What does it mean when a sign doesn`t rule a house? And for example if you have a cancer moon in the 11th house but gemini is on the cusp of that house what does this mean and how will this be in synastry? Will people with gemini influence have their planets in your 11th house or is it cancerian people that have their planets in your 11th house or is it both? Or does it mean cancerian people won`t have any of their planets in any of your houses? And what happens when a sign rules two houses? For example someone that has leo in both the 1st and 12th house cusps and they meet someone with a leo mars does it mean the mars person has their mars in the house person`s 12th and 1st house? Thanks for any feedback. IP: Logged |

SleepyDiary,The chart should simply be interpreted based on what is there, not with any assumption that it 'should' be another way. So with Gemini over the cusp of the 5th it (and Mercury) colors the general expression of those matters. So what you've described is that Gemini IS on that cusp, so it doesn't matter if Cancer isn't. You might find some connections with children or romantic interests or even business partners who have placements in Gemini. No, it doesn't mean Cancerian people won't have planets in your houses. It doesn't matter when a sign rules two houses. What matters in such charts (assuming they are accurate on the Asc) is the house pair that is expanded so that they entire engulf a sign pair. That is called in interception and it widens those houses, creating at least a bit of extra emphasis in those matters. So for the 1st/7th it would be relationships/teamwork; for the 2nd/8th it would be income/money; and so on... ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology - by the declinations guy Declinations - because the planets move north and south of the celestial equator IP: Logged |

intercepted signs example 2nd house cusp in Taurus but 3rd house cusp in cancer. then you'd either have 2 cusps in Taurus and scorpio or 2 cusps in cancer and Capricorn. sorry so late might have been able to save u from a lot of mess. u interpret it by what ever sign and planet it contains you'll get the full range of what ever those stand for. if its venus you'll deal with all the ups and downs of relationships dealing with what ever house. gemini you'll deal with all sorts of ways of communicating all the good and all the bad. you'll get an extensive course on what ever sign and planet are intercepted. The sign that has 2 cusps will help level balance out the intercepted sign. you'll have a full Taurus house and what ever the cusp of the house that contains gemini
