I'm watching episodes of this show called "Air Crash Investigation" (called "MayDay" in the U.K. and Canada I think) and it's a show where each episode centers around a plane crash where more often than not people died. The latter part of the episode tries to figure out what happened that led to the crash and then the aftermath of it. It made me wonder if any astrologers or people well adept in astrology accurately used transits, progressions and other methods of astrological prediction to save themselves from certain death in a plane accident or another tragedy.

Have any of you seen transits or progressions to your natal chart on the day of an event that made you either cancel your trip to the event altogether or change the time you left for the event (like a plane flight for example)? I remember years ago a family friend who was into astrology told me that she was supposed to be on an ill-fated flight for a vacation that resulted in many deaths but looked at the transits to her chart for the day and time of the flight and decided to reschedule the vacation flight to another day. It makes me believe that events are predestined and you are meant to experience things or not. For example, perhaps my family friend was meant to accurately read the transits to her chart and save herself because she wasn't meant to die that way, but perhaps there are stories of astrologers inaccurately reading transits to their charts for an event and thinking they were safe to do something when in reality they weren't.

In astrology or biblical,

I think when you die, then your work is done per biblical and astrology from what I read shows four exit points in ones natal chart. I know one is the IC and you can read on it if you'd like but from what I gather when the soul has learned the lessons that it is meant to , then it will exit at that exit point. I do think that when it is your time, you will go kinda like Final Destination where you really can't cheat death.

From my chart, I am suppose to die in a car crash. What is really weird , Saturn just crossed into my 4th house not too long ago in Sag but is totally intercepted in Capricorn. I was in an car crash on the interstate yet, just knew it wasn't my time to go. I think I got more freaked out after the fact but the car was smashed on the side I was on , it was the only side that had any damage. I walked away scratch free where a mechanic was like whoever was on that side are they ok or where they injured badly.

I have seen things from solar arc but it is really hard to avoid them as it can happen in whatever form. Last time I had some troubling thing going on in my chart a fell a sleep with hair dryer in my lap. There was small fire nothing more serious than that but I was in my home and thought I managed through that day,,,but that arc took that form then. I think it's still beneficial to keep an eye what's happening in the skies and not book that flight for example but I don't believe one can run away from destiny totally.

"Things are meant to happen/predestined" well no and yes. It's all relative and open. Astrology is just the weather. Think of it in terms of there being a snowstorm tomorrow or a twister. Doesn't mean you'll freeze to death or be lifted up into the twister. The possibility is higher, though, and especially if one is not cautious in treacherous weather. But nothing is set in stone. If something bad happens, and the stars 'favor' something bad happening, then it just means the person was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the astro-weather favored that outcome. But, it wasn't that it was 'meant' to be.

Personally, looking back on all the times that I was nearly violated/got groped/ sexually assaulted, Mars was transiting my 7th house Pluto. So, since I noticed that, I'm extra cautious when that transit comes around.

I haven't used it to save my life per se. But I have come to understand that when trans Moon in Virgo is square my Sun in Sag, I am unbelievably stressed . So I should take it easy.

Wow that's truly amazing! I definitely agree that there's a certain time for every event in our life. I personally believe everything happens for a reason.

I appreciate your input. But don't you think if something bad happens and stars favor it to happen as you said then that means it was meant to happen and not just a chance? Like if you meet your spouse through work and your chart and the transits favor that to happen that it indeed was meant for you to meet your spouse through work and no other way?
