oooooooh kaaaaaaaay. Well I've transcribed part of it if you all would prefer to read it. She gets into it at about 2.50, and here's what she says: "And the truth really is that the new age is actually satanic. And I know people really hate that word. I used to hate it too. But it's not from god. Everything from the new age is not from god. I don't care the experiences you've had, I don't care the feelings you get. I don't care the state of your mind. I know for sure the truth is in Jesus Christ. And whoever is a born again Christian will know that too. Ami Anne, if you're listening to this, if you're still around - IDK, I really hope and pray that god will lead you back to him, because you cannot be a born again Christian and practice astrology. It's impossible. It's impossible to have 1 foot in Christianity and the other in the new age." I stopped there, there's more, but you get the general idea. Anyhow, she's made it clear she doesn't really much care what anyone thinks if they don't agree :P I'd nitpick everything but it'd just be a waste of time.

I did not watch the video. This post is mainly based on what Lala wrote down from part of it.I don't want to be rude, but there's no nicer way to put this. This video is incredibly offensive and judgmental. There is nothing wrong with astrology. However, as with anything, including religion, astrology can be misused. Not everything associated with the occult is bad either, though I personally believe that contacting spirits and such is not a desirable decision. It can honestly backfire on people to contact spirits so anything that is used to this end may, yes, be a bad idea. Astrology, on the other hand, is a perfectly harmless thing to study. God does not mind if people practice it. More importantly, considering my view of God is likely different from how he's described in religious texts, it is unlikely that we will agree on what God is like. Unfortunately, my opinion on the video is that it is complete nonsense without an ounce of truth. I see it merely as the opinion of whoever created this video and perhaps yours as well. Do not act like what you believe is "the truth." It's not. It may be what you think and believe, but this thread is offensive, because it suggests that everyone should believe what you do. No one is going to. I also do not mean to sound like you don't have the right to choose your own beliefs and that what you believe is not a valid perspective. You are free to alter your lifestyle according to what your views are if you want to and you seem to have done this. All I'm saying is don't preach to others like they would benefit from the same things you do. Keep your opinions as simply that: opinions. It's in bad taste to label your opinions as "the truth." What works for you will not work for everyone. Additionally, with all of this said, the video creator not being willing to see any perspectives but their own says a lot about them. This makes me skeptical that anything in the video is based on any real legitimate truth. Stay true to yourself and what you believe. Just don't push your own views onto others. Many people on this forum, me included, are doing just fine with the lifestyle we've chosen for ourselves. IP: Logged |

Hi Doux! *waves* I agree with some of it. Some of it is complete bull$hit!! You can't find truth in words. But then again, if it works for you, makes you happy, why not? Good luck. IP: Logged |

I believe in God and I also believe that astrology (or patterns/positions of planets) "colors" humans. I don't think this will affect my relationship with God one bit. Why would believing, and knowing (through research), that Uranus as an example, can make one's brain slightly eccentric and that it's hard to deal with, be offensive? I also don't twiddle-twaddle in "the occult" and I don't reeeeally see how that can be mixed up with pure astrology anyway although I CAN SEE HOW SOME people would do this for the sheer amusement. Edit: I did listen to the YT post. IP: Logged |

Doux Reve, I am also born again and I have a complicated relationship with astrology in the sense that I am aware of the correspondence between the stars and planets and what is happening in our lives, so I do pay attention to things like Mercury retrograde and eclipses, but I firmly believe that it is GOd who has the last word so this has allowed me to not live by the stars as I used to. In my chart, transiting Neptune is approaching a conjunction to my ascendant and a trine to my Saturn, so there is some truth to astrology, just that astrology does NOT give us the WHOLE truth. I strongly suspect transit Neptune is also making strong aspects in your chart. Even your name Doux Reve suggests Neptune is strong natally. Oh, and I don't do occult anymore like tarot etc I think they can be used by evil spirits to deceive us... However, I don't think haranguing people in the way you do will reach any heart. As for the "last days" things, I also fell for this, but I am finding out that there are other christians views on the subject. What you are espousing is the dispensationalist view of last days and it has been very popular with evangelicals. There are other views like the Preterists views, which claim that the Book of Revelations predictions were fulfilled by the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, and I have recently been looking into it and am coming in agreement with them. I have been listening to Gary De Mar on Youtube and he has some very good books on the subject of Last days madness. There is so much to learn regarding Christianity. Congratulations on being born again, but I would suggest you do educate yourself more in the various theories instead of just adopting the most popular ones. IP: Logged |

