We all know that before Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were discovered, some signs shared same planet. Modern rulers of Aquarius, Pisces and Scorpio fit well, but these planets are also very slow.

I find important aspects between personal planets and modern rulers, as inner planets move fast and when aspecting one of these outer planets, they make great energy and you can feel influence of these two.

Sign of modern rulers is not important to person but to generations, but I started to wonder how big actually is their influence in the house of someone's chart.

Scorpio Pluto generation, with Scorpio rising, most of them will have their Pluto in 1st, but will all of them be that intense cause of this placement? Or if they have intense personality, will it be cause of Scorpio rising itself and few other Pluto aspects to personal planets. Sagittarius rising with Pluto in early degrees of Scorpio can also have Pluto in 1st, but also for example can have Moon in 8th, Moon square Pluto or what else.

I picked Pluto as people mostly like to talk about this planet, some of them to me more look like they're trying to be intense than they actually are, cause of some bad ass Pluto placement like this one, but I'm talking for all three planets. Really slow planets, and very long period to move to next sign, so very long period to move to next house, and people with similar ages and same ASCs will not all feel same influence, like they would with Moon in 3rd, for example. Moon in 3rd in my opinion will have more impact and similar characteristics between people who share this placement.

Same goes to house rulers. I'm starting to pay more attention to traditional rulers of signs when it comes to house rulers, they are faster and their energy is more active, so I think their role in the house will be more active than the role of modern ruler.

What do you think?

Well even among traditional rulers there is a significant time gap in their movement. Moon spends around 2 and a half days in a sign, Saturn spends around 2 and a half years.

But yeah, it is a bit too much in the case of Pluto which can spend upto 30 years(LOL!!).

Yes, but Saturn is still faster and can change house position faster. 2 and a half years are not 7, 14 and 20 years, even more.

^ But the slow ones have the same effect regardless of the time they spend in a sign, the outer planet transits to personal planets can be hell if one doesn't know how to manage the energy. A person who existed before going through a pluto transit might no longer exist by the time the transit ends.

If you compare 3 days and two and a half years, same question can be raised and I am pretty sure in older times same question has been raised by astrologers regarding the use of Saturn.

But yeah, I kind of do get what you're saying. Are all Pluto in first house intense? Nope, it depends upon the overall strength of Pluto in the natal chart I believe, taking their aspects and sign into consideration, not just their house placement. And ofcourse, the way they have been raised, the beliefs they have, these all play a significant role along with the natal chart.

I said I find aspects between outer planets and personal important in Natal, so I think the same when it comes to transits. But when it comes to house the outer planet transiting not much, as a lot of other transiting aspects will be made through years and influence of that planet will not be same all the time.

Just one more thing want to mention, I didn't add above. I don't think they don't have influence at all, I do think outer planets will have their influence even in houses, but much much less. So, yea, if someone have 1st in Scorpio, I would check both Mars and Pluto position, but will pay more attention on Mars for sure.
