That's something I've only heard about---
Speed of different bodies in the natal.- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_apex
Here's a definition from a book I have.
Fred Gettings (1985, 1990).
The Arkana Dictionary of Astrology
Penguin.
QUOTE page 475
Solar Apex. A term used to denote the objective of solar motion through space,
a motion which has been identified by some astrologers with the 'target of personality' in relation to the zodiacal motion of the Sun as reflected in horoscope charts.
The solar apex has been used as fiducial to overcome the anomaly of the slight proper motion of fixed stars, which makes for imprecise definition of the zodiacal fiducial.
The sidereal astrologer Garth Allen proposed that the sidereal zodiac should take the solar apex as a fiducial, locating what he called the 'synetic Vernal Point' 90 degrees east of the solar apex.
Thus, for the first time in the history of astrology, a zodiac was co-ordinates independent of the fixed stars.
It was assumed by the siderealists that the solar apex was a point located in the first degree of Capricorn (but see the related figures of Lanscheidt in GALACTIC CENTRE), and that this point was not subject to proper motion.
However, in spite of the provision of exact degrees,
and indeed of a simple ephemeris by Landscheidt,
it has been shown that the apex may not be regarded as a point,
but as an arc extending to almost 6 degrees,
which calls into question the validity of the synetic Vernal Point concept.
def. fiducial page 192
QUOTE
The fiducial or fiduciary is a point
(in astrology very often a fixed star)
determined as a a fixed position for a basis of comparative measurement.
The term is derived ultimately from the Latin fides (faith)
and refers to something in which one may place trust.
The fixed star ALDEBARAN was on of the earliest of fiducials...
def. galactic centre p.210
QUOTE
A term used to denote the centre of gravity for the entire matter of the GALAXY.
The astrologer Landscheidt has provided an ephemeris for the galactic centre, and the related SOLAR APEX, which he calls the 'apex-ephemeris.'
In 1980, the galactic centre was 26 degrees 35 minutes of Sagittarius,
and the solar apex was 2 degrees 10 minutes Capricornus.
The progress of the former is about 1 minute per annum,
the progress of the latter being approximately 8 minutes of arc per decade.
def galactic point. p.210-211
QUOTE
The point where the plane of the solar system cuts the plane of the GALAXY.. is located by most astrologers on
the axis of 15 degrees Sagittarius/Gemini.
A planet on the former degree is in direct conjunction (alignment) with the galactic centre,
while a body in the latter degree will be cut off (symbolically speaking) from a view of the galaxy by the interposed body of the Earth.
The degrees are regarded as extremely critical, especially in the mundane affairs:
,
as the astrologer Davison has remarked--
Mars (conjunct with Uranus) was in the latter degree at the exploding of the atomic bomb over Hiroshima.
