of Pluto in Progressed too and I’m fairly certain they are parallel in natal as well at 11degressN.
I just have these enormous aggressions towards people nowadays and tolerate VERY little from anyone.

I used to have “time” for yoga/meditation-and it did help- but now it seems to bore me to tears and if I get through 10 minutes of it, it’s been a good day.

Any advice on how to put a damper on this???

No advice, because I'm feeling the same way!! And I will add that this isn't the normal Aries temperament. I wasn't an angry person, for a good portion of my life.

Mars is about to conjoin my Uranus/ascendant, and has been opposed my Aries. I also have progressed Mars moving closer to oppose my natal Pluto.

I don't know how much stock to put into any of that, though. Mars isn't always the problem. I get annoyed at times, because Mars and Aries are always blamed, and I'm at the point where I'm just in a good mood, bad mood, or going through something. Ditto for everyone else.

Pluto has been the big one for me. Pluto can be explosive, and it's long-term... not like Aries reputation. I haven't been a happy bunny for a long time now, and it's because my life has been slowly torn apart.
(occasionally blown apart - hello, Uranus/Pluto!)

Same here, only my Mars is in Pisces. Pluto has been squaring my Mercury on and off, for almost two years now - I don't know if I'm going to make it past the aspects to my Ceres/Chiron/Sun, too.

Count to 10.

I have Pluto on my natal Mars. Its a lot of energy.

The other thing to do is ask yourself " is this a matter of death?"

Just walk it off! I have natally Mars conj Moon and also Oppo Uranus. I can get really riled up and angry. 4 things helps me and they are not in orderly fashion:

1- I go into my room and watch a movie or tv-series. Calms me down very fast.

2- I take a power walk outsoors or I run by the lake.

3- I cry it out. Yeah I cry when I get angry!

4- Prayer, or if you prefer meditation.

But usually it's best to keep your body moving physically, running and walking outside is the best way to turn that energy so it won't pent up inside you

As to the astrology, I see no Mars-related aspects anywhere near culmination in your progressions or in transits that have been ongoing for a while. So I remind you it is Pluto, a measure of the contents of your unconscious and of your Strength to keep urges of power in balance.

Pluto 18° Capricorn transits conjunct your natal Moon 15° . Plus:
- Pluto & Saturn transit contra-parallel natal Sun and Venus [22° North]. -
- Progressed Sun [11N55] has moved into tight parallel to natal Pluto [11N53].

It is also possible you have done enough yoga and that it has actually released kundalini that you are not keeping in balance. Maybe try something more physically exerting to disperse excess energies.

From Robert Hand's Planets in Transit:

quote:

Pluto conjunct Moon

This transit signifies a time of extremely powerful emotional change in your life .... feelings evoked are raw and urgent. You may be surprised at the intensity of some of the internal forces that you will discover, and making yourself deal with these feelings may be the most difficult part of this transit.

Pluto signifies breakdown and reconstruction while the Moon signifies your innermost personal life, which you usually depend on to be stable, predictable and supportive as you face the external world...

... change that activates complexes within you that have lain dormant since childhood. You may repeatedly find yourself in situations in which you act as a compulsive child rather than a rational adult. The problem is that your "rational" adulthood has never dealt with these repressed energies ...

He mentions outer manifestations of this transit's energies can also be home renovation, power struggles, digestive troubles. My added comment is that all biological life forms must eliminate waste and toxicity, even at times requiring a purging -- emotionally or physically. We have a choice whether to purge that toxic stuff or use it as a kind of dysfunctional energy.

This frames what you are feeling emotionally as suppressed feelings --
anima, animus -- erupting from the unconscious and possibly physically as irritations, toxicity, or obstructions in the liver/gallbladder. Problems there will be felt as tightness near the solar plexus/chest, possibly with burning, pinching pains, or pressure.

Get a medical scan (ultrasound) of that area to rule out anything physical. Blockage in that area can and does lead to irritability, restlessness, temperament irregularities, even rage. (I know, because in the last few years I've been through the same transit and discovered I had a small polyp near the neck of my gallbladder that I have kept under control with herbs and will be eliminating with other herbs.) Until you can get scanned, I highly recommend you drop all fried foods and reduce your dietary fats to the minimum healthy requirements and see if you feel any relief.

For more immediate relief, uou could make use of say a Flower Essence like this combo:
http://www.blessedfloweressences.com/Blog/products/combination-essences/anger/

You might need mineral supplementation. Calcium is calming, even sedative if enough is taken and absorbed. So be sure you're getting enough of it and in a form you can absorb.

If you know there is nothing medically wrong, you might benefit from a liver cleanse and/or liver balancing herbal formula like this one:
http://www.naturessunshine.com/us/product/liver-balance-tcm-concentrate-30-caps/1008/

Or just using calming / sedating herbs. I think the flower essences are more likely to give you better results so long as you dose often/high enough.

Mentally/emotionally, it can help to renew your ideals in life, or at least come up with a clear view of how you want to utilize your high energy levels and strong constitution, rather than just assume you need to suppress these energies in order to get rid of the anger/aggression.

Ask for the answer/cause of this and expect insight in your dreams at night or at some moment when you are not expecting it. Ask that it be made so clear that there is no doubt left -- because you want to be ____(patient, loving, etc). Write down your insights, because it will likely be complex and involve more than one thing.

Notice that the divine feminine tames this beast (animus). Notice the flowering plants she holds.

I have Sun/Moon/Venus/Mercur in Aries. I can be impulsive but I can be tolerant and calm. My anger is slow to build but then I have Mars in Taurus forming tsquare with apluto and Jupiter and I feel that my issue is more mental and ruminating in negative thoughts rather than exploding. The elements are in the 3rd, 6th and 9th houses.

Recently I do feel more irritable and even exploded, because of a difficuld phase and tiredness. Transit Pluto is square my Aries stellium.

I guess that a good way to channel Mars anger would be exercising, like a workout. Thought my Mars is more of chilling and relaxing to stop anger.
