I have a pressing question that I've been searching an answer for all over the internet without any kind of success (other than finding out that Uranus on your tenth house signifies an unusual career).

I need to know how to see if there is a career in astrology indicated in the natal chart of a person. How does one go about looking for indicators?

Google has not been my friend here and I hope that your collective knowledge can help me shed light on this matter.

First and foremost I think the WHOLE chart, read as a whole, can really help you in pinpointing what your career could be like.

As for particular aspects and indicators, the north node and the 6th house help. I understand that the 10th house can be the house of career, but it's really not the whole picture at all.

The 6th house is, among other things, the house of service. So we can think of this as how would we serve the world and others, and what would our type of service be like?

For example, my 6th house, for the most part, has Libra. Libra can mean a few things, and for me, I know it means service in terms of beauty, art, balance, refinement, elegance, fashion. Because those are things I am already interested in. It's not the WHOLE thing for me, but it IS part of what I am interested in, and more often than not I enjoy sharing myself with the world, and being of service, in a harmonious, artistic way that is very Venusian. I make jewelry, bags, I dance, I sing, I like to dress stylishly.

6th house is Virgo which is traditionally ruled by Mercury. So, with Libra (Venus) in the 6th, it would be "how I communicate my service" to the world. And if you've got a PLANET in your 6th house, that gives even MORE power and direction to the type of career one might be more satisfied in. I've got Venus there, so again, emphasis on love, beauty, art, refinement and some luxuries. That's a pretty superficial description, but it is just to illustrate in a simple way how it can affect what we do and like to do.

A friend of mine, she has GEMINI in her 6th house, and she is simply interested in ALL FORMS of communication, and learns languages, and even became a language teacher, and Gem is known as a talker - which she also loves to do. She turned what she loves to do naturally into something profitable. She also dabbles in translation, which she can do in 6 other languages.

And another friend of mine ALSO has Gem in the 6th house, and he also works with language in the form of programming! My brother also has Gem half in his 6th house, and he's a programmer, and has even written his own programming languages.

And, LOL I keep looking through charts of people I know, so many with Gem! My uncle, who is a mathematician, has Gemini in the 6th house. Again, a language, as math(+geometry) is the language of the universe.

Though, something to keep in mind, with astrology, it's always a matter of choice of the individual, because who knows, there could be 6th houses that don't make sense, so perhaps the person chose a career in another direction based on another aspect/placement. And perhaps those aspects over power, or maybe even there are harsh aspects to the 6th house etc.

This person has cancer in the 6th house cusp and the moon conjuncts the ascendant and Venus. It also makes interesting aspect to other planets, for example, it sextiles Uranus and also sextiles mercury (both mercury and Uranus conjunct with each other on the 11th house. The moon also square Pluto.

There is a very strong pull toward pursuing astrology as a career but I just don't see it because the person is highly Saturnian.

I am extremely inexperienced and I feel like the answer is staring at me but I can't see it.

Either way, the sixth house is something I didn't think of but your suggestion sends me off to explore toward a good direction.

Look for it in strong aspect to MC (in declination or longitude), or making aspects from the 1st house and/or to Asc, Sun, Moon, Mercury. Those aspects to calculated points will only be in truly accurate charts, something surprisingly lacking with many charts, including astrologers.

There are two kinds of astrologers, Uranian and Neptunian. Many are a combination of both, but the more Neptunian ones tend to approach astrology with a muddle of the metaphysical, esoteric, or psychic. The Uranian types tend to be aimed at astrological clarity with use of mathematics, technical, or technological tools. Some like Rudhyar can write extensively about it, because they are gifted writers, whether or not they are really gifted astrologers. So publishing books on astrology is more making a living writing.

Have always struggled with the career, as if I had not found my way yet. Have worked as a languages teacher in the past. I studied for being an air hostess but did not had luck in this arena.

My moon has no bad aspects except it's in her detriment by sign.

I would like to know what is my career path. Have been preparing myself for being a police officer but in my location it's not easy at all and there are no chances.
