So im looking at this book by Tracey Marks called Art Of Chart Interpretation and she has a paragraph dedicated to solar eclipses:

"SOLAR ECLIPSES occur when the New Moon conjuncts its nodal axis; LUNAR ECLIPSES, when the Full Moon conjuncts its nodal axis. Since solar and lunar eclipses eacj occur approximately twice a year, we must consult an ephemeris or a table pf eclipses in order to determine wheater or a person was born under a New Moon or Full Moon was born within 24 hours og an eclipse. People with eclipsed Duns generally experience a weakness of vitality, will and self-esteem, but are also capable of using their physical energy and developing their identity in a high unique mannor. People with Eclipsed Moons are usually emotionally unstable and dependant, but they havr access to transformative levels of feeling and intuition which they can, if they are able, effectively channel into creative activities.
The position of thr last solar eclipse before birth usually indicates an area of life in which we experience continual crises, in wjich we feel compelled to test our limits and develope ourselves. See Robert Jansky's Interpreting the eclipses for more information."

I'm confused (or maybe just confusing myself?). I know a natal moon can't conjunct its nodes. would the pre-natal new moon or progresses new moon play a part here?
I checked and my progressed new moon and PNM sun are both at 27°pisces. is everyone's progressed new moon conj their sun?

natally I have sun at 17° pisces and NN at 23°

Saw your question.... Was a little confused.

Wasn't sure whether this was a question about the effects of Prenatal and Postnatal Eclipses?

Or, is this question regarding Lunation Cycles?

At astro com, under their chart selections, there are choices under Progressions--

* Natal and prenatal New Moon
* Natal and Progressed New Moon

Is that what you're looking at?

Dane Rudhyar wrote a book called The Lunation Cycle (Aurora Press).

- http://www.aurorapress.com/html/rudhyar_8.html

I own the book ... the paper is easier to read!
Here is an url to a small section of it, electronically.
Get the book-- there is sooo much more to it.
http://www.mindfire.ca/The%20Lunation%20Cycle/The%20Lunation%20Cycle.htm

It is about the 29 1/2 year cycle with Saturn;
and the 29 1/2 day cycle of Moon (in a month).

This is a spiritual more-'felt' cycle, than anything you could plot with events (although some could happen).

I haven't really studied it in any depth, yet.

Without getting into interpretations---

Astrodienst ( www.astro.com/ ) has a selection that calculates it--
From Home, choose 'Extended Chart Selections'
Make sure to include Part of Fortune on list.

Go to Circular drop menu, and scroll down to
Progressions

- Natal and pre-natal New Moon
- Natal and progressed New Moon

Finding pre-natal New Moon is same as...

Opening your ephemeris to your birthday.

The New American Ephemeris 20th Century {up to year 2000-- there's a 21st Century for those born after Millenium},
Rique Pottenger (Michelsen edition)
- http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/new-american-ephemeris-for-the-20th-century-1900-2000-at-midnight-rique-pottenger/1103720350
{It is possible to find an e-book download for this one.}

Continuing in the Pottenger ephemeris ...
Look at your birthday.
Look below on the page...

Find table for Moon-Phases & Eclipses

Look above your date in that table.
Find New Moon {'blackened dot' or dark moon} just before the date you were born.

THAT is the pre-natal New Moon.

e.g.
my PRE-natal happened May 21. 'NM 0.01 Gemini'
I was born later on the 29th.

Now, back to your ephemeris,
After your pre-natal new moon,
continue down the moon phases until you see the NEXT New Moon (black circle).

This is the NEXT New Moon to occur right AFTER you were born.
Make a note of it ...

e.g.
Mine..
After May 21 NM, the next occurred--
On Jun 20. NM 28.05 Gemini.
{ SN, Total Solar Eclipse lasting 07'08"}
Planet = natal Mercury Gemini 27+(28).
Planet = natal Mars Cancer 2+

{{Rudhyar says if 'Lunation' (we're looking up) happened in degrees of your natal planet, then it is important. Make a note of it.}}

e.g.
mine
After June 20,
NEXT New Moon occurred July 19. NM 26.02 Cancer.
Planet = natal Uranus Cancer 25+
Planet = natal Jupiter Cancer 27+

{{ This is the lunation cycle I am currently in, until 2035. If you look at the chart-wheels drawn by astrodienst, they have the duration, span of dates effective, printed in Red.
.. Also, you'll note around the rim of the wheel, are the MC, AC, and Part of Fortune. }}

You'll want to print out the Data Sheets too.

REFS for more study

That's all I'll leave you for now.

See what you come up with for your own.