So I guess the 3 Kingsmen were doing something satanic when they looked to the stars to find Jesus? I hear fear in your words. Having faith and having your own set of beliefs is amazing, but the fear is preventing you from truly trying to connect people with "the truth". When you approach out of love and love for your religion your words will impact the listener differently. Christianity which in of itself is a beautiful set of constructed values and morals will fall apart when inspecting each tiny detail. Keep in mind those words were written by the agenda of corrupted man, and many of the scrolls were lost over the years. I don't believe in any religion that promotes fear and separation, but I think there is something of value in many of them. If Christianity calls to you, it's because you need something it teaches.and maybe you can truly touch the lives of people through practice. Don't let the fear win. IP: Logged |

I've been thinking about astrology and tarot and whether they have an unhealthy aspect recently. I was fairly dismissive of that being so before. However, tarot readings often seem in the absence of trust which is a component of faith. Often it's about want and wanting control - but usually to compensate for a deficiency of power I.e to know what's going on. I can see how these can conflict with love. Then again, some people are suffering very much and I have to wonder how long or to what degrees God wants them to suffer. Until they believe in him - is faith *that* virtuous and worthy - it could be countered it's equally ruled by fear and ego. What I think is that belief in God is belief in ourselves, belief in ourselves is belief in God. True - a lot of esoteric things represent a lack of belief inherently. But overall I think why they are used and how is the key. Just like there's such a subtle and yet significant difference in faith out of fear or love. I.e. You can tell when it's a good thing - *when* it is a good thing - you can feel it in every cell. But not necessarily when it's a bad thing. The same actions and beliefs can have chasms between them when the motivation is from a different source. I remember just before you became absent I wondered if you were experiencing a path I was. There was something very familiar about your distancing then. Anyway, I sometimes think I have ruined my soul. It's been pressing on me recently. Not because of esoteric things per se but because of the person that I am that made me interested in them. So in a way I don't think the use matters as long as it's from the right place but I can certainly see how it can push one into a darker place.

Why? I had saturn aspecting my sun and moon all year and at times my sun/moon midpoint and I dont relate to her nor will I ever claim to know the truth without a doubt specially in the context of spirituality or claim to be enlighten and sag is my strongest sign and neptune my strongest planet. She is a scorpio with moon in gemini, that much I know. IP: Logged |

I am so truly happy that you found Jesus. That is everything.Astrology is a science and God made the charts as a blueprint of ourselves, but we can disagree on this. @Doux Rêvebest of the wishes for you! It always feels nice and feels RIGHT to be connected to something higher than ourselves, and God is the highest of all, planets are just energies like us, although I believe humans can go higher than planets, this is why astrology won't affect complete humans, they're actually the ones influencing astrology planets are here for us to manage our worldly life...they're like gifts from God...certainly nothing evil about them, actually the only evil today in the world is from those zionists murdering people and children in middle east directly by bombing them or by creating terrorist groups like daesh or the rest.. these filthy ones believe in kabbalistic and satanic arts, they label themselves "modern", but they believe in black magic more than some unprivileged african tribe kept in primary situations... they justify themselves by all means to reach their nasty and evil goals..which is swallowing the whole world and putting everybody under their bondage..they're the evil world-bullies controlling economies and dictating their politics...and you know what the funniest part is? they believe God will reward them for this and keep saying "God Bless"..God will not only not bless them, he actually created His hell for them and the likes of them from past generations! @hypatia238 I completely agree with you. Stellium in 9th with Neptune,Jupiter, Mercury and Sun. And I used to be that guy whom is vocal about their religious beliefs i.e "I have the truth. And I will let everyone know."I think in my case it was Mercury/Mars square .I just felt that I was right about what I believed. And I disliked being challenged. But also felt that I had to "right" others. I asked about Saturn because I have seen this effect on others. Not necessarily religiously. But often it results in them being absolute about things, more conservative and rigid

I feel the same way. I love God and believe in him. I pray to him everyday. I follow astrology and people have told me that I cant be a Christian and believe in astrology. I dont see how me believing in astrology has to do with me going against God. The way I see it is God put the stars there for us. The stars at the time of our birth help determine our inborn personalities. I dont follow astrology for predictions, that's when it gets more away from God but I follow it for fun in trying to understand myself better and how my personality plays in the outside world. But ultimately we control ourselves and I pray to God for help and answers. So ultimately I dont feel like Im doing wrong. IP: Logged |

I wonder if this is the time, place and day to say I so don't believe in 'Jesus'! But each to their own. I will never get how the people can associate astrology (and kinesiology, I'm one), to religion. Two totally different things! IP: Logged |
